It's too Close to Call in Delaware:
It looks like thereÂ’s a real possibility of a major upset in the Delaware Senate primary on Tuesday night, with insurgent conservative Christine OÂ’Donnell leading longtime Congressman and Governor Mike Castle 47-44. That 3 point lead is well within the pollÂ’s margin of error.
If Castle is indeed defeated Tuesday night it will be yet another sign that conservatives have a strangle hold on the Republican Party and moderates may or may not be welcome anymore. Castle has an overwhelming 69-21 lead with moderate voters but they only make up 33% of the likely primary electorate. OÂ’Donnell has a 62-31 lead with conservatives thatÂ’s more than enough to propel her to the overall lead.

From NPR this is the kind of liberal propaganda horseshit our tax money is paying for.
Border Patrol Program Raises Due Process Concerns
This is the first in a three-part series that takes an in-depth look at a little-known program that is pushing the boundaries of the American justice system along the U.S.-Mexico border: Operation Streamline.
Operation Streamline is an initiative that takes immigrants caught entering the United States illegally and pushes them through the federal courts at unheard of speeds. They are often arraigned, counseled, plead and convicted in a matter of hours.
Poor widdle “immigrants” get rapid justice. Hey douche-nozzle, if they enter illegally they are by definition NOT “immigrants”.
These illegal immigrants are coming for jobs or to reunite with family — and have no other criminal background. Immigrants in these circumstances used to be returned voluntarily or they went through the normal administrative deportation process. Now, they leave as convicted federal criminals.
Poor widdle “immigrants” are now convicted criminals! Wow, could that be because they ARE breaking a federal law and they ARE freaking criminals you ignorant shit. Yes, a federal law that was passed as part of the last amnesty program. Do you remember back that far you idiot? That was supposed to be give the one’s here amnesty and get them into the system and at the same time close the border and that will eliminate the problem. That was the ONLY way it passed and signed by RR.
Only problem, it has never been enforced and you liberal Dem douche-nozzles are all trying to feed us the same lies now, this time doing it with my tax dollars. Read the whole thing and remember, only part 1. It will make you puke.
NPR zero budget should be day 6 of the Republican House.

I swear I've seen too much crap going on with people being too impassioned about a race from a small state all for some "greedy" feeling of needing to get 51 seats. Have we ever thought that maybe we shouldn't take the Senate? It might be good for us in the long run, especially with the economy continuing it's downward spiral.
Barack Obama is the liberal version of Herbert Hoover. We got the conservative version of FDR coming, if that is the case.

Ground Zero Mosque associate says 9-11 was an inside job.
"The prime factor for the success of the criminal mission known as 9/11 did not come from the quarter known as 'militant Islam,' although the phenomenon known as 'militant Islamic networks' may have played a partial role, or even a less than partial role -- perhaps the role of patsy and scapegoat," he wrote in documents uncovered by the Investigative Project on Terrorism. If you are dumb enough to think hiking on the Iraq/Iran border is a good idea.....you get whatever you get.
I seriously doubt they were "hiking". I'm sure they were anti-war activists who were hoping to get some sort of dope on our troops, etc. You know those idiots have been saturated in US evil, CIA plot crap, and thought they would go investigate. The mere idea that they were "hiking" is so ridiculous on it's face that you know they had to be doing something else much more sinister. I don't thinkt they were spying on Iran, they were most likely spying on the US.

I thought Iran was releasing the chick. Honestly, these guys weren't that young (late 20s I think). I think ideologically, they were liberal America haters. I think they deliberately crossed over into Iran in order to open up a dialogue with the Iranians. I think they were expecting to share their anti-American views with the Iranian government, and that they were shocked by their arrest and incarceration. If you look at their websites, you can see they were all a bunch of moonbats.

Black kidney patients less likely than whites to get transplants
Browne, an assistant professor in the University of South Carolina’s College of Social Work, has conducted a research project that shows black South Carolinians are far more likely than other residents to need a kidney transplant — and far less likely to get one.
We are now "red-lining" kidneys people. I guess we now need a CRA law for kidneys.
Just think of the long term possibilities. We will get a national kidney bubble, then a kidney collapse and followed by worldwide collapse of the kidney banks.
Organ replacement organizations will require bailout and massive taxpayer support.
Oh the humanity, the humanity.

