Breaking news headline from Fox:
Consumer Prices Excluding Food, Energy Fall for First Time in 27 Years
Yes, we excluded two of the top three items that you spend money on and say prices are falling. Where did AP get this POS report? From the government of course.
Is there anyone (outside of the 52%) who actually believ anything these idiots say anymore?
And why does Fox post this crap uncommented?

The Obama administration, meanwhile, renewed its criticism of insurers yesterday, with Sebelius releasing a report highlighting 2009 premium increases that she said “are five to 10 times larger than the growth rate in national health expenditures.” The report also focused on 2009 profits and executive pay at U.S. insurers such as WellPoint Inc.
Let's go after those EVIL insurance executives and the money they make. But remember that Barry's buddy's on Wall Street their multi-million dollar bonuses were well earned because their savvy.

President Barack Obama is preparing to release a proposal to restart the health-care debate before a White House meeting next week as the administration signaled that insurance company practices will be a focus of the talks.

That's because food and fuel prices tend to be a lot more volatile than the other categories. It's not a part of some plot. Relax
I disagree. Oil prices are volatile, food and the rest of the energy stuff are not. Around here food and electricity are the largest expenditure and my electricity rates have not changed in 25 years.

This group was started because of Katrina (not Obama) and you have to be active or retired Military, Police or Fire to be a full member...15,000 members strong....I wish everyone who pledges an oath to the constitution would become a member...including my neighborhood cop.
WHY is Fox: O'Reiley and Beck, refusing not to acknowledge and or discuss the Birther Movement,
not covering Toni Resco Trial, incorrectly reporting and/or exaggerating conflicts in the Tea Party movement and ignoring radical Islam in America?
After all, I thought these (2) shows were commentary based and not necessarily news...
I do not understand what is so RADICAL in the Oath Keepers pledge:
Oath Keepers Pledge NOT to obey the following orders:
1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.
2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people
3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal.
4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state.
5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.
6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.
7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.
8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control."
9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.
10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

I'm sure that has nothing to do with the fact that an aging population is going to be needing more care soon and current premiums won't cover the expenditures. It's just that they're gready, heartless bastards that want kill your family and fuck your chickens.

Want a good example of how the Demoncrap PR rags slant the news?
Quit? Fired? No jobless benefits, under plan
The Senate took a big step Thursday toward hammering out an agreement to overhaul the state's troubled Employment Security Commission, settling a dispute over the conditions under which discharged workers covered by unemployment insurance may be denied benefits claims.
You have to go way into the article to find out that if you quit or are fired “for cause” you can not draw unemployment is in the current law (and has always been). You will NOT find that this is the way most States structure the law.

Heh! You can't make this crap up: "After the Bubble, Beauty is But Fleeting For Greenspan Portraits" by Lucette Lagnado.
"In the years before the 2008 financial crisis, Wall Street and Mr. Greenspan's reputation boomed in tandem, and an obscure young artist, Ms. Crowe gained notice for her distinctive oil portriats of the Fed chairman, now 83 years old. Working from photographs she found online and in newspapers and magazines, Ms. Crowe produced colorful, whimsical canvasses that highlighted Mr. Greenspan's wrinkled forehead, pursed lips, droopy ears, hand gestures and oversize glasses.
A gallery in the Hamptons that exhibited her paintings in the summer of 2005 sold everyone within a couple of days...she had a second Greenspan show in downtown Manhatten. Ms. Crowe says she produced upwards of 50 canvasses of Mr. Greenspan. All were snapped up, some for as much as $5,000 to $10,000...She painted one of the portraits on live television when Mr. Greenspan retired. It fetched $150,400 for charity in an online auction. Now the man who bought that painting, Tampa Bay area businessman Matthew Schirmer, says he keeps it under his bed.
...Schirmer paid to have 100 high quality prints made of the painting. He flew Ms. Crowe to Florida to sign them. Her painting was placed on an easel in the lobby of a Tampa area bank Mr. Schirmer helped found. Mr. Schirmer anticipated holding charity fund-raisers with the Greenspan painting as a draw.
'There was no interest,' he says. To this day, he hasn't sold any of the prints, he says 'not a single one.' The original painting could still recover some value, he says. 'I hate to tell you, but we are kind of waiting for him to pass on.'
Mr. Greenspan's office said the former Fed chief 'regrets he won't have the time to comment.'"
Here's a link to the article, it's too funny:

