— Purple Avenger Back in February I posted about a RassPoll showing only 21% believe the government currently is operating with the consent of the governed.
That number seemed surprisingly low, but I didn't realize HOW low it was at the time. As a comparison, here's an old CNN poll suggesting 32% of the population believes in ALIEN ABDUCTIONS.
More people believe in freaking ALIEN ABDUCTIONS than believe in the representative legitimacy of current government.
That's quite a revelation. One congress and the president will ignore at their own peril.

PA:
This administration and Congress are actively attempting to damage the U.S.
79% of the population saying that they don't think their federal government is acting legitimately should tell DEAR LEADER and the rest of his regime that there's trouble in paradise.
The problem is that this regime doesn't care about its citizens. DEAR LEADER knows best, don't you know?

What I'd like to know is what part of that 79% think this government isn't statist enough.

5 Hey, at least the aliens only probe your anus once.
Aliens - Acorn. You see that?! They both start with A. Coincidence? I think not.

Seriously, I have to take a poll like this with a grain of salt.
What's the "baseline" (ie control level) of dissatisfaction with the gov't?
On the other side (about that 21%) there is always SOME percentage of the population that will answer "yes" to ANY crazy or ridiculous poll question.
Is Elvis alive?
Moon landing a hoax?
9-11 trutherism?
Bush a space alien?
Etc, etc.

So Government Health Care will pay for anal probes? I don't understand.
If you like your probe, you can keep it.

I think the alien abduction and non-representative government explain each other.
Clearly the people in Washington have been replaced by aliens, which is why they seem so alien to us - talking a different laguage, and seeming to live in a different world.
You just haven't realized it yet - the rest of us have...

It was the denial of lube on page 33,178 that I found most outrageous.

Not to mention, vote the party line, like you were raised, regardless.
