So what's the big announcement the Prez is going to make today about Immigration? Anyone care to guess?

3 In the land of the pigs, the butcher is king.

Here's that word again, "unexpectedly".

New U.S. unemployment claims rise unexpectedly last week as employers lay off more workers

It shouldn't be "unexpected".  It's cause and effect - employers lay off more workers than they add, unemployment claims rise.

4 Senate Judiciary committee

12 Dems

7 Republicans

(How did the Dems get a 2-1 advantage?)

last day of the kagan Kabuki theater farce.

If you look at the committee makeup you see that the Dems have ALL hard core far left liberals. Snarlin Arlin is the most conservative Dem on their committee.

The 7 Republicans are ALL RINOs except 1.

Is there any doubt on how this is going to play out?  This is a question all Repubs need to be asking the Party bosses on those requests for donations. Why is the judicial committee made up of almost all RINOs?

Yeah, the administration's UNDENIABLE, DEMONSTRABLE, CATASTROPHIC FAILURE TO CLEAN UP THE FRIGGIN' OIL. The GOP leadership had obviously decided to let Bambi off the hook for his criminal negligence. Anyone listen to Barry's "Summer of Recovery" tour speech in the land of 14% unemployment?

He still has a lot of people snowed obviously and the lies just keep getting bigger and bigger.   I think the telepromter needs recalibrated because it sure isn't keeping track of the lies he and his pixies have told even as late as last week.

"It isn't about big government!  It is about responsible government."

Yeah, like the government that won't allow foreign ships in to help with the oil spill, or the one that promised that unemployment would not go over 8.7%, or the one that has quadruppled the deficit and doubled the debt - that responsible government.

American people really need to wake the hell up.

31 Re sidebar story about the "ant tribes" in China.

The story references a college graduate in China who is living in a tiny apartment with two other guys due to low wages and high rent/home prices. (i.e. functional poverty).

He bemoans living in squalor with cigarette butts and trash in the floor. This is one thing I could never understand at all. Being poor doesn't mean that you have to live in filth.

We have much the same phenomena over here and I could never understand it. I used to have one theory that the laziness inherent in causing most people to be poor also contributes to this, but I don't see how it holds up in this example.

34 It has been nearly six months since we made American history, electing Scott Brown U.S. Senator - stealing the Kennedy seat! And it has been nearly 100 years since we had in America a Senator this candid, accessible, genuine  and straightforward. These would be considerable consolations even if our new Senator was doing what we liked part of the time; but this Senator is doing Everything we elected him to do: principally,  Stop Spending Your/Children's Money....stop bankrupting the USA. After 25 years in national politics/media, I can certainly observe that keeping campaign promises - most especially when it involves saying No - is hard. It takes commitment, genuineness, courage. Scott Brown is exhibiting them all. Thrust into a culture of massive spending, where the Liberal old boys club (including way too many "Republicans") where "gimme, gimme, gimme" and "bringing home the bacon", a la Teddy Kennedy, is the coin of the realm, it is tremendously tempting to keep on doling out the goodies and heaping on the debt. But this young new Senator has kept the faith - yours. What did he do for us lately? Consider the last 10 days: (1) Scott Brown introduced legislation that will force big oil companies to prove they can stop an oil well spill before the get permission to drill one - and in so doing forced Democrats to support his idea. (2) Senator Brown wisely - and toughly - leveraged his single vote to stop more massive spending (unfunded social programs) and taxes (a new, onerous $19Billion pass-on-to-consumers, anti-business back tax) - again forcing Democrats to drop both! (3) And your new Senator circled back and today introduced a bill to extend those unemployment benefits - but, this time, paid for out of other wasteful program budgets (i.e. No New Spending,Taxes). Not bad for the new boy, huh? And with Scott Brown, this work ethic and fiscal responsibility is not the exception, but the rule. Although Senator Brown doesn't bend over backward to claim the Tea Movement, we nevertheless claim him. Our votes made a big difference. And now, after less than 6 months, he is making a big difference - a game-changer. This Senator will do more than Kennedy - because he uses his office to make the government answer to you - not the other way around. There will be times when I expect we shall be dismayed by something the Senator does. (Personally, I am still waiting.) But I am already certain we shall never regret the fight we put up for the candidate Scott Brown, because the Senator Scott Brown is surely fighting the system, fighting for us. Go, Scott, Go.