Birthers, while misguided, are not necessarily intrinsically insurrectionist. After all, it could be argued that we all obey unconstitutional laws, and tolerate fraudulent election results, every day - they will probably continue to do so as well. Regardless, the threat from birthers among the vets/police is a far less pressing worry than the potential for the kind of tyranny they intend to resist. I see way more threat to the constitution coming from the leftists in this administration than from any collection of birthers. Further, once Obastard is out (may he be a one termer at most!) the birther issue disappears and no longer matters in the least.

It's true. One area of life where Europe is more enlightened than us is in the consumption of alcohol during work hours. If I could swig down a fine German wheat beer, or perhaps a vodka and tonic, over lunch I'm sure my morale and productivity would improve. Obviously I don't want the fork lift driver enjoying the same privelege, but each job has its own safety requirements.

Speaking as a concerned veteran I think the Oath keepers movement is made up of those who have sworn an oath to the Constitution that governs this country. My only concern is that some may have sworn falsely.

I don't really see what it has to do with the Oath Keepers either. Is there some caveat in their Oath that explains it only applies to leaders they believe hold office illegitimately?
Posted by: Rocks at February 19, 2010 06:29 AM (Q1lie)
In dismissing the Oath Keepers as "extreme" for believing the confiscation of firearms during Katrina was unconstitutional/ illegal, O'Reilly apparently forgot about the right to self-defense.
O'R said the confiscation was justified because the NOLA government, facing looting and general chaos during the storm, had declared a "state of emergency".
So, when the government CAN'T protect your personal property and safety, that's the perfect time (and justification) for it to take away your only means to do so yourself.

Why do I feel that with Obama, everything is all about smoke, mirrors and rhetoric? (Oh, and unprofessional, irresponsible, laziness and lack of knowledge and lack of an understanding of history) From ABC news:
The new name: "Operation New Dawn."
In a February 17, 2010, memo to the Commander of Central Command, Gen. David Petraeus, Defense Secretary Robert Gates says the "requested operation name change is approved to take effect 1 September 2010, coinciding with the change of mission for U.S. forces in Iraq."
You can read the memo -- a copy of which was sent to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen –
Gates writes that by changing the name at the same time as the change of mission -- the scheduled withdrawal of U.S. combat troops -- the US is sending "a strong signal that Operation IRAQI FREEDOM has ended and our forces are operating under a new mission."
The move, Gates writes, "also presents opportunities to synchronize strategic communication initiatives, reinforce our commitment to honor the Security Agreement, and recognize our evolving relationship with the Government of Iraq."
Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell had no comment on the memo, saying it speaks for itself.
The move has met with some criticism. In a statement, Brian Wise, executive director of Military Families United said, “You cannot end a war simply by changing its name. Despite the Administration’s efforts to spin realities on the ground, their efforts do not change the situation at hand in Iraq. Operational military decisions should not be made for purposes of public relations, as the Secretary of Defense cites, but should be made in the best interests of our nation, the troops on the ground and their families back home.”
If Gates was hoping that "Operation New Dawn" would convey a new period in the US-Iraq relationship, it's not clear that was the best choice of name.
After all, Operation New Dawn was the name for the bloody and grueling 2004 battle for Fallujah.
Originally, US forces had called the fight for that city "Phantom Fury," but Iraqi leaders suggested it be called al Fajr, or New Dawn.
"It is with all pleasure that I announce to you that Operation New Dawn has been concluded," the Iraqi minister of state for national security, Qasim Dawood, said at a news conference in Baghdad in November 2004.

How about Total Bullshit?
One of the most maddening things about the left is that they think we are all stupid. They think if they slap a different label on something, they can fool us all (hello, progressive vs liberal?). They basically are trying to conceal the fact that they embrace the same tired, old, worn out ideas (dating back to Woodrow Wilson at the least, and articulated farther by FDR) that don't work, but think if they change the nomenclature, no one will notice. There is nothing new or revolutionary about them. They are the most intellectually dishonest people, and it's sad that they often get away with their lies and malfeasance.

