LOL, a real scientific study was done in the U.S. way back in 1990 with similar results. IOW acid rain impact was totally debunked. The results of the study was published in all kinds of scientific journals and totally ignored by the MFM and liberals.
Congress enacted costly legislation forcing factories and utilities to spend billions on costly scrubbers. Many factories simply shutdown and moved overseas.
And it was all for NOTHING.
AGW will be the same way.

Not that I'm a big fan of the fed gov't lending money to coal plants in other countries while refusing to let more be built here, but still.

Rest in peace, Sen. Byrd....I wish solace for your family, but TERM LIMITS keeps creeping into my brain for some reason.

I am worried because they waited until the last day for the current court session to release the ruling. I suspect that Kennedy ruled with the libtards this time and the 2nd amendment will remain an exception to the "incorporation" rule.
My feeling is do them all or do none.

Evil clowns, huh? I understand that it's time to start the countdown, but are you gonna burn it down?

I'm a serious bro looking for a equally/more serious bro with fancy footwork. The idea is to tie our wrists together ala the "Beat It" video and then each JO/knife fight in a profound spiritual act of consensual hetero awesomeness. I would have done this way sooner but have little faith in humanity.
Requirements:
-access to an abandoned warehouse
-old enough/built kinda awesome
-maintains good eye contact
-general intensity
-cool moves
-shades
-leather jackets ( I had to give the one in the pic back - long story, I can tell you when we finish)
-Bedazzler
-basic knowledge of knife/sword/bat fight etiquette (I can teach you what I know if you are pretty serious about art like me)
-can lift 80 lbs
-bachelor's in something or equivalent experience
-not a narc
Whereas dudes/J-ing O are both undeniably awesome, I'm a straight bro. As in not gay. I just really love MJ and being open minded about new JO scenarios. We will basically play "Beat It" over and over again while we JO and dance, occasionally parrying/thrusting. Winner finishes the most times, but points will be awarded for finishing first/accuracy. If you're the heter-bro I'm looking for, then we can JO furiously/competitively and then just hang or whatever. I've got laser tag too. I'm pretty serious about this. As in completely serious. If you touch my junk with anything but your own I will BF you in the M. Nerds/gays need not apply. I'M NOT GAY.
P.S. - And I've gotten with hot chicks as recently as just now.

Maybe Joe Biden needs to be reminded that we tax payers pay his salary.

I refuse to say anything about the passing of Sen. (Grand Imperial Dragon) Byrd.
And to any who would say that's disrespectful, I refuse to say anything about you as well, and in the same spirit that I refuse to say anything about any other hypocrit racists mentioned in this comment.

This man is a fucking idiot.
This is the stock answer of socialists whenever their policies fail: the policy didn't fail because it's a bad policy, it failed because we didn't try hard enough yet.
And "try hard enough" means "spend enough of other peoples' money"

So if I were a serious gambler, and I'm losing money, my problem is that I'm not betting enough?
Is that what Krugman is saying?

Mornin' y'all.
Some of you may have seen the story a couple weeks ago about how pet shelters in the Gulf had a sudden increase in the number of pets being brought in, due to fishermen and such being out of work.
You'll be happy to know that the people of NW Louisiana just sent 788 pounds of supplies down there to help.

Yesterday my local rag ran a McClatchey article calling for more stimulus spending.
They're doubling down on stupid. They can't stand to see Obama's Keynesian economic policies fail.
And when the policies do fail the MSM will claim it was only because we didn't spend enough.

Dan Riehl gets it.
Regarding Dave Weigel and people on the right who consider(ed) him a friend:
I'm not an all or nothing guy when it comes to ideology. I realize political solutions involve some compromise. But I don't compromise when it comes to drawing the battle lines. And if you do, then, to some degree, I think it's fair to question whose side you're actually on when push comes to shove.
The battle for America right now is about Washington versus the rest of the country. And the beltway mentality is as powerful and insidious, as it is ultimately counter-productive to freedom. Sadly, to some extent, our conservative institutions and publications have become as corrupted as our politicians over the years.
I'm not saying they don't have good people. I assume most are that. But you can't truly be a part of this thing called DC and stand boldly athwart it yelling stop at the same time, not with the same clarity and conviction once you either become a part of it, or start striving to be - because your thinking can't help but be compromised. It's as seductive to good people, as it is empowering to the bad.
He's got a bunch of good posts. This is from the "Teachable Moment" entry.

There will be a point reached when they run out of money to spend...
Then watch out 401K, it will be "managed" by the Feds and put in a "lock box" becuase the "little people" don't understand "Finance" like the Harvard grad.

Well unfortunately, they are expected to last longer than expected (or necessary, for that matter).

I sure hope the Republicans understand that if they participate in ANY of that after November, their ass will be grass come 2012.
The GOP needs to flatly call ALL future Obama budget/tax proposals "dead on arrival" and get on with the businesses of undoing the non-"Stimulus" and Obamacare. While at it, dismantle the Departments of Energy, Education, and Veteran's Affairs (just make them the VA again).
