IT'S THE WAVE:
Crowd, Candidates Recite Pledge Of Allegiance
Saying the Pledge of Allegiance is hardly controversial but it seemed so at a League of Women Voters Congressional Debate in Peters Township Tuesday night.
Democrat Dan Connolly and Republican Tim Murphy were about to begin when Murphy asked the moderator for the pledge. As the moderator hesitated, the crowd took action on its own.
The same occurred in Illinois on Oct. 20 when an audience member asked, "Are we going to say the Pledge of Allegiance?"
The moderator responded, "No we are not. That's not part of the proposal tonight."
Again, the audience overruled the moderator, standing to say the pledge.

Big News for my district in SC. A Democrat polling outfit has found the Republican challenger crushing Spratt in Sc-5.
This is the first poll I have seen for this district since early May.
Poll: Mulvaney drubbing Spratt
S.C. Sen. Mick Mulvaney leads U.S. House Budget Committee chairman John Spratt by a 49-39 percent margin, opening up a 10-point lead in a poll taken two weeks before the Nov. 2 election.
The phone survey of 499 likely voters in the 5th Congressional District on Oct. 16-19 and Oct. 21 was conducted by Penn Schoen Berland, a Washington firm that was President Bill ClintonÂ’s main polling firm and has predominantly Democratic clients. The poll had a 4.4 percentage point margin of error.
Hell, I am surprised that the local Dem PR rag even posted this story.

Landfill rule to force recycling of electronics in Myrtle Beach area
The headline is misleading though:
The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control is working on regulations now for the mandatory recycling of televisions, printers, computers and other electronic items because they will no longer be able to go to landfills.
This is statewide. The other thing I found "ironic" is that after looking at all the major papers in the area there is zero coverage of the story.
The assholes of the SC "EPA" are implementing a major new push in the bogus area of recycling and nobody is reporting it.

Go ahead, demean the office (and yourself - not that you'd ever recognize it as doing that) by appearing in media and events that cater to those only sketchily aware of what it means to behave like an adult. And since you've got two years coming up to shop yourself and your "brand" around the full suite of media offerings, you'd best use that time to get yourself as good a deal as you can, now, before you and your "brand" descend to the subterranean depths you so richly deserve, Mr. "Ready from Day One".

On both sides of the Capitol, Republicans know they face a difficult task—scarcely less daunting than Obama's own after he was elected president—in fulfilling the expectations of angry voters who are once again demanding change.
CHANGE
It isn't as if independent and nonconformist voters didn't have in mind their own expectations of what "we can believe in."
I'd dare say, even without the polls that stipulate America's majority approval of the Tea Party protests, the CHANGE that Americans believe in, the agenda PROMISED by both parties, is the abolition of government corruption.
FINALLY the American Majority realizes that more government never abated corruption, rather more government augments corruption.
Hence, the WAVE.
Democrats propagandized against the Republicans by feigning protest of the Patriot Act. Just as the Republican establishment that eschews the Tea Party movement protesting government corruption and abuse of powers feigns protest of ObamaCare. Progressives dissolve our Constitution, amassing abusive powers. As with NPR, so with ObamaCare -- we'll see the battles to play out within the Republican Party that does not currently represent let alone identify with literal Constitutional Governance.
Exactly what will this wave wash away? High expectations.

Exclusive: Democrats Ask Pentagon for Info on Potential Obama Challengers
DNC Requests Records Related to Palin, Romney, Seven Other Possible 2012 Contenders
The Democratic National Committee formally has asked the Pentagon for reams of correspondence between military agencies and nine potential Republican presidential candidates, a clear indication that Democrats are building opposition-research files on specific 2012 contenders even before the midterm elections.
An internal Army e-mail obtained by ABC News indicates that the DNC has filed Freedom of Information Act requests for "any and all records of communication" between Army departments and agencies and each of the nine Republicans -- all of whom are widely mentioned as possible challengers to President Obama.
[ . . . ]
The nine Republicans that Democrats are seeking information on are former Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska; former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass.; Gov. Haley Barbour, R-Miss.; Gov. Tim Pawlenty, R-Minn.; former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga.; Sen. John Thune, R-S.D.; Gov. Mitch Daniels, R-Ind.; Gov. Bobby Jindal, R-La.
[ . . . ]
According to the memo, the DNC's request asks for "Any and all records of communication (including but not limited to letters, written requests, reports, telephone records, electronic communication, complaints, investigations, violation and memos) between your department (and all divisions and agencies under your jurisdiction)."
The DNC also asks for copies of other Freedom of Information requests that mention the nine individuals that Democrats want information on.

Well, since this is from FOIA requests, there doesn't seem to be anything illegal about this. However, ABC is writing this like it's a scandal. You usually only get stories like this about Republicans.
Interestingly, this shows how insulated against scandal the DNC thinks it is. It's stupid. Wait until 11/3/10 to do this stuff. But they don't because they know they'll get away with it.

On the assumption that at least Rasmussen is correct, and nothing dramatic happens between now and November 2 to scare away voters, then the Democrats are headed toward a massive defeat. I wonder if there's even an historical parallel in our history. This is not just a tsunami, it's a super tsunami. Now I understand why some of the Democrats got angrier and angrier. At first, they were blaming the voters (and the DC crowd is still crowing that line) now they're pissed at Pelosi, Reid and Obama. Some of these parasites have thrown a lot of money into this race, a few even throwing in some of their own money, and it has been absolutely for naught. They followed the Gang of Three over the cliff.
I believe it was William Buckley who said, "For Republicans to win, all Democrats have to do is be Democrats."
At least, I think he's the one that said it.
Regardless, I'm loading up on pudding cups.

@3 From the HillBuzz article
This is also when most of us stopped using the term “Democratic Party”, since there’s nothing “democratic” about these people. They are the “Democrat Party”, and even that is hard to acknowledge because they really and truly have proved themselves to be enemies of real democracy.
I've said for a long time that Republicans need to consistently call them the 'Democrat' Party rather than the 'Democratic' Party...they try to leverage a psychological boost from inferring to be 'of democracy' as opposed to those evil anti-democracy Republicans.
...good article...worth a read.

I wonder how many Supreme Court Justices in Alaska were put there by Frank Murkowwsekee
None, as it happens: Two Knowles (Dem), Two Palins and one Parnell.
However, that doesn't matter. The bar selects the pool of potential justices:
"The governor of Alaska appoints a supreme court justice from a list of qualified candidates submitted by the Alaska Judicial Council. To be eligible for appointment, a person must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of Alaska for five years prior to appointment. A justice must be licensed to practice law in Alaska at the time of appointment and must have engaged in the active practice of law for eight years."
This is the so-called Missouri plan and it is blatantly unconstitutional. It makes the judicial system "one lawyer, one vote", violating small-r republicanism and the "one person, one vote" principle that forbids, say, states from having one state senator per county.

Speaking of evil, local DC radio is talking about Faruq Achmid the Va subway stop bomber.
Seriously, how many more lunatic terrorists have to come out of that Falls Church mosque (it's big and on Fridays they actually have cops stopping traffic to let the cabbies cross Rt. 7) before they get some people in there to see what is really going on?

After the election, we should start a betting pool on the number days until Obama holds an actual press conference.
I barely remember what they're like.
Based on his past number of a couple of failed press conferences, his current thin skinned arrogance and falling polls, then compounded by the creeping Nixonian paranoia he'll develop in the future after the midterms, I predict none.
