Re sidebar item: Mother of 15 kids, by 3 different men, says she is entitled to have as many as she wants even though she can't support them. She also thinks you are entitled pay for them all.

 

This is the kind of thing that I reference when I say that the damn liberals have brought welfare back.  They disguise it in the manner of “doing it for the children”. They allow unlimited support based on the number of children, SCIP, food aid and an entire host of other things, all with no time limit.

 

In a sane society this woman would have been cut off after two children. After the third was born she would have been given the opportunity to be sterilized or lose all support and have the children taken from her.

 

These kinds of people are leeches on society and should not be condoned. In additon, their children will grow up to be leeches because they have seen no other life AND they see reward for being a leech.

 

As Frederick Bastiat said, when it is easier to plunder for oneÂ’s bread rather than work, then plundering will become the norm.  We reached that plateau long ago here in socialist Amerika.  We are working on communism now where they simply will take all private property.

This is the same BS argument that is advanced by the likes of Billy Gates when he claims that he needs work visas for more immigrants because there are not enough engineers here in the US.

What he really means is that there are not enough engineers here in the US who will work for what he can get away with paying somebody in India, Pakistan, or Nigeria.  On that score he's right, but there is plenty of engineering talent right here in the US- unfortunately a lot of it is working as greeters at Wal-Mart or stacking lumber at Home Depot.

Went to a family reunion in Ohio a few years back. Went to church where they played their brand new organ, 350K worth of sound. After the organist played a piece by Bach, the place erupted like a rock concert. She played an encore.

As a musician, I was verily impressed.

If we want to stop this, while accomodating our insistence that every child be fed, there is only one way.  Make surgical sterilization a precondition for welfare/social assistance.  If we don't, the outcome is inevitable.  The welfare scum will continue to breed like rats - well above replacement, while the productive reproduce below replacement.  The ed system doesn't do anything to fix them any more - so the old path of social mobility is out.  They will swamp us, eating away the stuff of our substance like locusts, until they destroy it all, eat up the seed, and doom us.  Then they will starve anyway - we prevent nothing.  We just delay the inevitable, just as we seem to do with every hard issue these days.

So I see that this civil rights person's memorial service is today.  That explains why the flags on the government buildings are at half staff in DC today- but it shouldn't.

I'm beginning to get really annoyed with this administration's political manipulation of flag etiquette.  In the past two weeks they've lowered the flag for: 1) a memorial on the anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing (while the administration seeks to portray Tea Partiers as "domestic terrorists") and now 2) in memory of some 1960's civil rights activist (while the administration seeks to tar opponents of open borders as "racists").

This kind of manipulation of our flag and all it represents is something that really pisses me off.  These people will use ANYTHING to advance their d@mn agenda. Nothing, not even our flag, is sacred.

I don't have the words to fully express my contempt for this bunch of vermin.

Milton is one of the craziest fucks ever to play baseball, which is really saying something.  The funny thing is that he usually plays well after being traded, but the countdown to meltdown is always on.  He may end up playing for more teams than Kenny Lofton did.

Cheaper Indian scientists, educated on the taxpayer dime, willing to live in a slightly less grinding poverty than their neighbor in exchange for their hard work, have more to do with it.  If they want to market drugs in the US they still have to get FDA approval.  What is also under-reported is that China has passed a law mandating that R&D facilities be moved there.  And we do nothing to retaliate.  The free-trade idea is great when there's a level playing field, but that's not what we have.  The prosperity that is our heritage/legacy as Westerners, provided by our ancestors without the slightest help from the Indians, Chinese, etc. is being shipped over seas.  Stolen and destroyed.  Those of us who think that the people making modern civilization possibe should also enjoy some of the first fruits thereof are the ones in trouble - enemy nations are doing all they can to destroy our economy and our technological edge.  They have no regard for trade laws, intellectual property rights, or the welfare of their own people.  In the end they will kill the golden goose, and fall back into the same squallor they have had before - but this time we'll be stuck down there with them until we learn to shut them out.

Seriously.  Where's the outrage?  She was a crack dealer, he's had violence and behavior issues since his teens, and he was suspended for violating NCAA regulations, but appending "whore" to the accurate description of his mother as a "crack dealer" is outrageous?  How many 19 year old female crack dealers aren't whores, anyway? 

These are not standard job interviews.  The questions asked of the other players demonstrates that.  But somehow a line was crossed with this guy because why... he's black!  It seems to me that the assumptions or questions about Dez's mother are less about racial stereotypes and more about patterns of behavior of this skanky family.

LOL @ all the flavors of the month.  I remember working at the third rate utility when a buddy of mine and I would listen to one of his underlings who bought into the TQM garbage, claiming how it "empowered" him.  We laughed and said "Fuck that shit; management is just tossing you a bone and will do whatever the hell they want when it comes time to real decison making".  Needless to say, we were proven correct.

Public schools action plan defenses.  Basically, failing schools with inept principals and staff make an improvement plan that needs to be defended in front of equally inept school administrators that like the sound of their own voice. These things were supposed to be 1.5 hours each, but the fuckers like to talk so much they last 3 hours.

I'm her because I pulled all the performance data that these school used to write the plan, but the administration is too stupid to understand. Seriously, the chair of the meeting keeps printing out the same incorrect, highly misleading data even though and asking why it doesn't match up to the stuff I gave the schools. I have repeatedly told hr that she's not using the right data sourc but she keeps doing it again and again.

110 When I started working 25yrs ago the buzz was Statistical Process Control based on Deming's work and the fact the Japanese were kicking our asses in quality. They have since taken what is a simple set of rules and buzz worded them to death. Every 6-8 yrs like clockwork a new term for SPC is generated and a new crop of consultants is enriched. This is really pissing m off. I  manage and analyze the data for over 300 schools and now I have 9 days worth of missed work screwing with this stuff.

Just looking at the reality of things, those terrific paintings didn't look nearly as good in the considerably reduced format of the modern funny-papers, half-covered by a fold-in ad page. Like an AP half-tone of a Bosch triptych.

But when my local ("One of America's Great Newspapers") dropped it, they were besieged with letters of complaint. Their ombudsman's answer? If you're a fan, it's available on-line.

I have since discovered that virtually everything that was in that paper is available on-line, so I suppose I should be thanking them for that information.
