If he was running for office this year he would be lucky to get 2 votes in the primary that would be sure to be held. His and whoever is his current boyfriend.

On the continuing "nationalize everything" front the House passed a bill with a voice vote (meaning you can't find which Republicans sold you out) on the 9th. This from Fox:
High-energy electric pulses from the sun could surge to Earth and cripple our electrical grid for years, causing billions in damages, government officials and scientists worry.
The House is so concerned that the Energy and Commerce committee voted unanimously 47 to 0 to approve a bill allocating $100 million to protect the energy grid from this rare but potentially devastating occurrence.
The Grid Reliability and Infrastructure Defense Act, or H.R. 5026, aims "to amend the Federal Power Act to protect the bulk-power system and electric infrastructure critical to the defense of the United States against cybersecurity and other threats and vulnerabilities."
This bill allows the President to basically authorizxe taking over the electric grid and the internet if he deems it necessary. If you want to fight it in court the bill restricts you to only the D.C. court of appeals.
The justification is just as phony as Obama.
Solar flares wiping out the electrical grid - Note this is what caused the great NYC blackout of the 60s. Since then the grid has been strengthened against this and even with massive flares since then there has been no more wide spread blackouts from this cause.
Hackers taking over the grid is the other excuse. This one has been pushed by "some security experts". I always love these unnamed experts as an excuse. Based on what I know of the grid and utilities, no large utility uses the internet to control their grid or their power plants. This excuse is a bullshit lie.
But they pushed this POS power grab through with little or no fanfare under a voice vote.

NO! The scientific proof NEVER supported global warming or Gore's revisionist label "climate change" that according to Gore is not defined by the words' definition, but is defined in NEWSPEAK.
The only thing that CHANGED is the public awareness of the FRAUD, no thanks to Graham who never supported real science in his life.

Shit, fucking hackers already control the Executive branch. I figure any one of the hackers they are afraid of would do better for America than the Choker in Charge now.

The government has done absolutely nothing to prevent our annihilation given an EMP attack which is not so difficult for our enemies to perform.
And at the rate the Marxist Obama and Congress are working, erasing national borders and rule of law, one wonders when they'd either perform, endorse or passively allow the EMP against our own citizenry deemed undesirable.
Posted by: maverick muse at June 11, 2010 05:17 AM (H+LJc)
They are similar in cause and effects but EMP would be orders of magnitude greater. In addition, an EMP strike would occur along with a lot of other devastating effects making the loss of the grid not a concern.
Personally, if I am lying in a ditch with heavy petechea and blisters, hair falling out, and puking my guts out on the way to a painful death I am not going to worry if I have electricity or not.

With Revolutionaries 'Looking On,' Teachers Take Kids on a Protest Trip to Arizona
Standing in front of a wall-to-wall mural featuring a who's who of revolutionaries, including Ho Chi Minh, Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, and boldly displaying the motto Patria o Muerte, Venceremos!!! (Fatherland or Death, We Shall Overcome!!!), a group of teachers, students, parents and community activists in the Los Angeles Unified School District gathered last month for an unusual field trip — to Arizona, to protest that state's controversial immigration law.
A video posted on YouTube shows LA social studies teacher Jose Lara interviewing teachers and students on May 28 at the headquarters of an organization calling for a Mexican revolution on U.S. soil. Soon after he shot the video, many in the group left for an overnight "freedom ride" to Phoenix to protest what Lara tells the camera is a "racist and outrageous" law.
Â….Lara, who made the video, teaches at the Unified School District's Santee Education Complex with Ron Gochez, another social studies teacher who came under fire last month after he was identified making incendiary remarks in a widely circulated YouTube video that shows him speaking at a 2007 rally for La Raza, a revolutionary group calling for Mexican revolt inside the United States.
In that video, Gochez referred to Americans as "frail, racist, white people, and to California as "stolen, occupied Mexico." The video's posting led to a groundswell of anger and a flood of calls for Gochez's firing, but a school district investigation found him fit to continue teaching history to public school students.

