It is pretty bad. It is a bald-faced power grab by the big producers and government regulators, who want to drive every mom & pop farm stand and small producer out of the food business. Whether it survives intact and emerges from the various committees is another story. But it is an awful bit of additional regulation that we simply don't need. Of course, it's "for the children," so how can you be against it?

This is not necessarily a good thing. A lot of the Dems here switched parties years ago to give the Republicans a lead in the State legislature.  If the Republicans at the time had told them no they would have all been defeated within a few years anyway.

Instead what we got was a "Republican Legislature" that votes like Democrats and they still have the power of incumbency. 

I call them the FDR Republicans because they like to tax and spend.