So Tiger claimes that there is no domestic violence in the marriage. Fine, ok. So what exactly happened that morning with him laying on the street, broken windows in his car, and his wife with a golf club?
Inquiring cut-outs want to know.

I saw the "video" these idiots made. It does not in any way challenge what Romney has asserted. I'm betting that once these "rap stars" (who the hell are they again) realized that they confronted a famous person, they decided to milk it for a little free publicity.

Remember when we made fun of the folks in Detroit, lining up for $3000 checks from the govt? And the one woman, who when asked where the money was coming from, responded "Obama's stash".
Has anyone checked on this lady to see how the "Hope and Change" thing is going?

Would you rather forgo the $300 and instead vote in the next Federal primaries and/or elections? Check here.
Actually I still like my idea best. You must pay more than a minimum amount of taxes in the district for which you are voting. i.e. To vote for a nationwide office you must pay federal taxes of some minimal amount (not EIC either). The vote for a Statewide office you must pay State taxes of some minimal amount. This would go for every office all the way down to city functions.
If you are a leach on society you don't vote. Its that simple.
No more voting yourself a free ride on the backs of others.

While I recognize the need to save money, they're saving $29M by cutting out parks and historic sites after spending $200M on cash-for-baby-mamas last summer. Priorities.

I tried that once. Morale was great but the rest sucked.

You're supposed to drink one, not several. I find that one stiff drink is just enough to take the edge off a little. It smooths out that constant background noise of extraneous worry/stray thoughts.
But hey - to each his own.

They are closing Oriskany? Damn, I've been there, and had some interesting conversations with the Rangers.
And just for y'all, in the movie "Drums Along the Mohawk" Henry Fonda describes the battle to his wife. Great scene.

New York is closing all their state-run Revolutionary War historic sites. To save money.
Tose parks must be popular or they wouldn't do it. This is the way ALL the local commie government do it during down economy times. First they try to raise taxes (which NY already did). If they can't raise taxes or the tax increase isn't enough they threaten to elliminate essential services like police or fire. If they can't do that because of union pressure they elliminate popular services. The idea is to bludgeon the public into even more tex increases,
But AFTER they raise taxes and the economy eventually recovers do they ever reduce taxes when the money starts rolling in?
Hahahahaha; they find some new socialist program shithole to pour money into.

Yup - it's a universal pattern. Here in MI they're pulling that all over the place. Trying to save socialist bullshit programs by sacrificing things that have some legitimate value. It's all trickery. Police, fire, jails, roads, etc are all being cut. In the mean time the "food assistance" is at a record high, and we have the world's fattest poor poeple. Our welfare scum eat steak, and name-brand everything. Plus they sell their ample left over portion to others to cover the oh-so essential beer and cigs. Go figure.
If someone wants food assistance they should get FOOD. Not money. The rule should be thus: Come on down to the food distribution center. Wait in line in the snow for a while. Then take a bag of ramen noodles, canned beans, powdered milk and powdered eggs, and government cheese. Then go the F**K home and don't F***ING come back until next week asking for more! Further, there should be a weigh-in each visit. If they gained weight or are already obese, then they get a reduction in their allotment until they get thinner. They obviously already stocked up on nutrients and do not need to take as much from their fellow man.

-Orlando, FL
Golfing great Tiger Woods took the stage today to make a statement addressing the sex scandal that has surrounded him for the past four months. Stoic, yet at times visibly emotional, Woods read from a prepared text in a room filled with hand-picked friends.
"Let me be clear. I do not regret, nor am I sorry for having extra-marital sex with multiple women," Woods began. "However, I am sorry about the quality of the women I chose to have sex with. I am ashamed that, at times, I settled for much less than I could have, or should have. A man with my wealth and fame should have certain standards, and looking back, it is clear to me that I did not live up to them," said Woods, evidently referring to the former pancake waitress he allegedly had relations with in the back of a VW bus.
"I have begun the process of re-evaluating the criteria by which I select my mistresses, and promise to do better in the future," Woods explained. He promised "to never again let myself, nor my gender, down again." He concluded his remarks vowing that "I assure you that the next woman I have sex with that is not my wife will be much, much hotter than my wife, and if you doubt me, I will bathe in your blood before the children of Babylon."
