— Gabriel Malor G'morning.
Getting promoted out of the sidebar:
Indiana Democrat Tamyra DÂ’Ippolito told FOX and Friends that she has enough signatures to file for Bayh's old seat. Don't know if it's true or not, so if you got one of those petition forms printed and signed, you still might want to turn it in before noon.
If she has the signatures, the Democrats won't be able to pick a candidate more to their liking. D'Ippolito is so fringe, she has no chance of winning.

Found this AFP story over at Breitbart and it really signifies two things. How stupid reporters are and how they will go to great links to mislead people in the story.
Obama to announce financing for two nuclear reactors
Headline implies that Obama is going to back government financing for two new nuclear reactors.
Lead paragraph in the story:
President Barack Obama will announce on Tuesday plans for the government to help finance the construction of two nuclear reactors -- the first in nearly 30 years, a top US official said.
Note that after the headline it backs off some. Now they are going to “help finance” two new plants.
By the time you make it to the 3rd paragraph you find this:
The 18.5 billion dollars in existing loan guarantee authority will be used to help finance the construction and operation of two new nuclear reactors at a Southern Company plant in Burke, Georgia.
Loan guarantees were place in the budget in 2005 during the Bush years. They were worthless then and they are worthless now. A loan guarantee means that the government will “co-sign” your loan. This actually costs the government NOTHING unless the utility defaults on the loan, in which case the utility would go bankrupt. Then O’Bama could go in and bail them out and take over. No utility will build a 5 billion dollar plant based on a loan guarantee. The best that you can say about this is that it might help them get a lower loan rate if the actually “borrowed form a bank”. That isn’t the way utilities normally finance something like this though.
So bottom line here; Obama had nothing to do with this, it was already available, it will not help build any Nuclear Plants, and it is nothing more than a sop to try to get some of the RINOs like Graham on board with his AGW crap and tax scam.
If he was serious about nuclear power he would be pushing for legislation to stream line the licensing process and rein in the interveners and lawyers.
BTW, these two sites have been under construction for a long while. Seeing as how they had to apply and file the “notice of intent” years ago one would assume that Obama wasn’t even in that rigged election for the IL congress when they filed the first paperwork.

WASHINGTON – Facing criticism that President Barack Obama isn't connecting with the American people, the White House is infusing its communications strategy with some of the ironclad discipline and outside-the-box thinking that made the Obama presidential campaign famous — and successful.
Sensitive about talk that the president was sometimes overexposed during his first year in office, the administration now is more discriminating about how and when the president deals with media — and about whom he talks to when he does.
"We ran everything through one strategic filter — how does this help us win the election?" said White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer, who held the same title during the campaign. "Anything that didn't help us do that, we didn't do."
It's a hell of a way to govern a country.

Maybe since it's Alabama, my guess, she pleads and gets life without parole. 3 young kids and all
I hope not. She is a multiple murderer. What help could she be to her kids? They would do well to move far away and forget they ever knew her. Would Charles Manson be a role model to his kid (he has a son)? He is an embarrassment, and another pointless drain on the California tax payers. There is little justification to let her live. If your going to have a death penalty, deal death where it is deserved.

Barot was sentenced to life, with a minimum term of 30 years, for planning to plant radioactive, chemical or toxic gas bombs and pack limousines with nails and explosives in the UK and America. He admitted planning to bomb several targets including the New York Stock Exchange, the International Monetary Fund HQ, and the World Bank. Barot, who recruited other bomb plotters, was sentenced to life in prison last November. It was recommended he serve 40 years but that was cut to 30 years on appeal in May.Barot was born in India then moved to Kenya with his family. They came to England in 1973 and his banker father had to work in a factory to support them. Hindu Barot converted to Islam.

Hoosier politics took an unexpected turn Monday night when Democratic Senate candidate Tamyra dÂ’Ippolito accused the White House of conspiring with party officials to secretly draft Rep. Baron Hill to run against her.
As the only other Democrat in the field, dÂ’Ippolito became the presumptive front-runner for the Democratic nomination when Sen. Evan Bayh announced Monday that he would not seek re-election. Indiana Senate candidates must collect 4,500 signatures to appear on the ballot, including 500 from each of the stateÂ’s nine congressional districts.
As of 9:30 p.m. Monday dÂ’Ippolito told The Daily Caller she was 1,000 signatures short and had volunteers across the state planning to work through the night to accomplish the goal before the noon deadline on Tuesday.
However, dÂ’Ippolito said she was informed Monday that Hill, a blue dog who represents IndianaÂ’s 9th District in the House, already has the necessary signatures and is sitting on them until the deadline. She accused White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel. . .Posted by: looking closely at February 16, 2010 06:58 AM (YpVHs)

My spidey sense is tingling on this one. What happens if D'ippy wins? Libs aren't exactly known for fair and accurate vote tallies, and Acorn has had a hell of a cash infusion since Obama took office. If she wins the election, who's gonna say she lost? And on what grounds?