June 11 (Bloomberg) -- Sales at U.S. retailers unexpectedly dropped in May, signaling consumers boosted savings as employment slowed and stocks fell.
Purchases decreased 1.2 percent, the biggest drop since September 2009, following a 0.6 percent April gain that was larger than previously estimated, Commerce Department figures showed today in Washington. Demand plunged at building-material stores, reflecting the end of a government appliance rebate, and sales fell at auto dealers, in contrast to industry figures which showed a gain.
It's a hell of a recovery we have going. Everything is so unexpected.

Companies reined in hiring last month, making it likely households will keep a lid on spending, which accounts for about 70 percent of the economy.
“The strength of the consumer recovery was overstated,” said David Sloan, a senior economist at 4Cast Inc. whose forecast of a 0.7 percent decline was the lowest among economists surveyed. “I don’t think things are going into a nosedive. The economy is in recovery. The outlook is still moderately positive.”

This is 'a red rag to a bull' to a lot of people who grew up in the former Soviet bloc. I was a child of 50s and 6os but not what you consider as such in the West. My parents didn't manage to get me and my siblings out of the communist sphere of influence until the late 60s. By that time, as the eldest child, I understood a lot of things that were wrong simply by eavse-dropping on my own parents. By the same token I understood what a great sacrifice they made for us kids by obliterating their own past. Try to imagine how liberating to our family was the fall of the Iron Curtain.

#91 Zuggs,
Communism is idiotic even on paper: no marriage and parenthood? If humans wanted that kind of setup they'd do it. Marxists won't even say what a communist state would look like beyond vagueness that it'll be better and there won't be any possessions.
There you have it, John Lennon and the professional feminists all rolled into one.

We don't have any anymore either. They were dismantled a long time ago in favor of much more efficient smaller MIRV'd fission weapons. The fission weapon initiators for the fusion weapons were recycled into updated fission weapons.
I would imagine the Russians scrapped theirs long ago too for the same reasons.

Posted by: Gran at June 11, 2010 06:45 AM (xmjMj)
Sure we do. All the modern weapons are some type of multi-stage device that works from fission to fusion, just not on the large scales we had in the earlier days.

Can Blago even have a fair trial?
In actual fact he would have more than a fair trial. Everyone will be bending over backwards for Blago long after he should have been strung up. But that will never happen simply because liberals have no idea how the Constitution works and the conservatives are too timid to educate them.

Yep.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki were airbursts.
Very true. But remember, it depends on what effect you want the atomic explosion to have. Want to flatten a city, then airburst. Want to cripple not only a city but possibly the entire nation, blow it up in the stratosphere.. Same device, different results.

Didn't hear it but must be Larry Grathwol. Said Ayers felt up to 25 million would need to be liquidated in america in order to bring in his brand of communism.
Look up Grathwol, there's a great Youtube video of his recollections from when he infiltrated the weather underground.
Obama and Ayers are tied at the hip. Read Prairie Fire, a 1/3 of it is about the Palestinian cause, and Obama is implementing policies right out of this treatise.
Perhaps he will implement the rest of the WU's insanity?

I empathize with your embarrassment, in view of your predicament. But that doesn't exuse your snottiness. Get used to it, you old coot. People will be cracking jokes about South Carolinians now, just like they joked about Floridians after the 2000 elections. Try to be a good sport, instead of such an uptight, old geezer.

Federal Trade Commission (FTC) leaders are attempting to distance themselves from controversial proposals published in a May 24 working paper on "reinventing" the media. The report presents a suite of options through which government could step in and supposedly rescue journalism, most notably by imposing taxes. A fee could be levied on websites such as the Drudge Report that link to the best news of the day, or a tax could be imposed on consumer electronics such as iPads, laptops and Kindles. Funds collected would be redistributed to traditional media outlets.

Check out the TACSAT article - could be a lifesaver for our guys by detecting IEDs from fucking space, and have the opposite effect for bin Laden by detecting hidden cave entrances. Enabled by a great new capability - having the ability to launch and use small satellites almost on-demand.
Then take a look at the linked PDF presentation, and see what President kicked off this initiative.
