What puzzles me about it is that any real investor would touch the crap.  GM hasn't really undergone any kind of radical transformation.  They're still burdened with a union that is beligerent.  They are tying their hopes to an electric car that does not live up to expectations, and can hardly be anything other than a collosal failure.  Cadillac can't carry the whole company on its own.  They probably have most of the same middle management that helped drive them into the dirt to start with.  They still treat their suppliers like a disposable resource (that is, they exploit and often actively harm their suppliers).  What's to stop them from going under once more in a few years?  This is a purely speculative trade, as I see it - there are way better places to put your money.  I doubt they'll even pay a dividend.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit.  I'm sure the defense did everything it could to rig the jury that way - they always do.  Any sleazy lawyer worth his filthy lucre will be sure to make the attempt.  Happily the military tribunals are less prone to infiltration/subversion.  Thankfully there aren't enough Nidal Malik Hasan types in the military (yet).

LOL, I didn't have to fight those crowds. Wifey and MIL did it for me. Womens just love hitting those "sales" after Thanksgiving.

105 I wondered why everyone swallowed the premise for Saving Private Ryan, AS IF contextually plausible at all. After the opening scenes on first viewing, I was offended that the movie pimped D-Day to sell tickets for the script's cockamamie plot. 

I boycotted Pearl Habor (2001) also since it pimped Dec.7, 1941 just to sell crap. Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970) still holds out well, and doesn't contain a love story.

Saving Private Ryan and Pearl Harbor were both awful movies. Awful for different reasons but bad none the less. Pearl Harbor was just tripe from start to finish and the acting was pure torture. Ryan was such a modern take on the war. It was all cliches and the wimpy actors did not fit the time period.
