— Ace As tipster Annabelle says, "Why hell, why be shy?"
There are two problems here:
1) Obviously the law of the land is not being enforced at all if illegal immigrants feel comfortable taking a promiment public role in a big election and talking to the press about it-- offering their name, and allowing themselves to be pictured.
2) While canvassing itself is not illegal -- only voting is -- I do not believe for one second that illegals, who identify themselves as illegals to the people they're canvassing, are only encouraging "naturalized citizens" to vote, as claimed. And I don't believe that many of them aren't taking their participation in American democracy to the next (illegal) level, either.
I think the GOP should propose a law (once we take Congress) that people withdrawing money from banks should not have to show identification -- merely sign their name. The bank can check to see if that name corresponds to a customer, but should not be permitted to request ID.
Why not? Apparently that system is a strong enough safegaurd for the vote; why should tawdry money be more protected?

We're nearly 100% "mail ballot" and the signature matching is a complete joke. A couple elections back, the signatures were still considered "public records" meaning you could look people's signatures up online. I don't know if that's still true, but elections here are deliberately beyond asinine. Also, the lawsuits over the 2004 gubernatorial election has had the result that people know they just can't be prosecuted for "trying to make sure my vote counts" by sending in multiple ballot and other "individual" levels of crap.

By far, my biggest disappointment with the Republican party is their ignorance in the issue of illegal residents.
They are sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution. And they are supposed to be in Washington representing their citizen-constituents, not the resident-leeches who live in their constituency.
To top it off, you'd think the Republicans would have enough brains and will for self-preservation. The illegals are the death knell of the Republican party.

Just on observation on the efffectiveness of liberal/progressive memes and controlling the narrative.
They are extremely effective. Just look at ace. His title is "Illegal Immigrants Openly Canvassing"
But as we all know, until just recently, the term was Illegal Aliens.
The whole Illegal Immigrants term was chosen because it sounds better/friendlier than illegal alien.
Pretty soon we will all be calling them undocumented imigrants. Or underground citizen patriots.

why is this always about us fighting back and forth about illegls- against US , why arent we taking this malice the elites of both countries do to the citizens of both countries? why do we allow them to set the dialogue? Why not instead give the mexican citizens the gumption and skills to fight against their own elite bigoted gvt. that steals all the resources for the good of a few families?
Ive never understood this argument, hell mexico is right next door. we can go across the globe to fight against tyranny but right next door?...

BOXER 47%
FIORINA 51%
If this comes down to the wire (Boxer only has a 1.4% lead due to the PPIC poll showing her up 5 but thats with just 43% of the vote) here we will need every last one.
Though, for some strange reason, I think maybe we won't. Republicans are pumped, Democrats aren't that excited for the election here. Sure Obama will have a huge crowd- we are a state of 38 million people- but Boxer just doesn't do it for a lot of people now.

That is, the secret ballot means that if you can cram your illegal ballot into the queue by hook or by crook, it still has to be counted.
It simply isn't possible for the state to clean up their own mess when the cheating is widespread enough to corrupt the process. And it is. The FBI and federal prosecutors in the 2004 election were handed a raft essentially slam-dunk cases and initially declined to examine them "Because it's a state issue." After everything blew up and the trial was finally over with nothing useful happening (although the judge did rule the ballots were illegally cast), they changed their tune. "We weren't presented anything questionable."

Right now we have a bunch of IDs for different things... while none of them are solving the problem of Identity theft, or voter fraud... I'm just suggesting that we pull those already existing databases together...

Candidate A to Candidate B: Do you hire criminals to operate your campaign? Do you accept the endorsement/behavior of (illegal) canvassers working on your behalf? Do you a) retain the hire of canvassers when you have been given notice of their use of illegals, and b) do you report their criminology to ICE?
Just because individual canvassers can escape deep scrutiny doesn't mean the politician benefiting from them can too. The question is which law-abiding politician is willing to make the charge public when it is discovered that illegals are working on behalf of the opposition. It used to be one couldn't. I don't believe the reticence to be a valid concern anymore. Legal Americans are perpetually pissed off about illegal aliens in our midst despite what the MFM/PC crowd crows.