Senate to open impeachment trial against judge
WASHINGTON — The Senate on Monday opens its first impeachment trial since the 1999 case against former President Bill Clinton when it takes up a host of corruption allegations against a Louisiana judge.
The House voted unanimously in March to impeach U.S. District Judge G. Thomas Porteous, approving four charges involving payoffs, kickbacks and lying under oath. A two-thirds vote is needed in the Senate to convict him.
Wonder why we haven't heard about it from the MFM. Also, no party mention in the story (hint hint)

I disagree. I think it is very possible that he could cost us the 2012 election if he decided to run as an independent. He probably wouldn't get Ross Perot numbers, but he might get the numbers Anderson got in 1980 which helped Reagan beat Carter or Nader type numbers.

"The takeaway? If you're trying to get a message to go viral, your success rate will surely be higher if you can somehow tie-in the Biebs.
So thatÂ’s just what Campus Progress, the college spinoff of the Center for American Progress, decided to do to get people to vote in the midterms.
The organization is highlighting a submission to its VoteAgain2010 video contest that argues, while Bieber can't vote in our midterms (he's both too young and too Canadian), shouldn't you?"
Because so many pre-teens care about voting enough to bug mommy, daddy, gramma, etc., ya know...

ESPN has been extolling the virtues of McNabb and Michael Vick all day. Apparently they are MVPs now after one lackluster game.
I actually thought Vick had a hell of a game once they turned him loose. Look at his rushing(103) and passing(176) yards for about half the game.
McNabb, on the other hand, was under 50% completion percentage and seemed a little lost at key points in the contest. And why are we talking about these two particular QBs, ESPN? What in the world do they have in common?

I agree. Vick looked very good yesterday, and I am someone who didn't like him in Atlanta.
He is obviously overrated still, but he looks more mature and is more focused on throwing good passes. If I were the eagles I would be starting him.
McNabb didn't look great, but then again the receiving corps in Washington is pretty weak.

Plus Obama needs "an accomplishment"--as his poll numbers are in the toilet right now. They may have. I put nothing past the Eagles. My point is that he's done nothing, and the MSM - mainstream spors media - starts sucking him off. Same thing with McNabb. For people like Chrissy Berman, the Eagles are always above reproach - especially when it comes to a black QB.

RE: Kidney transplants. Like AmishDude indicated in 117, I'd wager that a lot of kidney transplants (and liver transplants, and bone marrow transplants, etc) come from family members willing to undergo the operation for their loved one. If that happens more frequently in some racial or ethnic groups than others, oh well. If the need for kidney transplant surgery is so great in the black community, the question should be about what factors are leading to the need for so many transplants rather than a witch hunt to find out why there aren't enough kidneys to go around.
It's terrible when anyone who needs a transplant isn't able to receive one, but to immediately assume that it's due to some kind of racial bias is about as stupid as it gets.

A note about Bloomberg's electoral pull: In the spring of 2008, I had a class where all we did was follow the presidential race. I thought Obama should have taken Bloomberg as his second to shore up the Jew vote and money, and to balance the ticket ideologically (hardcore socialist versus mere statist). I still think it would have been at least as good a play as picking Biden.

Vic,
I think he could cost us New Hampshire, maybe an electoral vote in Maine that would be in play. That may not seem like a lot, but in 2012 every electoral vote will be crucial.
Bush won NH in 2000, but it went dem in 2004 and 2008. Maine splits their votes up if i am not mistaken, and the republicans have a shot at one electoral vote.
That's 5 electoral votes.
Also, we have no idea how he would do in states like PA, Michigan, Ohio, and other rust belt areas.
We have a decent amount of country club republicans here who secretly loathe us. it might peel off enough to make a difference.
also keep in mind, he owns a media empire, so he would be able to change the media coverage of the campaign and certain issues.
I honestly believe a Bloomberg run would do a lot more damage to us than to the dems.

Pretty sure the media is hyping the whole Vick/McNabb thing because Vick went into Philly just as McNabb was traded out. It makes sense that they'd want to highlight the fortunes of both teams now that this particular sea change has happened, although it would have been a non-story if Vick hadn't gone into the game when he did. At best we would have gotten, "McNabb and Kolb both sucked, and now for other news..."
That said, ESPN, et al? You can talk about someone else now. Like Peyton & Co. getting beaten by the Texans. That was a bit of a shocker, eh? Or I wouldn't mind reveling in my New England Patriots beating the Bengals. Anything that makes T.O. and Ocho-friggin'-cinco unhappy is joy and harmony to me. McNabb is a very emotional guy. That's why the best game of his life was one in which he was injured. And of course, he was never as talented as he was made out to be. But every season the Eagles had a critical game that required McNabb to win it for them, he couldn't deliver.
Marino never won the Super Bowl, but there were many seasons where he won games for a mediocre team "by himself."