I wouldnt be so sure of an Alabama jury letting her off with life.. If this story is as I think it is, way more goodies to come out, then the sympathy will be with her kids alright. The jury will sympatheitcally decide they need a new mommy. I read this a.m. where she "methodically" shot everyone on the opposite side of the table from her. All head shots. This sounds very planned and focused to me. And I say:

In Illinois, the "wrong" democrat actually won the race for Lt. Gov., and the party somehow twisted his arms until he signed the papers & resigned. Scott Lee Cohen's paperwork was officially filed Monday Feb 15th with the Illinois Democratic Party State Central Committee. So now the democrats are taking their time to decide which "correct" democrat will appear on the ballot in November.
As Stalin said, it's not the votes that count, it's who counts the votes. I guess Mr. Cohen decided it was better to go back to the pawnshop business rather than die of an aspirin overdose (Blago's former chief of staff) or be shot in the head (Chicago's School Supt). Both were suicides of course.

Sorry Looking closely, had to post the rest it was too delicious. I love watching libtards slap fight.
She accused White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel of colluding with Hill and the Democratic party county chairs to secretly supplant her as the nominee.
She then referenced EmanuelÂ’s Jan 9 appearance at a fundraiser for Hill in Bloomington and accused the presidentÂ’s top political aide of playing kingmaker during that visit.
“Don’t you find that strange, Rahm Emanuel coming to Indiana?” she asked, adding that Emanuel was sent by the White House to “find a blue dog to put into power.”
D’Ippolito said she asked mutual friends to contact Hill repeatedly on Monday, without success. Hill’s office did not respond to a request for comment on Monday evening. If true, she called the arrangement “a setup”.
“I’m saying it’s an inside job. Indianagate instead of Watergate,” d’Ippolito said. “The White House set this up, decided who they are gonna put in office, called the Democratic county heads and told them to secretly get signatures. Bingo-bongo.”
A White House official offered a clear response to d’Ippolito’s charge: “That’s not true,” he told The Daily Caller.

Vic, if the government wanted to streamline the reactor construction they could build them on military bases.
The problem isn't so much the location as it is the ability of the intervenors to litigate over BS items and the licensing process which stresses paper over performance.. All that tied to a process that allows the beurocrats in the government to change their minds every 6 months on what they want in the design.

All of them. What difference does that make? Are public employees not allowed to sign petitions or something? I doubt there would a single one who would mind having their name published showing they supported the eventually winner of the Dem primary. Hell they want it known so they can call in the favor later.

61 Probably, but it never hurts to wish.
The blogosphere needs to keep running with the Amy Bishop story -- it will be most telling vis a vis what the big media leaves out imho. What a freaking sociopath; of course this will cause the gun grabbers to scream even louder for more gun control, but here again, the facts don't quite match up with the meme. That needs to be hammered into people's minds: all the gun control and gun free zones in the world did not stop her.
Well, it's been fun making some calls to Hoosierland...I'd really hate it if crazy Tammy actually won the Senate, but it's funny as hell watching the Dems over there sweat at the thought of such a socialist crack pot making it. I like chaos; this could be a lot more entertaining than what's going on in my state (which is just sad).

79 Yeah, right?
Long before the reformation when the monks, priests, and friars were really political appointees and the families thereof (I'm catholic btw so I'm not bashing), the Church insisted that the English govt could not try members of the clergy in civil courts. Henry II didn't like it and wanted the power to try these guys (even though it was pre magna carta and he had abuse power). Thomas Beckett agreed with the king and was installed as the Bishop of Canterbury. He switched once he was named Bishop. The rest is history. However, it appears that the criminals in Britain are once again free to rape, pillage, and plunder and the citizens have no recourse. Their history is to eventually force reform through parliment. Let's see if the watered down version of the englishman will do the same.
