5 On the previous thread Tami brought up just an incredible (well, totally predictable, but still mind-numbingly wrong and self-serving) quote from Michael Steele that not only accuses the GOP of racism, but simultaneously provides Barack Obama cover for any and all errors. Here's what Tami quoted from Yahoo News: Steele had already come under fire for committee spending on flights, limousines and high-end hotels, but he was not present at the Voyeur Hollywood West on Jan. 31 when a group of young Republicans ran a tab picked up by the RNC... But he also attributed his problem to "unnamed Republicans who don't like me." Steele was asked if he felt he has a smaller margin of error than others because he's black. "The honest answer is yes. It just is," the former Maryland lieutenant governor said. "Barack Obama has a slimmer margin than others." "But you take that as part of the nature of it," Steele added. "It's more because you're not somebody they know. ... Not old-boy network oriented. ... My view on politics is much more grassroots oriented ... so I tend to, you know, come at it a little bit stronger, a little bit more street-wise. That's rubbed some feathers the wrong way." Why is Steele still head of the RNC again?

7 question: Do you think the Mar 20 DC protesters should file a slander lawsuit over the fake claims they used the N word? Would a lawsuit turn undecided americans off because on one likes whiners who use the law as a weapon or would it force some media coverage of that shameful attack by McClatchy and HuffPo and shoddy fact checking of the tv networks including Fox who simply repeated the story w/o checking it out.

Myself, my Wife, my Son and his Fiance, and my Boss made the Tea Party Express rally in Little Rock this last Saturday. It was great. My sign got a 5 second full screen closeup on the local Fox 16 news.

Also, here is a good article on the Republican Party and the Tea Party movement.

18 Last night I slept in the lounge chair in the living room about 415am....wham a 5.1 out in El Centro then another 5.1 at 633am. Minimal damage at work. I work downtown next to Petco Park, building is on rollers. They did their job. Just a 7 inch crack in a beam behind my desk.

I'm just exhausted.
