6 That's right Michelle, I'm getting involved and informed for November.  Thanks for the protip!

7 Don't worry Michelle, Barry has turned me and hopefully countless others into very informed and very involved (especially on 11-2-10) constituents.  You two better buckle your seatbelts!

8 You can't unknow what you know...

Who would have imagined when Michelle said this that what she really meant was Obama would never stop letting us know just how stupid he is and get back to hoping he is highly intelligent.

News items such as this may well result in one of two things: some media outlets pull back from the precipice and at least pretend to be impartial. Others will go all out, full Biden, in the hope of gevernment bailouts, or individual employment. This last one is most likely.

Some of you think we're gaining ground on the Mohammedan Mouthpiece? Not as long as he can get away with a treasonous stunt like this.

Add this to the long list of impeachable offenses Osama Obama would face if Congress -- and the public, including squish conservatives -- had the balls to treat him like the corrupt, America-hating goon he is and not keep giving him free passes based on some twisted notion of "comity." And race-guilt.

Legal Insurrection has lots of funny quotes from liberals who are smarter than us:

The point is that (a) the teabaggers donÂ’t actually have a cause, just a lot of resentments; and (2) [sic] their slogans and symbols are displays of tribal dominance only.

(emphasis mine, "sic" from L.I.)

47 #38 That thread won't likely survive there, thankfully. EE is nuttier than my shits after eating six planters cans but Neil Stevens has been on a tear destroying posts and banning posters who demand conservatives "sit out or support a purer/better/etc alternative". He attacked one person just for pumping up Ron Johnson's pathetic, broke primary opponent by claiming RJ wasn't "a true conservative" (the most nauseating line I have heard repeated infinity times this cycle)

This. These idiots have been trying to create the Eurotopia that our betters have beeen selling for years. I heard this litany when I was in college (mid '80s). During all that time, they ignored the fact that these countries are demographically unsustainable, living for the present and weak, relying on the US for their defense. The irony is that at least some are trying to reverse course, while others are already tottering (Greece). Meanwhile, they blindly press on with the 'ideals' that have been tired and found wanting.

P.S. I have lojack. Don't even try.

50 There could be a 'tea party' congressman from Massachusetts this election. From the Killing Fields to the Tea Party "After years in a Thai refugee camp, in 1986 Mr. Meas was brought to the United States by the aid organization Catholic Charities. He spent months watching "General Hospital" and "All My Children" to improve his vocabulary. Twenty-five years later—after stints as a shoe-shine boy, a grocery-bagger, and a financial adviser—Mr. Meas is learning the craft of politics. "Health care should not be in the realm of government," he tells me in carefully accented English at a Cambodian restaurant where he is something of a celebrity. America is "on a slow path towards socialism." And "we need to get government out of managing people's lives."" "Mr. Meas, who describes this country as "heaven on Earth," is running in Massachusetts' fifth district, currently represented by Democrat Niki Tsongas. Of the four Republicans competing to run against her, only Mr. Meas and Jon Golnik have garnered significant media attention. Mr. Golnik, a moderate Republican from Carlisle whose media team includes veterans of Sen. Scott Brown's campaign, is widely expected to prevail in the Sept. 14 primary. Mr. Meas is hobbled by an almost total absence of campaign money, an inexperienced campaign staff, and the difficulty of being a self-described "social conservative" in a liberal state." "Mr. Meas prefers to identify as a Reagan Republican. Unlike the countless other Reagan votaries in the party, Mr. Meas offers a convincing claim that the 40th president was quite literally his personal savior. "I owe my life to him; he allowed me to come here and he fought Communism," he says."

51 "by claiming RJ wasn't "a true conservative" (the most nauseating line I have heard repeated infinity times this cycle)" I have a fear that that is going to be the sum total of the Republican primary campaign. For the first time in a long time everyone is running to the Right. "We" have decades worth of purity tests to apply to them all. Of course, some regions demand different "purities" and our nominee has to try and please them all. Means we'll probably end up with the candidate who has the best attack ads and slogan design.

"...someone like a Mr. Beck..."

54 #57 Thankfully there are only a few states left with primaries. Despite everyones hatred for Castle, I think he walks in the primary, and he SHOULD. O'Donnell is no Miller. She's not even as ethical as Waters or Trafficant. I think that there are still some key races that are winnable with the right strong candidates. That doesn't always mean the most moderate or the most conservative. Just the strongest position to deliver their local blow to Marxism in the district.