July 1 (Bloomberg) -- Manufacturing growth from China to the euro-region slowed in June, suggesting the global export-led recovery is losing strength.

In China, manufacturing growth slowed more than economists forecast, and a gauge of factory output in the 16-member euro region weakened for a second month, two surveys showed. The U.S. Institute for Supply ManagementÂ’s manufacturing index due today probably also declined, according to the median forecast of 79 economists in a Bloomberg News survey.

The recovery is losing strength. That's a pity because it was just humming along for so long.

Yeah, we haven't seen nothing yet either.  The tax on medical devices is going to absolutely screw us all.  A couple of weeks ago, I was helping with a pacemaker insertion at work.  I asked the rep how the tax was going to affect his company.  He said that they were going to get totally killed and that it was going to "stifle innovation and advanced technology."

Funny, but the tax on tans excludes spray on tans.  You know who utilizes a lot of spray on tans?  Movie stars and celebutards.  You can't say that Obama isn't looking out for his base.

I'm sure he'll be rewarded by all the other America hating countries for his fealty and loyal service for a job well done.  I can see them rewarding him with Sec. General of the UN.  I'm sure he'd want to change the name, though.  The word "Secretary" has a sexist, oppressed class conotation that is beneath his station and stature and the word "General" rings of scary military oppression.  Maybe King of the UN?  It would actually be the perfect job for him.  No real responsibility, no real power or authority.  He gets to continue leeching off of and spending other people's money and gets to attend all kinds of meetings, soirees, and social events.

Oh, and he'll also pen his next insightful yet scintillating best selling novel/memoirs.  Book three of The Trilogy, "The Audacity of Dreams:  Hope in the Age of Obama".  The opening sentence:  "When I took the Oath of Office on January whatever 2009, I was unaware of just how devastating the carnage George Bush left in his wake."

He also challenged Republicans to work with him on fixing the decades old problem of immigration. Now it's up to the GOP to either work with the president on his vision or remain, as observers note, the party of obstruction. Either way, the president's bold approach to this problem is sure to win him widespread support from Americans concerned about the present state of immigration.

Obama doesn't seem to care about reelection for him or his partners in crime. That just makes you wonder what kind of plans he has.

Funny thing is, I don't think he really has one.  I know, a lot of folks are seeing some big conspiracy thing here and thinking Obama has some grand master scheme in all of this, but after looking over everything he's done so far, and the way he's done it, I honestly don't think that's the case.

I don't see Obama as some hyper intelligent mastermind - far from it.  In fact the more I see the more I realize there is no conspiracy, no grand master scheme.  What we are dealing with here is more of a keystone cops approach to governance.  It isn't Machiavellian, it's Marx brothers.

Ok, lets be honest here, Obama never had any manner of conservative support, nor has he ever deserved any.  But he was, at least at one point, popular enough with "moderates" or "independents" to get himself elected.

Exhibit A, ObamaCare.  The health care bill pretty much killed his support among the "independent" voting bloc, not only for the bill itself but for the way in which they rammed it through Congress.  Not exactly smart politics, in fact from a political standpoint it was a total disaster for him and for the Democratic party.

Riding a new tide of plunging poll numbers, we come to exhibit B.  The Gulf Oil spill.  Ok, now some would say that Obama is letting the spill go on and on so he can use the crisis to push his drilling moratorium and his cap and trade legislation.  There's no doubt he wants both, in just the worst way.

But if he'd gotten a handle on this by Day 15, or even Day 30, odds are good he could have won back a lot of the independent voting bloc and kept support among a lot of his liberal base, and still had the spill to point to and say, "Hey, see what happens when you let evil men drill for oil!" and he probably could have gotten his legislative agenda plus reversed his plunging poll numbers.

As it is, the independents are gone now probably for good and even his liberal base is rapidly eroding and losing confidence in his ability to govern, because they are beginning to realize that their dear leader is simply ill equipped to deal with this problem.

In point of fact Obama is ill equipped to deal with any sort of problem, and despite the MSM's best efforts, the truth is starting to show through, and the worst effects of his policy changes so far really won't even hit us until next year.

So why does he persist?  Why does he keep pushing for more and more government take over, more liberal, socialist policies?  Because Obama is a believer, a true believer.  The thing you have to understand here is that Obama's liberalism isn't a political view point, there is no pragmatism to it whatsoever.  To Obama, and so many of his ilk, this is a religion.  A religion that tolerates no blasphemy, no infidels, no heresy of any kind.

