— Dave in Texas Thursday is like, pre-Friday.
Couple of Senate poll things, in Missouri, Roy Blunt up 13 over Robin Carnahan in a CNN/Time poll released yesterday evening. Same poll has Angle +2 over Reid in Nevada (Rasmussen says +4). Even better, the incumbent majority leader Reid hasn't seen 50 since early Sept.
And in bloody Ohio, Quinnipiac has Rob Portman struggling to hold on to his 19 point lead over Lee Fisher.

You guys see this from yesterday evening on Insty?
US President Barack Obama is likely to arrive in India on November 5 instead of November 7 as originally scheduled. He will leave Washington DC on the night of November 4 soon after the mid-term Congressional election where many pundits are predicting severe reverses for the Democratic Party. He will be away from the US for almost 12 days, one of the longest tours during his presidency, touching India, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea, before returning to Washington DC on November 14.
Well isn't that interesting...

Since they didnÂ’t say it was unexpected, IÂ’m guessing that somebody probably knewÂ…
Look, a trillion is a big number, that million unemployed people we never counted, thatÂ’s a rounding error.
Shouldn't even give it a second thought! Concentrate on the election. (Waves hand innocently in front of your face) Change is good.

I believe this with every fiber of my being; there is a reason why there is no credible crackdown on human and drug trafficing into this country and that reason is that people in positions of power and influence are being corrupted by the dirty money that this trade generates.

Look at the words in this headline (Instapundit). Amazingly... shockingly, a few short years ago and we would have been shocked to read of the arrogant presumptuousness of the "political class" in this country:
We've become desensitized to the condition of powerlessness that we find ourselves in. We as individuals and we as a country, will be screwed. And that is the pure and simple truth.

"The big political issue here is the president promised no one would lose the coverage they've got," says Robert Laszewski, chief executive officer of consulting company Health Policy and Strategy Associates. "Here we are a month before the election, and these companies represent 1 million people who would lose the coverage they've got."
The biggest single waiver, for 351,000 people, was for the United Federation of Teachers Welfare Fund, a New York union providing coverage for city teachers. The waivers are effective for a year and were granted to insurance plans and companies that showed that employee premiums would rise or that workers would lose coverage without them, Santillo says.
BarryCare - Higher premiums and losing your current coverage. Now that's change we can believe in!!

Last night Batchelor had a guest from CA on who said Rossi's last race was stolen from him, that he won. they said even the dems are admitting this now. Anyone from CA care to fill me in, sounds like one heck of a story.
Also, Batchelor had a guest on who basically called shoo mer a choir boy, so he agrees with me. He also agrees with the stuff I wrote on here about the republicans not being able to find anyone to run against these dems who claim their seat in perpetuity. Nice to know that we here at AOSHQ are helping journalists to realize they are not alone in their thoughts and giving them the courage to write articles which real people read.

how do you get a waiver from Obamacare? will that throw a wrench into the lawsuits: cause you are not really forced into Obamacare if you can get a waiver, right? therefore Obamacare isn't really unconstitutional, right?
Aren't laws supposed to apply to everyone equally? So how is it that company A can get a waiver but company B or self-employed individual C cannot? Wouldn't these waivers now require that the government demonstrate that it is not being arbitrary or capricious in its enforcement of the healthcare law?

Batchelor used to be heard in L.A. on Sunday nights, but KFI -- in a rare burst of good sense -- took him off.
I listened to him every Sunday for quite a while when I lived there. IMO he's intelligent, for sure, but he's also a whiny little Froot Loop who seems to love smarmy gossip as much as hard news. His delivery (and that of many of the people he puts on the air) seemed vapid. The person he used as a "source" in a field where I have some expertise is not too bright, recycling pap spewed by others and drawing truly ridiculous conclusions.
The latter makes me question the validity of his other "reporters," frankly.
And his bumper music isn't "eclectic." You could hear it in any gay bar where drama-queen patrons regularly commit suicide.

I consider it a loss. I want a win, but i have resigned myself.
That said, get ready for November 2 and 3. Because the Delaware story will be the only thing covered by the news.
It will be considered a rebuke of the tea party and something or other.
I was watching 1994 election night coverage on youtube, and CNN spent about 30% of their coverage on Ted Kennedy's election win over Mitt Romney for Senate. It was the first time the house had changed parties in several decades, but they were covering Ted Kennedy's easy and expect win.
Don't expect much change from the media now. The Delaware election will be the most talked about on election night, even if the Republicans win 100 seats.
It will not be a rebuke of Obama's policies. It will be a angry electorate mad about unemployment.

