Washington Post's Greg Sargent Tries To Read Minds, Dishonestly Insults Conservatives Instead
— DrewM

Not sure what Sargent does well but my guess is being honest and fair doesn't make up any part of it.

He goes after rightwingers who attacked Obama's "Al Qaeda is racist" garbage by saying what we really mean is Obama only cares about blacks.

This has to be the dumbest attack yet: Some on the right are on a tear because President Obama allegedly said Al Qaeda kills Africans because the organization is "racist."

The hint here is that Obama cares more about black victims of terror than about white ones. Get it? It's the latest version of GOP Rep Steve King's recent claim that Obama has a "default mechanism" that leads him to "favor the black person."

Wow, I hope he got a good deal on all the straw you needed to build that strawman!

He then links to what are presumably examples of this "hint" that "Obama cares more about black victims of terror than about white ones". You can read them here and here.

Note, Sargent doesn't quote Jennifer Rubin at Commentary or William Teach at Rightwing News, just links. He can't quote them because they didn't say anything resembling what he's attributing to them. Was Sargent just guessing a fair number of his readers will take his word for it and not soil themselves by going to racist sites?

The problem for Sargent is they, like Andy McCarthy and myself, took Obama's statement on at an issues level. We all argued in various ways that Obama is factually wrong (hint: al Qaeda hates everyone who doesn't follow their brand of Islam and has nothing to do with race) and that the statement illustrates Obama's continued unwillingness to deal with al Qaeda's Islamast underpinnings.

Initially, Ace took a different view on the statement and Jonah Goldberg had an ongoing conversation with McCarthy at The Corner on the subject. Neither of them had to resort to cheap racial attacks and mind reading to make their point. Why? Well, mostly because they have the ability to disagree using thoughts and reasoned arguments.

Mr. Sargent, as is typical of liberals, seems only capable of ascribing terrible motives to others. It's the kind of thing people devoid of real ability and integrity do when faced with things they just don't understand.

He calls the strawman he built "sick". I call his post pathetic, but typical, hackery.

No. The hint is that he concentrates on worthless, stupid issues to distract.  The hint is that The Precedent is a worthless retard - and that's being overly generous.

-->It's the latest version of GOP Rep Steve King's recent claim that Obama has a "default mechanism" that leads him to "favor the black person."

Well, the Indonesian Imbecile is reflexively anti-white/anti-West.  That's for sure.  His real base, though, in his mind, is the third world.  Not American blacks.  He holds them in almost as much contempt as he holds the rest of America in.  He just uses them as part of his third-world revenge lunacy.

this was the last sentence, the article's title is:  "Ex-Clinton fundraiser gets 12 years in prison"  and drudge dropped the ball too:  "Ex-Clinton fundraiser gets 12 years in prison.."

So, if you only read headlines and that is what they have discovered most people do, then you don't even click on this cause you think it only concerns hillary/bill.

32 I hope this fool doesn't actually think the right believes Obama favors blacks.  Given the unemployment figures among blacks because of Obama's economic policies, the foreclosure rate among black because of Obama's mortgage policies, and the rest, I'd say Obama is screwing the blacks more than he's screwing anyone - and that's a lot.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say that, since Obama is disproportionately screwing blacks, he must think they're stupid enough to keep voting for him and supporting him despite the screwing they're getting.  Ergo, Obama must be a racist.

Yes, Sargent's whole cloth strawman is as sick as its creator's mind. So strawmen can now put words into other people's mouths.

I think that Mr. Sargent didn't read the articles he linked, like students cheating on their bibliographies, including the books and articles that come up on internet searches that are just too bothersome to actually read. Look, he constructs an argument out of thin air that he then explicates by projecting his own evil onto his opponents.

44 I have serious, serious leftist fatigue.  I'm tired of their stupidity...I'm tired of listening to them...I'm tired of how completely and utterly misinformed they are.

I had to listen to two of them in a class I teach go on and on about the "horrid picture of Obama as Hitler" they saw today.  I asked if either of them had ever seen the pictures of Bush depicted as Hitler.  Neither of them had.  Then they started on the 'everyone is saying racists things about him.'

So, I gave them extra hard exercises to do. ;o)

45 It isn't that he doesn't understand, but that he isn't even trying to understand.

The name of his game is not to understand and evaluate ideas and opinions honestly and objectively, but to find fault in the words and deeds of his political enemies, and if need be to invent fault.

There are two kinds of liars.  Those who lie when they speak, and those who lie when they listen.

The latter will always deliberately misinterpret things.  They will listen deceitfully and look for opportunities to pretend that you said things you didn't say, or maliciously work to put their own spin and interpretation on things you did say, which amounts to the same thing.

This is why legalese was invented.

Leftards aren't the only ones who do this, though they are more prone to it than most.

46 (Reuters) - Pakistani censors have banned an Indian comedy film featuring a lookalike of al Qaeda mastermind Osama bin Laden, the film's distributor said on Wednesday.
The ban had been anticipated on grounds that Islamist extremists could use it as a pretext for attacks.
...
Walwater Media's production, "Tere Bin Laden" ("Without You, Bin Laden"), revolves around a television journalist whose sole ambition is to gain residency in the United States.
The journalist, played by Pakistani pop star Ali Zafar, films a video with the lookalike, which quickly goes viral online, and attempts to migrate to the United States.

Dept of Energy Human Genome project.

DNA studies do not indicate that separate classifiable subspecies (races) exist within modern humans. While different genes for physical traits such as skin and hair color can be identified between individuals, no consistent patterns of genes across the human genome exist to distinguish one race from another. There also is no genetic basis for divisions of human ethnicity. People who have lived in the same geographic region for many generations may have some alleles in common, but no allele will be found in all members of one population and in no members of any other.

The race  protectors know the worst racists are those who deny races exits (like Hitchens), those who search for un-biased knowledge  and scientific advancement and those who think justice is blind to race. The DoE is racist and the Holder and Obama regime are ignoring this obvious republican/Bush/Cheney plot to engineer the human genome.
