GI Joe star, Channing Tatum, burns dick--luckily not while trying to blow up a jet.
Tatum was rushed to the nearest hospital, an hour away. Before long, the ice pack he was applying to the burn lost its chill. "I said to the driver, who was ex-special-forces Marines, 'You might have to knock me out, because I don't know if I can take the pain. Just grab something and hit me on the back of my head.'"

OMG I'm not a guy but that sounds horrific. All those little nerve endings that work so well in the right circumstances can really do their job the other way too. poor guy.

AHIP lobbyists host Martha Coakley in DC to raise money for her floundering campaign.
Meanwhile, AHIP members are funneling 10-20 million dollars to the US Chamber of Commerce to fund ads against Obamacare.
So what exactly is the AHIP agenda. If they're trying to defeat Obamacare, then why are then trying to get Coakley elected?

Already they said "she looked odd all hunched over and having O'Really lauding over her".....Scarborough is describing O'Really as the "God of cable news" (guess O'Really defines himself by what the left thinks). they are saying she si so much bigger than O'Really and she didn't have to do this. They keep saying the visuals are of her very small and diminutive.
Ah, ok, they are talking to some guy named joe who works for Politico and is bragging about how many thousands work for them.

The only one I know is the American Future Fund. NBC reports that "conservative groups" are running ads in the race. NBC is playing up the DNC's Hari Sevugan strategy to rope in outside groups(swift boating) and people(sarah palin) to save the Coakley campaign.

If Law and Order had a Miami franchise, the DA would be arresting Rush Limbaugh for inciting this death with denier speech.

Don't count on Brown to stop Obamacare.
1. Brown wins by narrow margin.
2. Coakley calls for endless recounts.
By the time Brown is seated, the health care bill passage is history.

I'm broke as shit and have a lot of debt
and most of my meals are of the rice-and-beans variety
but I have a job and it pays the bills (just)
so I'm better off than probably a good 40% of the population.
Thank God for small favors.

By the time Brown is seated, the health care bill passage is history.
Dems could do that, sure.
And promptly be smeared into a thin red paste on the House and Senate floor.
Metaphorically speaking, of course.

Real Clear Markets: Goldman Sachs-AIG: It's Likely Worse Than You Think
Of course you'll never see this in the MSM.

Does anyone find it hard to fathom that Port-au-Prince was destroyed on a Biblical level? I don't mean to imply a conspiracy, cosmic or otherwise ... It's just striking that an entire city is gone, and in only a matter of minutes. At least NOLA&co. had a little warning.
Food for thought.

@19, Earthquakes just call up that kind of thinking don't they. Managua was knocked flat, with death tolls in the thousands, not once but twice in the last century. But it was the 1755 Lisbon that really set people off, from Leibniz to Voltaire, Rousseau to Kant. What they just could not accept, was that Lisbon was not an uproarious place. It was noted as being a moderate and godly city, as such things go. And somewhere between 10,000 and 100,000 people died anyway.
So for a century, what we now call the Problem of Evil ("How could God allow this?") was called the Lisbon question. A whole lot of modern philosophical thought was set in motion by one earthquake, and also the science of seismology.

Dr. Moreau story with photo from Pravda by Bogdanova linked @ Drudge.
City of Izmir, Turkey: Erhan Elibol, a vet, performed Cesarean section on the sheep to take the calf out, but was horrified to see that the features of the calfÂ’s snout bore a striking resemblance to a human face. The town folk burnt the baby lamb's body before scientists could examine it.Posted by: Beto at January 13, 2010 11:35 AM (+CLh/)
Haitian's rare earthquake occurred after China altered the geology by removing the underground oil supply, activating the strike slip fault of the plate tectonics.
According to the USGS, the island's strongest earthquake since 1770 followed the 1946 magnitude 8.0 quake that struck the opposite end of the island at Samana, Dominican Republic on a holiday, only killing 100 people. Yesterday's 7.0 quake west of Port-au-Prince at a depth of 5 miles has already had over 30 aftershocks with magnitudes ranging from 4.5 to 5.9.

Top headline of the day (or should be) is old news:
The latest EO Outrage from Obama via Flopping Aces
He is establishing a national council of Governors (nice innocuous name right?). The purpose of this body is to coordinate the use of the military AND the National Guard after being federalized to use in the event of some calamity (invasion is already covered so not needed for that).
Included in the calamity is “civil unrest”. Use of federal troops, including federalized NG in a police power role is a clear violation of law (Posse Comitatus). Of course since Obama and the commiecrats have thumbed their nose at the Constitution with impunity what’s a little violation of a law passed in 1878? Hell, with the current Supreme Court we probably could not even get standing.
Folks it is clear he is getting ready to implement a police State and is only looking for the right incident. Keep in mind that those incidents are easily manufactured by agents provocateur or even out in the open by their own people such as SEIU.
