One of my favorite commenter quotes ever. Forget who said it, but I don't forget the line:

One thing I notice in this post (which, frankly, mostly escapes me) is that the scientist writing it makes actual predictions by which his theory can be judged correct, incorrect, or correct but incomplete.
Remember when scientists used to do that? When they used to bother with the third and fourth step of the scientific method? Good times, good times.

The window of opportunity for politicians to do something, anything, that would allow them to take credit for the cooler temperatures is now long past. Nature has done it without them.

If the author is correct, this is something that man can do very little about.
Also, did you guys know that twice in geologic time the earth was COMPLETELY covered in ice? I mean all over, sort of like a giant ice ball.
Not exactly something I care to think about as I look out at the snow-covered ground when IT ISN'T EVEN WINTER YET!

There is a very good documentary of this called "The Cloud Mystery" on YouTube, in several parts. More people need to see it, because then they would start realizing what we are up against.

Anyone in radio communications have known about this forever. The 10 meters, 12 meters, 15 meters, and 17 meters bands are especially affected by sun spots. The current prediction is that although there will be an increase in sun spot activity it will peak at a much lower level than more recent cycles.

1. Choose an assertion that supports a liberal cause.
2. Publish carefully tailored data that supports the assertion.
3. Full court publicity press that results in Congressional hearings.
4. Savage reputations of unbelievers.
5. Get rich off grants, lectures, books and investments in rent-seeking enterprises.
When the theory's disproven, return to #1.
