Thomas Norris -- Medal of Honor recipient (and retired FBI agent). Denied access to White House.
Is this simple incompetence or a concerted effort to demean America?

I suspect that he could have shot them as soon as they waved the gun in Charlotte and not had to worry about charges.

He clearly wasn't happy about the whole situation, which runs counter to what the MSM usually assumes about those of us who have the opportunity for concealed carry.

If you have to explain why it isn't... it is.

Cato Institute releases its fiscal policy score cards for America's governors
Alas, the governor of New Jersey is excluded, along with 4 others.
So is CATO a lefty outfit? Of the missing, NJ isn't there as well as my state of VA. The only other that came to mind was Alaska. Three Republican governors doing pretty well for their states. Coinkydink? Which others are missing? I'm thinking I didn't see Texas either.

CATO is a libertarian outfit. I suspect they left off States with Governors that had not been in office long.
They don't have all their facts down that good though. I note that they said "personal" mistakes by Sanford hampered his success. That is a load of crap. Those personal mistakes did not occur until near the end of his second term.
What has hampered his success in cutting spending is an FDR Republican legislature. He has vetoes just about every spending bill they had and they have overridden almost all of them. If he had real small government Republicans in there we really would have cut spending and taxes.
Instead the SOBs are looking for new ways to raise the damn sales tax.

RICHMOND - President Obama walked into the back yard of one of his chief congressional critics on Wednesday to continue his blunt assault on Republicans and their policies.
Obama has also chided members of his own party for going wobbly before the election. In an interview in Rolling Stone published this week, he told Democrats that it is time to "wake up" and pay attention to the administration's accomplishments.
At one point, responding to criticism that he hasn't done enough yet, he said, "I've only been here two years, guys. . . . I figured I needed to have something to do for the next couple of years."
At another point, he told Democrats upset at a perceived lack of progress to think of the patience of onetime slaves. "You know, the slaves sitting around a fire singing freedom songs, they weren't sure when slavery would end, but they understood it was going to end," he said.
He should go back to just reading from the teleprompter. His ad lib stuff is beyond awful

That sounds like a much better tradition than the one at my college. A guy in the rowdiest (male) dorm would throw a full jar of peanut butter at the doors to the dorm every Friday night where it would stay through the weekend until the cleaning crews returned on Monday.

I don't want to be tide down I gotta move
Hey

Stone free do what I please
Stone free to ride the breeze
Stone free, baby I can't stay

Not only is Presidentin' hard, but people are actually criticizing him and his policies (for the first time in his privileged life). Mr. Thinskin doesn't like that very much.

--Barack Obama, Lord King of the US... plus he's cute. and smart. Obama's charisma hid old, tired, failed left-wing ideas and wrapped them up in Hope and Change.

A BILL before CONGRESS
The Delivery Driver Self-Defense Act of 2011
NO person, business, company, or corporation doing business within the United States of America shall make any rule or regulation abridging the rights of legally armed employees to carry or conceal weapons in their vehicles, or on their person while on or off of company property, or to use such weapons in the defense of themselves or others, or to secure property belonging to either the individual or the company or any other person or entity.
Copy it. Paste it. Send it to your lawmakers, friends, relatives, and everyone you know.
This MUST BECOME THE LAW OF THE LAND
Sounds good to me.

The 10:10 story linked in the sidebar is beyond frightening, or sick, or any other tame way to describe it. Agree with us on global warming or you will die an immediate & bloody death.
Isn't that how terrorists operate when they have hostages? They kill one of the hostages brutally in order to get the rest to stay in line? I cannot believe this is satire, this is truly how the enviro-lunatics see the world. Do it their way or they kill you.
Back in the days of the spotted owl controversy in the pacific northwest, enviro-lunatics would drive large spikes into trees, so that when loggers tried to cut the trees down, the spike would be hit by the chainsaw and maim or kill the loggers. These are not nice people.
