Yes, but for most 3rd world countries that is true. It is much easier to set up cell/satellite phones than it is a normal phone system.
And flush toilets require a sewer system which is even more expensive.

I am going to sponsor a bill mandating that all Airliners fly with high-grade Saran Wrap stretched over their engine inlet openings. This will guarantee that no ash will get inside to damage the engine.
And if the Volcano does not cease erupting immediately, I propose that we fine it severely for Crimes against Gaianity.

Ever have one of those days where your already top-heavy workload is pushed to the tipping point because people either a) won't return your phone calls/e-mails or b) just plain dropped the ball -- and because someone else doesn't have their shit together, you're going to catch the flak for it? 'Cause that's pretty much my day, every day.

Now we'll never get Nancy Pelosi to stop using the USAF as her personal shuttle service. *grump*

Headline and leade (from Fox):
Gun-Rights Advocates Open a New Front
The Wall Street Journal
Saying NRA isn't imaginative, splinter groups seek more aggressive tactic.
Selected stuff:The 4.3 million-member NRA, one of the most powerful and well-funded lobbying groups in Washington
Yes, continue that evil NRA blast at the same time you say they are losing influence.
But its strategies aren't aggressive or imaginative enough for some gun owners who want to openly carry holstered pistols in public places, or to exploit loopholes in state gun laws to purchase semi-automatic rifles.
LOL, loopholes to buy semi-auto rifles. When did these become evil and how is any law that bans them legal? I guess the Constitution is a "loophole". This continues the philosophy of the liberals who find that any law that allows something they don't like is a "loophole".

So, what you're saying is that your job is like Guam? I sympathize.

If Guam got paid chickenshit to chase down clueless salespeople and their uncooperative managers and pester them until they turn in their paperwork that was due months ago, then yeah. It's a lot like Guam.

Lemon Kitten, I seriously doubt this part:
In fact, Matthews was himself embarrassed last week when, after making Heilemann's same point, his own on-air references to the "Bush regime" surfaced.
Not a chance he was embarrassed.

27,
Yeah, embarrassment requires some knowledge of the concept of shame. I don't think Tingles possesses such knowledge.

I think Matthews knows that he is playing hardball (ha) and that lying through your teeth is just the way the game is played.
I'm just glad that the 'tubes allow so many of their lies and distortions to be spotlighted.

32,
That or he just wants to keep preaching to an ever-shrinking choir.
I wonder if Comcast will make any changes if they buy NBC?
Posted by: Land of Leakin at April 19, 2010 06:37 AM (AMYl0)
I hope they don't make any changes right away. I want these idiots to completely fail and be out of their jobs, not toning down the rhetoric slightly to appease us.
Posted by: Mama AJ, cheerful as ever at April 19, 2010 06:42 AM (XdlcF)
I'm not sure that will ever happen as long as Immelt and Co. are in charge. It may take new ownership to finally say, "You know what? You clowns suck and are killing the ratings. Get lost." *Hey, I can dream.*

So he's quietly kissing Muslim ass. That's as unexpectedly unexpected as all these unexpected rises in our unemployment rate. I guess if I were one of these Muslim groups my response would be something along the lines of if your not willing to befriend us publicly then your no friend at all.
Pretty typical of Barry and Company I guess.

Mall,
So we could get rid of Tingles, Olby, Schultz, Raphael Madcow, and Obammy in 2012? Oh, happy day! On that positive note, I think I'll get ready to hit the golf course.

I think they're all ok with lying and other deceptions in the name of jihad against the great Satan.
