WaPo Profile of Hitler, As A Controversial Maverick
— Ace

And by "Hitler" I mean Scott Rasmussen.

The delightful thing about this is that they seethe with anger at his methodology (polling likely voters! How insane!) and then later note that he was the only guy to get the rise of Scott Brown right (and much earlier than anyone else).

So, essentially: They're arguing that the less-accurate methodology is the one to be preferred. And, not coincidentally, that less-accurate methodology just happens to paint the electorate as far more liberal and Democratic than it actually is.

6 polling likely voters! How insane!

Objective:
Accurately predict election results using statistical analysis.

Limitations:
You may not use conclusions based on statistical analysis to support your answer.

Rasmussen polled the Frank Luntz focus group formed for Bambi's fantastic Oral Orifice speech and found quite surprisingly that all white participants disliked the speech,  and amazingly so, the two black members of the group both loved the speech and love Obama.

While suturing up a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, whose hand had been caught in the gate while working his cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Obama, and his being our president.

The  old rancher said, "Well, ya know, Obama is just a Post Turtle."

Now not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked,

What's a "Post Turtle?"

The old rancher said, "When you're driving down a  country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle."

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued to explain. "You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, he sure as heck ain't goin' anywhere, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there in the first place."

101 The U.S. Government could just give itself standing (hell, it does anything it wants nowadays anyway).  I don't get why the Secretary of State would be the front "man" (soz) for this one.  Nor do I get why Hillary's going along with it.  The DaliBama will get the cred with supporters and she'll get the blame with opponents.  In that I still think she's looking to primary his ass in 12, I don't think this would be a good move on her part.  Then again I thought she'd stay out of his administration entirely on that basis.  Sometimes I think Bill keeps his good political advisors at arms-length from her, or she dislikes them cuz they're his boys.  The dude she picked for her own Pres run in 08 totally screwed her pooch.

102 When's the MFM going to get back to the real issues: like BO the dog's ice cream treats and Michelle's toned arms. All this 'supposed' news and  interviewing of random people whom supposedly affect the world as we know it can't possibly be more important than celebrity bullshit and presidential worship.

I mean it's been a whole day since I've heard about the Khardashians or whoever the hell they are but somehow they are important, who cares about this supposed recession/depression/oilspill/two wars/nuclear..................

Same thing on the Portland ME. am station that carries Rush. The news breaks from ABC are like broadcasts from an alternate universe.  And to make it worse they tap CNBC for business lies.

The bigger question is "what in the 40 layers of hell does the SOS have to do with challenging AZ law?  NOTHING in the law calls for AZ to conduct foreign policy.

Of course, that extra 18% consists of the RINO's infesting the GOP
