There's no such thing. Recess appointment.

You know, even if Pelosi has the votes and is giving out "Save yourself" cards t some Democrats... it doesn't matter. Keeping up the pressure until there is a vote is what matters. Keep calling. Keep faxing. Bombard Congress with complaints. Show up tomorrow at noon on the Western lawn.

7 Where's Gabe to tell us they don't have the votes? This shit is passing folks. Now WHAT are we going to do about it??
Pretty much what we should do if it does pass. Storm the capital, flood the phones, don't give them a moment's rest.
From now 'till November and beyond.

At his weekly on-camera briefing with reporters, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) emphasized that while Republicans can’t beat the Democrats’ government takeover of health care bill, the American people can. Boehner noted that the American people will hold Washington Democrats accountable for every new payoff, kickback, and sweetheart deal that is discovered in this bill. Lastly, Boehner also questioned the credibility of Democrats’ CBO score given that the $371 billion ‘doc fix’ is not included in the final bill.

Boehner didn't cave. Actually, Boehner's been great throughout this whole thing. His presser todat was pretty forceful, too.

Leading up to the vote, Democratic leaders worked their members hard to ensure the bill's passage. Last week, President Barack Obama invited Kosmas to the White House for a 15-to-20 minute conversation to personally lobby the freshman lawmaker on her vote.
She responded by pressing Obama on NASA. Kosmas represents Kennedy Space Center, which is set to lose up to 9,000 jobs when the space shuttle retires this year. She wants Obama to consider adding shuttle flights and giving NASA more money so it can accelerate plans for a replacement, thereby helping KSC workers who are tasked with readying NASA spacecraft for flight.
Kosmas denied accusations of a quid pro quo and said she would have been derelict in her duty if she didn't take her rare time with the president to push for NASA. "I would not have been doing my job had I let that opportunity go by without advocating for my position there," she said.
She said Obama did not make any promises on NASA, although she mentioned she had personally called the president Friday afternoon to inform him of her decision.
No Quid Pro Quo? Suzie, that's a doozy. Being a freshman representative, she's going with the One and Done option. I wonder what fat, juicy job Obama promised her.

That wasn't a cave, he said that earlier today, just noting that the republicans need help from the people.

"Lastly, Boehner also questioned the credibility of Democrats’ CBO score given that the $371 billion ‘doc fix’ is not included in the final bill. "
The GOP has done a terrible job pointing out that the doc fix ain't included. Maybe they'll man-up and fight the coming doc fix to highlight what the fucking DemonCrooks have done.

The Republican's, however, did a real shitty job raising awareness on this issue. They had months and months to connect with The People at town hall meetings.
Instead they stayed in Washington being jerked around by the Democrats and relied on people like Rush and Beck to get the word out about what Obama and the Democrats are pulling.

Only about 6 or so Dems need to be kept from the vote tomorrow. How can we legally and peaceably accomplish that short term goal?
Posted by: s'moron at March 19, 2010 02:08 PM (UaxA0)
It isn't like his earlier statements, though. Sounded like they were giving up trying with all the amendments they'd been bringing forward, like Cantor's earlier today. But that's just the bits I'm getting from his website, so I may be wrong. Maybe they were just giving pieces of the interview?

still He was an employee, the Police eventually agreed with him He had a right to be Heard, It wasn't as if he was standing outside the mans house scaring his family or making threatening phone calls which Stupak Is getting. so should we add this to some obscure but retrievable;list of malfeasance on Dem Senators part , acting threatening towards Citizens that are asking to be heard?

Well, to double down on the Eeyore, we will not be lucky enough to get Canuck Care. You see, we have something Canada and Britain don't have as much of. Lawyers.
Somebody gets a pair of forcepts sewed into their body after surgery? In Canada, they take them out for free and you'll like it. Here it's a multimillion dollar award.
Ain't no way you can keep costs down in that environment.
I am really stunned. With all of the bribes, threats, parliamentary maneuvers, in the midst of 9.7% unemployment, they are going to do this thing.
With Ellsworth, it's clear they don't even hope to keep the Senate.

Don't shoot the messenger, here!
Wait, whoa, Harry Reid now says a vote for public option will be coming in the next few months? Anyone heard this one?
Posted by: Miss'80sBaby at March 19, 2010 02:13 PM (J46Fi)
That doesn't mean we give up. We keep up the pressure. I refuse to let my granchildren inherit the Third World country Obama envisions for America.
Remember when the British Army had to evacuate at Dunkirk in small boats, and it looked like the British Army was defeated? Chruchill, in reporting to Parliament, gave the speech with the famous quote "We shall fight them in the streets, we shall fight them in the fields....we shall never surrender."
I don't care if this guy declares himself President for Life, I will never surrender. I will fight until I am unable to go on through infirmity or old age. These people are evil and want to destroy this nation, and I consider it my responsibility as an American and a Christian to oppose them however I can.
I will not quit. I intend to make their lives a living hell.

This is definitely a winnable race. And probably the best GOP candidate is Karen Diebel. Her website is here.
