Texas democrats have a problem. Her name is Kesha Rogers
— Purple Avenger

Kesha is apparently a black female running as a Democrat for congress in Texas.

She's been stirring up a hornet's nest saying shit like this:

As I have repeatedly stated, Barack Obama is a threat to the continued existence of the United States, and he must be impeached, or resign. The real question is, what will we replace his bad policies with? Real patriots understand the need to think ahead, to create a meaningful purpose and direction as we rebuild our nation. We know that the next several generations need a better world to live in, which can only be a Post-Obama World.

I have based my campaign for U.S. Congress on a vision for a post-Obama world, one full of nuclear power, an interplanetary manned space program, high-speed railroads, and productive jobs for young people. This is a world where Wall Street bailouts don’t exist, and the retirements, mortgages, and life savings of real people are protected from funding someone’s gambling addiction. This is a world where the U.S.A. is once again a sovereign nation, beholden to its citizens, and working with other sovereign nations in pushing forward mankind’s scientific and cultural greatness, by fostering the creative imagination of the individual in society; it is a world free from the industrial-banking cartels of the British Empire, as well as the degraded views of mankind pushed through today’s “pop culture”...

In case you were wondering about the subtle conspiracy theme that kinda bubbled up there, she's apparently a devout LaRouchite.

Desperate times call for desperate measures

Except for the British Empire stupidity, I'm just about ready to subscribe to her newsletter. That bit about protecting mortgages means she's up for reinstating Glass-Steagal. I even like her stance on colonising Mars.

The best thing the Republicans can do? Play some of her actual comments, run them alongside a bunch of Dodd / Frank bankster bullshit, and end "if even Kesha Roberts sees this, why are other Texas Democrats opposing it?" And then sit back with popcorn and watch the Dems turn against one another like so many hungry possums in a cage.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.  What has our national leadership come to when many of the things a LaRoucheian says actually make sense?  I mean, aside from the Queen of England running the world's largest loan shark/cocaine ring with the support of Jewish Bankers, she makes some good points.

16 I'm British. I love the USA. I exalt it. We have our little contretemps, but our nations are blood brothers. The British Army and the Royal Marines are fighting and dying in Afghanistan alongside each other right now. I've had family in theatre, and let me tell you we were in agony every day until she made it safely back. And Britain doesn't have a fucking Empire anymore. Christ almighty, if this were vitriol directed at anyone else (except maybe those awful Yids, who you know deserve it) there'd be hate speech allegations floating around. BP is not British Petroleum. It hasn't been for years. It's 40% American. Seriously, this is scary. If I landed up in her district and spoke with an English accent, would I need to fear for myself? Guess this is what racism feels like. Yeah, sure she's an un-electable nutjob and I'm over-reacting, but this is ugly, ugly stuff. To be convinced, pull up the text on her home page, put it in a text editor, and do Find & Replace Brit -> Jew and re-read it. If you think that's still OK, then good luck to you.

Democratic party nominee Kesha Rogers has a plan for NASA, in colonising the inner solar system.

But when her fellow Democratic President Obama ended the lunar mission, to free up funds to bail out his banker buddies, the other Democrats in Texas rolled over.

Call the Texas Democratic leadership and ask them why they want to silence the only one of their candidates who supports the space program.

Rosa DeLauro is one of the strangest looking women in public life. I stop on C-SPAN sometimes when she is speaking in the House chamber just to marvel that someone that looks as odd as she does can get elected. (Volume on mute, of course. I don't want to actually have to listen to her.)

34 #22 huh

Some of the things that LaRoucheians believe is that the the British empoire still exists in a shadow form.  Essentially the QoE is the head of a vast criminal Empire funded by the Rothschild family. The international organizations created by teh UN exist to destroy our sovereignty (not to far nuts on that one).  The Gold Statndard is where we need to return to (Ron Paul believes this as well and used to be the Rep from that district) because the loss of it causes the loss of our National Sovereignty.

They believe that teh War on Drugs is wrong because it attacks the user and low level seller and not he Banks which profit from the laundering of the drug money.

They believe that the the TVA was but a minuscule start on what the government should do with regards to infrastructure....high speed railroads everywhere powered by national build reactors (at one point the pushed fusion to do this) there by reducing the cost.

They seem to side with Social Conservatives in that they want no legalized drugs, a return to a more conservative society free of the counter-culture and they want AIDS victims segregated...wait I don't think even SoCon's want AIDs victims sent to leper island.

And they want major industries nationalized.

Fascism anyone?

Just think, it isn't only quite possible, but it is very likely that, as you read this, the Obamas are having their breakfast or their lunch served to them by white servants.

Do you think that George and Laura Bush ever made that racial distinction, and arranged to have their meals served to them by black servants?

Think about it. Barack Obama's hateful, spiteful and vindictive behavior with respect to the ways that he treats both domestic and foreign white dignitaries has provided several indications that he is the most racist (and the most ignorant) and the sleaziest and the most despicable person to ever reside in the White House, to which there is a certain grim irony.

Apparently it is with some discomfort that even some black people are now beginning to notice it, also.

68 Tell the British SOB's We're Not Their Colony!

June 3, 2010 -- Let the crisis in the Gulf of Mexico be a lesson to the American people: the British and those who run British Petroleum, still consider the United States as one of their colonies. The time has come to expropriate these British SOBs, kick them out and let them take their puppet Barack Obama with them back to Britain. The Obama Administration has repeatedly rendered this nation incapable of responding to crises as a nation, from the global economic crisis to the Gulf oil leak, this administration's policy is to let the fox watch over the chicken coop.

