Egypt detains airline passenger on flight from New York with luggage packed with weapons
CAIRO (AP) — Airport officials in Cairo say police have detained an American-Egyptian man who arrived on a flight from New York with several weapons in his luggage.
The officials say the man was taken into custody as he tried to pass through customs with a metal box containing two 9 mm handguns, 250 bullets, several swords, daggers and knives.
They say customs officials had been alerted after the weapons were discovered when the box was examined upon arrival Wednesday on an Egypt Air flight from New York's JFK International Airport in Cairo.

The bill would require any federal building constructed for public use to have similar toilets in women's and men's restrooms.
Would there be a better exemplar of the government in action than a move to put urinals in female restrooms?

(I think the Tebows are getting picked on because they're white. No one asked Dez Bryant's mother why she didn't abort him when she was a pregnant unmarried teenager, or why she didn't abort his siblings when she was a druggie/prostitute...no one gave Tony Dungy shit for talking about his faith except the time he went to an anti-gay-marriage forum, and then that was just a small segment of the sports media...)

A U.S. official tells ABC News the man had been recently added to a U.S. terror watch list, and as a result his U.S. visa was in the process of being revoked.
How do these radical goat herder terrorists get visas in the first place? Is anybody lookin' at that? Profiling?

The Gov of Arizona signed H.B. 2281 yesterday relating to school curriculum. The progressives including LaRaza are hit hardest. The bill does stuff like this:
A. A school district or charter school in this state shall not include in its program of instruction any courses or classes that include any of the following:
1. Promote the overthrow of the united states government.
2. Promote resentment toward a race or class of people.
3. Are designed primarily for pupils of a particular ethnic group.
4. Advocate ethnic solidarity instead of the treatment of pupils as individuals.

North Korea reports nuclear fusion success
North Korea has announced that it has made significant progress towards the development of thermo-nuclear power...But the North Koreans appear to be claiming to have gone much further, by building what they describe as a "unique thermo-nuclear reaction device".
This could also be code for the Norks claiming to now have the capability to make H-bombs, but I seriously doubt it. Their last two tests kind of fizzled.

What the hell was that audit the Fed bill about? It passed 96-0 so it had to have been almost meaningless.
That was an amendment to allow the GAO to audit the Fed's transactions in the TARP bailout. A more ominous set of amendments by David Vitter (the Ron Paul amendment) and Bernie Sanders would have opened up all Fed activities to Congressional audits.
Those died. Vitter's amendment was a rehash of Ron Paul's attempt to see if the Fed really was behind Saddam Hussein, 9/11 and Watergate.
Sanders' amendment was particularly onerous. A socialist. Calling for oversight control of the world's most influential central bank. What could have gone wrong?

I think perhaps we need to get out a rolled up newspaper and give these folks a tap to the nose, along with a sharp "No!" Either that or maybe we need to rub their noses in the crap pile they're creating and learn 'em how NOT to sh!t up the country.
I mean, REALLY. Little kids can't even have freakin' cupcakes at school in some places. When I was young, we LIVED for cupcakes at school. Even when the gross kids had a birthday and their mom brought frigging cupcakes it was almost as big a deal as Christmas (another one of those things kids can't have at school anymore). My kids loved it, their classmates loved it when we brought in goodies. Now they've trotted out Michelle O sayin' they're gonna end obesity, like it's their business whether or not I have a fat ass! Her old man can't handle unemployment or keep terrorists from getting into the country, but they're going to rid the country of fatties!
For f*&^'s sake, these libby a-holes have taken over everything else. I think these folks need to get a frigging hobby and quit trying to tell folks how to live. I can manage my own frigging bathroom breaks, Mr. President/Congressional A-hole Brigade. And while I do agree there are quite often lines to get into the ladies room, I really don't think ya'll need to bring "equality" to the world of the crapper. Jeez. What's next? Are they going to create a program whereby they "assist" males with tiny peckers so they feel like bigger men?
As silly as that sounds and as disturbing as the vision may be, I am afraid I can see ol' Leatherface, aka Nancy P., telling the country via a hyper hyped press conference that Smilin' Bob will be comin' to the rescue for the nation's limp, stumpy and girth-challenged! And the press will be right behind her, discussing how well-endowed the president must be because of his race. And don't tell me it wouldn't happen. Chris Matthews already gets a thrill up his leg when the man speaks, you and I both know he'd LOVE to brag about what a manly man Obama must be.
Wow. That really was disturbing. I think I need to go throw up....

So it's now an inalienable right to have a quickie mart within a mile of your home?
I think the town grocery store owners who were forced to fold last summer may have a valid complaint then. That was the only grocery in a 10 mile radius.

As I said when those statements in the press came out, they were bogus. Probably an effort to intimidate Karzai, and it didn't work.
Karzai went to Walter Reed yesterday and spoke about it at some length. When has Obama gone?
And, he is looking good and Obama has been put in his place.
I bet Karzai doesn't exit through the trash area, either.

A couple of things here:
1st - Dagny, for goodness sake. I was left at a private airport in the wilds of coldest Calgary because all the men ran in and out of the stall and out to the limo's after we landed. Think about it. I had to undo the belt and zipper, down the pants and undies, take care of business then reverse the process. The men just do their zippers and manipulate their members. The main time waster is the fact that women generally wash their hands. Those guys in the Calgary men's john did no such thing.
2nd - I thought the WSJ was having a sophomoric laugh on their readership with the following:
Big Name Is Left Off Of Brazil's RosterBrazilian head coach Dunga has surprisingly decided not to include former world player of the year Ronaldinho (pictured) on the Brazil squad for next month's World Cup. Ronaldinho has had a solid year for AC Milan, but there was a question about whether he could play well with midfielder Kaka.
—Matthew Futterman Printed in The Wall Street Journal, page D8
But, guess I'm the sophomoric one since subsequent research indicates Mr. Kaka is not only the best soccer player in the world, he's the highest paid. Who knew?

Okay, I want to start by saying I'm NOT a birther... and even if Barry was born elsewhere, it doesn't really matter, because the majority of America doesn't care. The guy lived here the majority of his life, he's an American.
And I know WND sometimes misses the mark by a few miles.
But this is the first time in the whole process I've said to myself, "Uh, wtf is going on here?"
If their reporting is accurate (and it appears that it is), Obama is using a SS# from conneticut issued in the late 70s. That's, uh, really really odd.

Congress to Examine Restroom Inequalities in Federal Buildings
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will hold hearings Wednesday on the "Potty Parity Act," a bill that seeks to address the shoddy restroom facilities for women in federal buildings.
The bill would require any federal building constructed for public use to have similar toilets in women's and men's restrooms.
I have never been in a building that short changed the womenÂ’s bathrooms. I have been in an industrial plant in which out in the field there were no womenÂ’s bathrooms but there were no women employees. That was many years ago and has changed now.
But I suppose this may be a good thing for them to “investigate” rather than more destructive laws to kill the economy. Of course, they will probably come back and require ALL federal buildings to have restroom facilities rebuilt and since they claim they want “equal” facilities they will have to install urinals in the women’s bathrooms.
