Submit to Me, Bitch: Dan Webster Vaults Ahead of Alan Grayson
— Ace

Bitch wrinkle kicked.

Webster, a former state senator, leads the freshman congressman 43-36 in the survey of 559 likely voters conducted Sept. 25-27.

Ed Morrissey writes:

Grayson insisted that he ran the ad to defend women, but “women really loathe him,” pollster James Lee reports. Among female voters, Grayson has a 33/53 favorability rating, and Webster beats him by twelve points, 45/33.

More bad news for Grayson -- he's actually still leading with Independents, even in this poll, and still be behind. That probably will not remain the case. Independents often get their news a lot slower than everyone else. I can't see them going for a liar.

Grayson's whole schtick, of course, is that toxic Democratic idea that the way to be "tough" is simply to be obnoxiously dishonest. "Republicans win that way," they tell themselves, and "tough Democrats" fight fire with fire.

Meanwhile they make monsters of themselves. But that's "tough."

Yep. I have a whole pack of in-laws that are more concerned with who will win America's Next Top Talent- or whatever the hell it is- and what little news they do manage to get comes mainly from Stewart and Colbert. The most galling thing about it- and I know no one will believe me when I say this- is that they're all genuinely smart people. Very highly intelligent, actually. They just have no interest in politics (they think it's "divisive") and are in the category of people that don't truly believe that the worst could happen in America. They know things are bad now, but think that it will somehow get better all on its own, so they don't feel all that concerned about the political landscape or what is going on in government.

Dammit, Ace, why do you still insist on this "Ebonics" schtick?

Don't be so hard on Ace. He has Weigelitis.

A vagina is a lot like Disneyland: sometimes it's the Happiest Place on Earth, and sometimes it's wet and slippery like Splash Mountain, and sometimes it's a grand submarine ride.

But, most of the time, it is closed.

Did you notice that the gift shop always stays open though?

102 26 The trouble I have with Prager is that he reminds me of Bennett but with a whiny voice:  He takes forever to make his point and when I'm listening to him I feel like I'm wasting my time.Posted by: Captain Hate at September 29, 2010 11:59 AM (hRNYI)

what I'd like to know about Bennett is how long it took him to memorize Bartlett's Book of Quotations?  And who told him that dropping a quote into every discussion is a good thing to do?

Alan Grayson campaign slogan #59: Floridians have a long, wacky record of botching elections. People have asked, how can we possibly surpass dangling chads, orange governors ad butterfly ballots? The answer is simple; re-elect me.

And, like Disneyland, it undergoes "repairs" once a month.

Which is usually a good thing

I suppose that i will never get used to the cartoon characters wandering in and out. And their escorts.

118 As a concerned Christian conservative and lifelong Republican, I am disturbed that Daniel Webster supports the Compromise of 1850 and also dorking women up the squeakhole.  This is not the American I and my friend Dick Blumenthal fought for in Vietnam.

Mandy (at 82 69) I feel your pain. Have similar in-laws and younger family (nieces and nephews) who are either more interested in the slew of mindless crap on TV so won't learn the truth, or are purposefully liberal ideologues from all that gall durned education they got themselves.

Now our own kids are awakening, and we've got them back in the fold. They want the America they were lucky enough to be raised in, for their kids. Right now, it's looking nothing like it's former self. We do our best to point that out to them all of the time. And inform them when they don't have time to be vigilant. It's all we can do.
