But reality doesn't intrude on their world. They'll make us ride our bikes and like it, just like China.

Beck is always saying that "social justice" is just another word for "redistribution of wealth".   He has been warning people that if "social justice" appears in their church's literature that their church is fully on board with this redistribution of wealth idea.

As of this writing, a bunch of senior Democrats (many of the same ones who twisted his arm on the health care vote) are trying to talk him into running. The filing deadline in Michigan is still a month away, but veterans of that state's politics are skeptical anyone other than Stupak can hold that district in this political climate.

It is true that perceptions of a country can be formed and changed. What is unclear is how such perceptions can be changed, particularly by a four year administration. Examples of European disdain for the US are many and varied, and have surfaced during the entire history of this country. We learned that during the Civil War, opinions held by the British toward America were keenly felt and stated, and led to some active support for the Confederacy. However, these opinions were not held by all classes of the British population. That divide, coupled with economic factors such as cotton versus American wheat, as well as Federal successes, reversed an emerging official policy of intervention on behalf of the Confederacy.

That's why I don't attend my old church.  We still have youngish kids, so I feel it's my duty to give them a moral backing, but I do it in a churchapalooza way.  We visit different RC churches every week but use a 1962 Baltimore Catechism for homeschool classes in religion.