You see to Obama, Oil Companies, Banks, Wall Street - these folks are all evil.  They deserve to be punished.  Unions, organizations like ACORN, etc.. these are the forces of Light and goodness.  These are the righteous, and they deserve to be rewarded.  He will punish the evil doers, and reward the righteous.

If you are among the righteous then you can see this clearly.  You know that Obama is good and just, that what he is doing is right and fair.  If you criticize or second guess him, well then obviously your an evil doer - someone who is corrupt and deserving of punishment.

To a guy like Obama, the world is in bad shape because we have too many evil doers, and not enough righteous people like himself.  Obama honestly does what he does because he believes that this is what makes him a good person.  His whole life if he espoused the liberal view he was rewarded, with praise, with grades, with promotions and positions of power.  Make no mistake, this is who Obama really is.

In Obama's world you don't dare question the liberal orthodoxy, to commit such heresy means you've obviously been corrupted.  Obama doesn't view what he does as being corrupt, because in the liberal orthodox view the ends always justify the means.  They can do whatever they wish, because their "goal" is just and they view those of us who don't travel in their circles as inferior.  It is their belief that we are simply to unsophisticated, to uneducated, to dense to grasp the subtle nuance of their overwhelming goodness.  They seriously think that we need them to protect us from ourselves.

No, I'm sorry to say I honestly don't think there is a conspiracy, some grand scheme carefully engineered and orchestrated.  I honestly think that this is the work of a blind, childish, narcissistic incompetent who is simply to blinded by his own faith in a philosophy that has failed miserably everywhere it's ever been implemented.

Personally I'd be happier if there was a grand, carefully thought out conspiracy behind it all.  At least then they'd most likely stop before they pushed the whole world to the point of economic collapse.  As it is I'm afraid were up on the high wire here, without a net, and the guy below us on the unicycle isn't a practice professional trying to give the crowd a few thrills by acting like he's losing control.  The guy below us never had control in the first place.

And the only thing down there to break our inevitable fall is solid concrete.

Where's the next technical support floor for the Dow?

I actually just got out of stocks almost completely last week.  Obama makes it possible for me to time the market.

Yes we can!

Well, if Bush didn't want his job, then shouldn't it have been filled by an illegal in the first place?  I mean aren't that's what they for, jobs American's don't want?

"Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) says in a forthcoming article that the tea party movement is “unsustainable” and will “die out” because it lacks vision."

Jebus, just how out of touch is the GOP? Pretty fucking out there if this is what's coming out.

168 For all Comrade Zero's incompetent, sniveling stupidity, this racist gangster's  Muslump, anti-Semitic, black-power, socialist fanaticism makes me wonder if he believes he can get away with declaring a national emergency in 2012, canceling the  presidential election, and ruling by fiat.  That would, of course, explain why he obviously doesn't care what the American people think: we don't matter, and no one will ever hold him accountable for his treasonous subversions.  For fascists like Bumba, "power grows out the barrel of a gun."  He forgets one important thing.

174 Manufacturers of childrens shoes need to be particularly careful about their design and production remits. This is because the shoes that people wear in childhood affect the well-being of feet in adulthood. A child that consistently wears ill-fitting shoes, will find, as they grow older, that they may experience many problems. Problems that can arise from wearing shoes that do not offer sufficient protection as a child includes: corns, bunions, in growing toenails, back-pain, and strange gait. Placing undue pressure on one area of the foot apparent in adults when looking at the tread of a shoe, some areas of the sole appear more worn than the equivalent area on the other foot frequently results from ill-fitting shoes in childhood! A decent manufacturer of childrens footwear understands these issues and endeavours to create the perfect fitting shoes. Nike Marathon Running Shoes(men) Air Jordan 1 Lelli Kelly is one such manufacturer, and their shoes provide much more by way of foot health, than simply a good fit. They are extremely innovative in their designs, both the outward appearance and the inherent internal structure. For instance, they use a particular insole that has been proven to absorb perspiration, these soles have a gel core which acts to retain moisture, keeping it away from the rest of the shoe (thus ensuring that shoes are long lasting), and more essentially, away from the childs feet. The moisture captured by the gel, slowly evaporates through strategically placed holes, then, once the child removes the shoe at the end of the day, the moisture dissipates entirely.
