Today's Democratic Party Is The Party of Buddy Ackerman
— Ace

What is getting very clear is that we don't count.

Our opinions aren't sought and our consent isn't necessary.

There was a funny film in 1994 called Swimming With Sharks about the nastiest, most arrogant, entitled asshole of a Hollywood producer and his psychological torment of a new assistant.

The Democrats are Buddy Ackerman. You're the assistant.

First clip, just to set the tone. Remember: Shut up, listen, learn: You. Have. No. Brain. What you think means nothing. You are here for me.

Next clip, which really pays it off: Your thoughts are nothing. You are nothing. And yet you have the nerve to walk into my office... Who do you think you are, you snot-faced punk?

1 I love that movie.  I just hope the current movie doesn't end the same way.

4 I disagree.  Buddy Ackerman cared more about his assistant than the Dems care about the American people.  I'd say the Dems are the party of Joseph Stalin.

that reminds me...

Jay Mohr had a great short-lived show in '95? on FOX.
Entourage is pretty much a ripoff of it. Mohr's show was a lot funnier.

12 I don't know where else to get some insight into this behavior, so I'm bringing it here for the group's wisdom:

Reality TV star Tila Tequila says she is ready to go to court over what she calls the "disgusting behavior" of the crowd at an outdoor Insane Clown Posse festival in southern Illinois over the weekend.

Sheriff Tom Seiner of downstate Hardin County, Cape Girardeau, that Tequila was pelted with stones and feces during the gathering of "Juggalos" at the festival at the Hogrock Campground near Carterville. The attack happened in the early morning hours Saturday.

A "Juggalo" is a fan Insane Clown Posse, the horrorcore hip-hop duo from Detroit.

The attack on Tequila, whose real name is Tila Nguyen, can apparently be viewed at YouTube......

Tequila said when she took the stage to start singing the crowd started throwing feces from the portable toilets at her. Seiner also said the crowd also allegedly threw balloons full of urine and bottles at her.

Published reports indicate the crowd was further incited when Tequila removed her top and exposed her breasts onstage before the crowd of about 2,000 people.

She suffered scrapes and bruises but was not seriously hurt.

Tequila tweets that she's contacted her lawyer and she adds, "Pretty soon the owners who run the Juggalos will be bankrupt,"

Tequila is best known as the former host of the Fuse TV show "Pants-Off Dance Off" and her MTV reality show "A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila." She was making her hip-hop debut on "Ladies Night" at the downstate festival.

I remember that.  The big hook for the show was that it had all the dirty language in it, but they merely bleeped out the bad words.  But they were really there.  I think I watched 5 minutes of it and that's it.

That was classic when it was on Fox, with the bleeps left in, such as the opening scene of the series where he parked in the commissary employee of the month's spot then cursed him out and told him that he may as well take a leak in all of the Cobb salads.

I've never even thought of liking the Juggalos before.

P.S.  I have never had any band other than Insane Clown Posse come up as an integral part of a crime but I've had several Insane Clown Posse cases.  (Of course, I've had cases where CDs by various artists were stolen and stuff like that.)  They range from ICP graffiti vandalism to fights between Juggalo gangs and other gangs to a sex assault in which the two perpetrators played ICP while molesting a girl.

Reminds me of a war story.  I took a case to trial in which a woman with a dog broke into another woman's van and stole a Helen Reddy CD containing I am Woman, Here me Roar.  Victim told me she kept that CD handy because she would threaten her kids that unless they straightened up and flew right, she would play the CD.  That was the only case where I ever subpoenaed a dog.  I had the defendant's dog brought in for the victim to ID.

"What Obama Meant to Say About the Mosque"

Excerpt:

Here is where Obama is coming from: regardless of whether Islam IS fundamentally compatible with America, the American government must do everything in its power to make sure that Muslims of the next generation believe that it can be compatible. Even if Osama Bin Laden is not wrong, our national security is predicated on convincing Muslims that he is wrong. It should come as no surprise that Obama supports the mosque's construction: what could be a more powerful counter-argument to the idea that the West is warring with Islam than the American president endorsing the construction of a mosque a few blocks away from a sacred site?

The Ground Zero Victory Mosque: the Mau-Mau Consequences at Whiskey's Place.

"Now that Obama has strongly backed the Ground Zero Victory Mosque, celebrating 9/11 and the Muslim victory over America, it is fair to ask, what will be the consequences? The consequences are easy to foresee, though few wish to speak of them. The Mosque will be built. It will be the focal point for Jihadist, Islamist preachers to celebrate victory and dominance, and 9/11 explicitly. Infiltrators will find a way to smuggle cameras in and post video of Muslims dancing and celebrating 9/11 and the hijackers, praising bin Laden and AQ...."

"Until anger among the non-Muslim population is so high, that an American Mau-Mau movement will spring up. It did not have to be this way. But it is now inevitable."