Poor Barry and Moochelle, burning the candle at both ends! From Drudge:
President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have a packed social schedule this week, with two major galas and a reception for college athletes.
On Monday evening, the president will welcome collegiate star athletes to the White House for a reception at 5:45 p.m. The annual event, first held by former President George W. Bush, recognizes outstanding student athletes in more than a dozen sports, including field-hockey, lacrosse, and volleyball. Neither of Obama's alma maters, Columbia University and Harvard University, made the grade.
On Wednesday the First Couple will don black tie for the annual Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute gala, one of the more entertaining political galas of the Washington fall season. A number of entertainers are being honored with awards, including Eva Longoria Parker, five-time Grammy winner Arturo Sandoval, and musician Sheila E. Also participating in the festivities will be Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Hopefully the Obamas get some rest Thursday or Friday, because they will be back in formalwear on Saturday night for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's (CBCF) annual Phoenix Awards dinner. The dinner will mark the culmination of the foundation's 40th Annual Legislative Conference.
Gosh, I hope they can rest up on Wednesday between their regular cocktail hour and the big Black Tie event. Of course the author of this article had to point out that George Bush instituted the one reception. And remember, it wasn't too long ago that the Obamas were one paycheck away from being homeless as they struggled to pay off their credit card each month, just like the rest of us poor schlubs.

Speaking as a NH resident, we are falling to the steady encroachment of Massachusetts libs, Maine socialists, and Vermont commies. We would dearly welcome ANY strong Republican candidate who actually stood for a darn thing and who we could really rally behind. I think the rest of the country would be surprised at how much red is still left in my little blue state.
The problem, of course, is the quality of the candidates. If there's not a decent candidate a lot of GOPers and conservatives won't even bother to turn out at the polls because what's the use? At least that's the thinking. It's the same prevailing problem that's been affecting the whole country for years, but it's become more pronounced here in NH because the deterioration has happened so quickly. Give us a candidate with strong principles and we'll be there. Unfortunately, looking at the early contenders for the GOP presidential nod -- Romney, Gingrich, friggin' Bloomberg -- that doesn't look like it's going to happen. I love Sarah Palin, but I honestly think she's better out there in the blogosphere and at conventions, saying the things that need to be said without having to couch everything in political speech. I'd support her if she ran for office, but I really prefer her as the "kingmaker" she's become.

Herr, I have a Babylock Denim Pro that I absolutely love. It's easy to use and it can sew through Denim and heavy fabrics like butter. I actually have no business owning such a nice machine since I rarely sew and don't do it well, but it is due to the largesse of my husband who wanted to get me something really nice. Herr has it right. Thinking any girl will "make her own prom dress" in today's environment is foolish.

Anybody know a damned thing about sewing machines? My daughter wants one and I don't know shit from apple butter about them. Anybody know a simple one that is sturdy and would be good for a kid starting out?
~Herr Morgenholz
Singer makes the best sewing machines. Get at least a 4 thread Surger. Surgers can usually penetrate several thicknesses of denim(I used to have a Singe 6 thread surger that could go through 12 layers of denim) and the 4 thread part gives the seams a lock stitch finish like you get in a store bought garment plus trims off the excess as the seam is being sewn and locked. Also good for sewing military style webbing and webbing straps into garments or backpacks or apolstery.
Best place to shop for tools or sewing machines is at pawn shops, especially in these days we live in.

Herr has it right. Thinking any girl will "make her own prom dress" in today's environment is foolish.
The prom racket has exploded as bad as the "wedding racket". Girls now expect dresses in the several hundred dollar category, if not thousands. Poor schmuck guys are expected now not only to shell out for a tux and flowers, but also for a limo and an expensive restaurant.
Nope, not with project Runway out there and many going off to art and design school.... I know of several girls who made their dresses. One local business had all the 'prom' dresses on display last year that different student's made. Granted, they were a bit 'Lady Gaga out there' but amazingly creative.

Black kidney patients less likely than whites to get transplants.
Fact is that there is a much better chance of a successful transplant if the organ is from a family member; next best is same ethnic background. Third choice is cadaver from same ethnic background. Longest shot is cadaver, different ethnicity. Sad fact: blacks are too mistrustful of modern medicine and these facts to donate organs. A real criminal fact is that there are a large amount of blacks in desperate need of bone marrow transplants, which does not involve giving up any organs, and it is difficult to get blacks to even do a cheek swab to see if they are a potential match. The NIH has excellent documentation on this.
As to the sewing machine, I bought a decent starter at Target for $69.