I have a few problems with that bizarre accusation, three of which are that B-P was a huge financial contributor to the Obama campaign, in return for which, in a sleazy quid pro quo deal that did an end run around several regulations, the Obama Administration arranged for B-P to drill that oil well that is now leaking, in return for which, in another sleazy quid pro quo deal, B-P collaborated with the Obama Administration in writing Cap 'n Trade Legislation which would be mutually beneficial ...., and now the gangsters in the Obama Administration are demonizing B-P for an unpleasant situation that was of the Obama Administration's own making, too? It would be laughable if it wasn't so sick and sordid. (Never mind that the Brits certainly don't consider the USA to be one of their colonies. That accusation is preposterous.)

OK, so let's take a wild guess and see how Democrat identity politics works out in this case. If it's a majority-black district, will they close ranks behind the black candidate? If this happens, what the hell happens when the Dems have a black female in Congress standing up yelling about Obama being a British conspiracy puppet and so on? The "diplomatic immunity" of being a "protected minority" makes her untouchable, right?

Personally I will find it the funniest thing in politics since Bill Clinton gave Monica Lewinsky a cigar.

92 Heheh.  She's a DINO.

Winner!

What is all this carping I'm reading here??? This lady is something very rare among Democrats.  She "gets it".  So, some of her views are peculiar.  At least she's getting a lot of the major points "right".

Does she display an "Obama as Hitler"  poster at her rallys?

And yet, the Liberal Demunist Media depicts the statist La Rouche cultists as "right wing". Typical. The La Rouche cultists are Old Left, not New Right.

I will say this as pluses for the LaRouche Cultists:

1. They totally loathe, and debunk, the eco-weenie Left. They never met a nuclear power plant, hydroelectric dam, oil drilling platform, or water irrigation project they didn't like. In fact, they advocate "terraforming" public works projects that make the Hoover Dam look like a beaver dam.

2. They despise Teh Ghey Left as well. They are a very prudish bunch.

3. At least when they *do* blow taxpayer money, they blow it on cool big grandiose landmark stuff, not welfare crack babies.

#18: Fear not. No one takes the LaRouche cultists seriously.

That said, when they advocate public works projects that make the TVA and the Bureau of Reclamation look like Tinkertoys, part of me has a soft spot for the LaRouche Cultists, if only to debunk the Global Warming Fraud Eco-Weenies.

La Rouchies are leftists, but they don't play well with the other leftists. So I have to like them if only for *that*. Let's pop some corn.

In the sense that her welfare policies involve actually *making things* and not handouts for parasites like you, YES!

In the sense that she is not an eco-weenie Chicken Little who believes the sky is falling, YES!

In the sense of nationalizing even more of the economy than Obamunists like you? Not so much.

108 If she's a LaRouche groupie, she doesn't sound like one.  But on the off chance she is a LaRouche mushroom, I renounce anything I wrote that reads like an endorsement.

I'm still having problems with this Huckabee thing. Huckabee makes Nelson Rockefeller seem like Ronald Reagan conservative.

Being in the GOP is like showering with a bunch of elephants but you're still afraid to drop the soap.

If I remember correctly, the White House Mess Stewards are still almost all Filipino US Navy personnel, a tradition going back to the Spanish-American War.

117 FYI: she's running in the Texas 22nd District, which was Tom DeLay's district until he was forced into resigning by a bogus indictment. A Democrat won the seat in 2006, because the Republicans were not allowed to replace DeLay on the ballot. (The write-in candidate came up a few thousand votes short.) The seat was reclaimed by a Republican in 2008. No serious Democrat filed for it this year.

Rogers is following the Larouchite playbook of aggressively campaigning on whatever issue has a significant number of people upset and serious candidates are showing restraint.

In this case it's NASA's future. Obama has agreed that the Shuttle is to die, and has also killed NASA's favored follow-on, Project Constellation and the Ares/Orion booster/spacecraft package.

Many serious space buffs support this decision, regarding Ares as a dead end and a waste of huge amounts of money. However, as with any big-budget project, there are lots of people whose incomes are tied to it, especially around Houston.

Rogers' having the nomination is a symptom of a deeper illness. Party organizations have lost so much credibility and cohesion that they don't perform the useful function of excluding hosers and whackos from getting nominations. The case of the Larouchites who snaffled two major Democrat nominations in Illinois in 1982 has been mentioned.

This year, Illinois Democrats let a sleazebag get the Lieutenant Governor nomination, and had to run him off after the primary. Meanwhile, Republicans allowed the nomination in the highly contestable 8th Congressional District go to a bozo who is being sued by his ex-campaign staff for back pay.

It's a bit tricky, because what is wanted is not for the organization to endorse some one person, but to "anti-endorse" any bozos, so the voters don't get sold a pig in a poke.

119 There really wasn¡¯t a ¡°first April Fool¡¯s Day¡± that can be pinpointed on the calendar. Some believe it came from celebrations involving the first day of spring.

120 The closest point in time that can be identified as the beginning of this tradition was in 1582, in France. Before that year, the new year was celebrated for eight days, beginning on March 25.
