— Ace Bitch wrinkle kicked.
Webster, a former state senator, leads the freshman congressman 43-36 in the survey of 559 likely voters conducted Sept. 25-27.
Grayson insisted that he ran the ad to defend women, but “women really loathe him,” pollster James Lee reports. Among female voters, Grayson has a 33/53 favorability rating, and Webster beats him by twelve points, 45/33.
More bad news for Grayson -- he's actually still leading with Independents, even in this poll, and still be behind. That probably will not remain the case. Independents often get their news a lot slower than everyone else. I can't see them going for a liar.
Grayson's whole schtick, of course, is that toxic Democratic idea that the way to be "tough" is simply to be obnoxiously dishonest. "Republicans win that way," they tell themselves, and "tough Democrats" fight fire with fire.
Meanwhile they make monsters of themselves. But that's "tough."

Hit the nail on the head. But it's projection. Some of them, though, need to give themselves a justification.

26 Dennis Prager was all over Grayson's idiotic ad yesterday; playing the Webster source material in full and then how it was used in the ad. The trouble I have with Prager is that he reminds me of Bennett but with a whiny voice: He takes forever to make his point and when I'm listening to him I feel like I'm wasting my time.
I know, and you're a great American for pointing that out!

Yep. I have a whole pack of in-laws that are more concerned with who will win America's Next Top Talent- or whatever the hell it is- and what little news they do manage to get comes mainly from Stewart and Colbert. The most galling thing about it- and I know no one will believe me when I say this- is that they're all genuinely smart people. Very highly intelligent, actually. They just have no interest in politics (they think it's "divisive") and are in the category of people that don't truly believe that the worst could happen in America. They know things are bad now, but think that it will somehow get better all on its own, so they don't feel all that concerned about the political landscape or what is going on in government.

And the worst part about it all is that my politically clueless relatives all think that my husband and I are the ones who are so out of touch. Because we've mostly withdrawn from popular culture and don't follow the music or the 8000 reality TV shows they DVR each week. And when we try to explain that we follow politics and government instead of their stuff because it's infinitely more important and will be a determining factor the lives of our children, they look at us like we're extremist nutballs.

Now our own kids are awakening, and we've got them back in the fold. They want the America they were lucky enough to be raised in, for their kids. Right now, it's looking nothing like it's former self. We do our best to point that out to them all of the time. And inform them when they don't have time to be vigilant. It's all we can do.
