In a way, yes. Refusing to even recognize opposing voices in debate? Yep, that was definitely part of it.

In case you're curious as I was, Laura Richardson was alas not personally thrown out of power. How sweet that would have been-- to be able to say, "And that's why you personally were fired."

She ran for reelection in California's 37th (Long Beach, Compton) and easily beat challenger Star Parker.

And if you like that, you'll like UK Independence Party (euro-skeptic) Nigel Farage take the euro-fanatics to task, asking them, "Just who in the hell do you think you are?"

Even after a huge turnover like November the GOP is back on the "let's get along" bandwagon, Cantor is caving on full repeal of Obamacare, Boehner wants to make kissy face with Barry, the Senate passed the "food safety" fascism bill, Michael Steele is still funneling hundreds of thousands of NRC dollars into his friend's pockets, and as someone pointed out in an earlier thread, it's a lock that the budget will not only not freeze next Congress but go higher. At our airports we have security theater, at DC we have Congressional kabuki. This isn't a republic any longer, it's a very expensive, very bad stage play and we're all locked in the theater.

I think its one of the reasons I like Sarah P. so much- she is decidedly NOT of the Aristocracy. Its why I like Alan West, and Sean Bielat, and most of the other Tea Party candidates.

22 SB 510 is also a gift to large corporate farms. Just like all the govt regulation that holds down small businesses and benefits the GMs of the country this will give an even larger advantage to the larger farm operations.

They were already regulating small acreage plots. Last year when I rented out my 10 acres I had to have my mother sign the form. The regulation was only disadvantaged farms (Women or Minorities) could rent that small a plot out.

30 Richardson is one of the stupider members of Congress, and that is tough competition. She is a party hack that only got selected into that ridiculously gerrymandered district because she is functionally incapable of voting against the Democrat party line. And she has defaulted on multiple mortgages. Star Parker, on the other hand, is smart, hot, and honest. No wonder she lost.
