— Ace Target Number 2.
Target. So incendiary.
The Tea Party Express has raised more than $50,000 over the past few days to target Democratic Rep. Bart Stupak, whose last minute deal over abortion language in President ObamaÂ’s health-care bill allowed the legislation to pass, the Daily Caller has learned. The group is in the production stage of developing ads for a major TV and radio blitz throughout Michigan starting April 6th. The group considers Stupak to be their No. 2 target, after Sen. Harry Reid.
“We expect to really juice up all these stops, and make ‘stupaking’ a household verb for putting a spotlight on a politician that sells out his own principles,” said a Tea Party Express staffer of the group’s bus trips across the country.

That is predicated on two impossibilities:
One, that there are politicians with principles
Two, that there are politicians who would NOT sell anything they are in contact with.
Other than that, its a great idea.

Not at all. They pronounce it tar-jay. The "tar" part is clearly racist, though.

Charlie Rangel (D-NY) told reporters at NY1 that the tea party patriots were just like the groups that attacked blacks during the civil rights movement.
Charlie is clearly a racist.

Isn't it more better to spend the $$ on helping Stupak's opponent win rather than a bunch of negative ads about Stupak?
In other words, oh I don't know, tell people the reasons why they should vote for Benishek, other than he's not Stupak.

Ace, didn't you show a video of him SAYING, he'd pass health care over his pro-life sentiments? He really was standing by what he'd already said.
He's still a scumbag prolife liar. What idiot believes in prolife democrats anyhow? Any one seen the easter bunny?

These kind of political organizations should be illegal.
I agree.

I used to agree, but as a sincere conservative, now I'm not so sure.

I don't think it's a winning strategy. But if you can give me examples of when it worked, I'd be happy to reconsider my position.

I think John Kerry ran as "I'm not George Bush" in 2004. Kerry told us a million reasons why we shouldn't vote for President Bush but never offered a single reason to vote for him.

The folks at Hillbuzz want to make Stupak a synonym for abortion. I think I might like that better.

No, Obama had a 'fix' for everything. He ran on being the miracle worker who would fix Bush's mistakes. It was all bullshit, but Obama told people why they should vote. And yeah, he did say not to vote for McCain because it would be another term for Bush's policies.

Not at all. Kerry ran on the "surrender in Iraq and run away" line. That was the centerpiece of his campaign and the main reason he lost. The Iraq war was never as unpopular as the media tried to claim it was, and it didn't cost the GOP anything. People supported the war in Iraq and wanted it finished victoriously - though they didn't like the way we fought it with kid gloves.
Kerry also ran on the idea that the economy was the worst ever - which was hysterical.
Kerry also tried to portray himself as hard-assed military patriot, which the Swift Boat Vets totally blew out of the water, thank G-d. And no one has ever picked up Boone Pickens' challenge offering a million dollars (or so) for actual proof that any of the Swift Boat vets had lied.
