Frankly, I never noticed the sidebar. I tend to overlook all advertising on Web and in print, so I assume that anything on the flanks of what I'm reading is ads and shut it out.

They're all defensive of Manning, pulling the "Innocent until proven guilty" line, but ready to condemn the gov't as being cruel and inhumane without knowing for certain if they are.  But I'm sure these folks were all fine and dandy with McChrystal getting relieved without investigation of due process because of what a music magazine pubished.