Obamacare firesale: Three Catholic hospitals for sale in Pennsylvania
Mercy Hospital in Scranton is up for sale.
Those who run the place and all other Mercy facilities in our area said Wednesday they are already in talks with organizations interested in buying.
Mercy Health Partners hopes to have a buyer by the end of the year.
Officials said there are numerous reasons for the sale. One big one is the heath care reform bill signed into law this year.
[ . . . ]
"Actually we're doing well. We're ahead of budget for the year. It's more that when we look out over the landscape of health care over the next five years and the needs of these facilities, the needs of this community, we understand a different level of investment will be needed than what we can do on our own," Cook said.
They said much of that required investment is the result of the health care reform bill passed in Washington.
The CEO said it means the need for more spending and less federal reimbursements.
"Health care reform is absolutely playing a role. Was it the precipitating factor in this decision? No, but was it a factor in our planning over the next five years? Absolutely," Cook added.
-------
There's nothing like closing hospitals to improve health care.

Rule #1: Know the laws in states you're targeting. Maybe the tactic is to make you think they're too incompetent to be dangerous. Too bad for them I'd crawl over broken glass to vote against those cocksuckers.

palladino is oddly silent. no commercials that i've seen. meanwhile, cumo has a ton of anti palladino commercials painting palladino as out of control (surprise, surprise, yawn)

Great. I am not the Chicken!! Oh wait.......
Remember what Winston Wolf said; "let's not start sucking the Dems dicks just yet gentlemen". Let the line form on November 3rd.

Neat. Word vomit and vomit vomit are making their way up my esophagus.
So probably the song "Red red wine" wouldn't be appropriate here, eh?

A lot of the Catholic hospitals are going to close. Teh Catholic Church was fine when the clergy and the nuns were running the place. Now, they've let the faithful in on church finances and honestly, the faithful have made things a total mess. The more they demand that the faithful contribute and support, the fewer people attend mass and contribute, it's a mess. And they ahve their convenient excuse, "the child abuse scandals". People are also angry cause they think the Vatican takes money but then doesn't give it back. In other words the US sends the Vatican money but it doesn't go the other way. In all honesty, I've started donating to selective Catholic charities. I've lowered my contributions to my parish, diocese and catholic charities. I'm not alone, people are disgusted.

I always knock him for the same reason you always praise him. You think he swishes walks on water, and I think listening to him is torture. And not fun torture; more like being-staked-on-a-fire-ant-colony torture.
I hear and read a lot of misinformation on my field in the mainstream (that is, non-targeted) media. I have contacted many when I hear or read particularly egregious errors. The rub comes when a few have responded and wanted more details. Somehow, they don't get that, like anyone who makes a living (or tries to), I want to be paid -- just like their mistake-making writers/talkers -- for my expertise.
The only email I thought about sending to Batchelor (and didn't when KFI yanked him) was a suggestion that he simply go for the jugular and use Gloomy Sunday (a/k/a the "Hungarian Suicide Song") for his bumper music.

Not only does it describe how tens of thousands of people will see their h-c inusrance premiums rise despite the promise of the Obama Administration, it does NOT mention the ramifications of the power given to the federal government to pick and choose which business/industry/political party supporter/organization will get a waiver, and which enterprises will not. IOW, this health care law is Soft Fascism - a shakedown instrument capable of enormous damage to the liberty of all Americans.

(You'll fit right in here...)
As long as he's not using unguents in tandem with ungulates.....

He is KSFO in the Bay Area right after Mark Levin. When they added him to the lineup last spring, the first thing I said was, "Dude is a queen!"
My partner came home from work that night (he is a conservative as I am) and says to me, "Did you hear that fag they just put on KSFO after Levin today?"

O'Donnell is an easy but the media is giving her the Palin treatment and even worse. While dem reps claim there's no debt, their wives go to prison for corruption and dem senators continue to say and do moronic things they're going after O'Donnell's father.
They're just another arm of the democrats and should be viewed as such. I'm actually much more moderate than most republicans but I don't want a single democrat to win anything the next two cycles.
