Actually, the first is a statement of fact for all people (found predominately in the Proverbs of Solomon, where he says similar things almost as much as he says "wise men keep their traps shut")  The reason I say that is you can find it in non Judeo-Christian writings as well (I believe one or another of the Greek Philosophers brought up the same point a time or two, and I know there was a Roman era writing about the concept).

The laws you cited were specifically the theo-social laws of the Isrealites handed down for them specifically by God to Moses and Aaron.  God never said the Gentiles had to (or could not) do those things.

And, if you're Christian, you believe that those restrictions were also lifted when Christ died on the cross- fundamentally changing the nature of our relationship with God.
