We Muslims Know Ground Zero Victory Mosque Is Deliberate Bad-Faith Provocation
— Ace

Of course, of course.

Thankfully some Muslims will speak out against it.

When we try to understand the reasoning behind building a mosque at the epicentre of the worst-ever attack on the U.S., we wonder why its proponents don't build a monument to those who died in the attack?

New York currently boasts at least 30 mosques so it's not as if there is pressing need to find space for worshippers. The fact we Muslims know the idea behind the Ground Zero mosque is meant to be a deliberate provocation to thumb our noses at the infidel. The proposal has been made in bad faith and in Islamic parlance, such an act is referred to as "Fitna," meaning "mischief-making" that is clearly forbidden in the Koran.

The Koran commands Muslims to, "Be considerate when you debate with the People of the Book" -- i.e., Jews and Christians. Building an exclusive place of worship for Muslims at the place where Muslims killed thousands of New Yorkers is not being considerate or sensitive, it is undoubtedly an act of "fitna"

So what gives Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf of the "Cordoba Initiative" and his cohorts the misplaced idea that they will increase tolerance for Muslims by brazenly displaying their own intolerance in this case?

Do they not understand that building a mosque at Ground Zero is equivalent to permitting a Serbian Orthodox church near the killing fields of Srebrenica where 8,000 Muslim men and boys were slaughtered?

7 From today's news from Compass Direct: Zanzibar Officials Stop Church Building, Erect Mosque Compass Direct reports that on an island off the coast of East Africa where the local government limits the ability of Christians to obtain land, officials in one town have colluded with area Muslims to erect a mosque in place of a planned church building. On the Tanzanian island of Zanzibar, Pastor Paulo Kamole Masegi of the Evangelistic Assemblies of God had purchased land in April 2007 for a church building in Mwanyanya-Mtoni, and by November of that year he had built a house that served as a temporary worship center, he said. Soon area Muslim residents objected, said Pastor Lucian Mgaywa of the Church of God in Tanzania. In August 2009, local Muslims began to build a mosque just three feet away from the church plot. In November 2009, Pastor Masegi began building a permanent church structure. Angry Muslims invaded the compound and destroyed the structure's foundation, the pastors said. Church leaders reported the destruction to police, who took no action - and also refused to release the crime report, so that the case could not go to court. The planned church building's fate appeared to have been sealed earlier this year when Western District Commissioner Ali Mohammed Ali notified Pastor Masegi that he had no right to hold worship in a house. "Now the Christian faithful are feeling targeted even by the government officials," said Pastor Masegi. Ladies and gentleman, Islam is an expansionist ideology that seeks world domination. Stand against it, or lose everything. Let not this abomination be erected on our Holy ground. Best regards, Peter Warner.

Sorry, but I can't fault the Muslims who want to build a mosque on that site.

I've got only contempt for the cowardly New Yorkers who will condone it, foolishly believing that appeasement will spare them from receiving another attack ....; the same incredible stupidity that got those damned fools into trouble twice in a 10 year period already.

Those assholes never learn. They deserve to be bombed into oblivion.

Fortunately for them, the Muslims don't realize that the rest of this country would consider it a favor to us if they would turn all five boros of New York City into a giant hole in the ground, and while they're at it, if they'll obliterate Chicago and San Francisco, too, I'll help them to build mosques where all three of those liberal bastions used to be..

It looks more like a bank or fortress than a church. It was a place of refuge and sanctuary for Catholics who were victims of natavist riots Giant bronze doors could be closed to protect the hordes of frightened Catholics when the mobs attacked. For the first 175 years or so after New Amsterdam/York was founded the Catholics were not allowed to build churches.

Of course they understand.  It's the same reason they built a mosque on ruins of Solomon's Temple and converted the Hagia Sofia to a mosque.  Mosques represent monuments to the victory of Allah.  That's the point.

77 First, to correct the article, the alleged slaughter of Srebrenica is something we should be a little careful about.  In addition, there were Muslims fighting with the Serbs, including the action that re-took Srebrenica.  I don't think a whole lot of non-Muslims were involved in 9-11.

Second, it's important to note that Islam has a history of behaving in just this way.  I mean, Hagia Sophia, in Constantinople, wasn't built with four minarets around it, nor did it have giant emblems with Arabic writing covering the icons in place.  That is, until the Muslims invaded and used the church as a symbol of Muslim victory over Christianity.  This is only one example.  (Dhimmi laws that, to this day, even in "secular" countries like Turkey, forbid building new or repairing old churches, the wearing of any distinctly Christian garb or symbols in public, etc., are examples of a different kind).

With all the info we're finding out about where the money is coming from, I have a really hard time believing this is anything other than a typical Muslim attempt to plant a flag on the ground, or as near to it as possible, of a Muslim "victory."

the sinner,

Patrick
