Not a photoshop, unless a major media outlet (the Telegraph of London) got played, and we all know that is impossible.
This Easter Bunny weighs a whopping three-and-a-half stone and is four foot three inches long - making him the biggest rabbit ever recorded....
Ms Edwards, from Worcester, has bred big bunnies before but Darius has been recognised as the largest rabbit ever recorded.
She said: "I only measured him this weekend and that was when I realised he was much bigger than Alice, who is the current record holder.
"He is so gentle and I wonder if this has helped him grow bigger than the rest. He does run around all the time, so I guess the combination of food and exercise has worked out for him.
"He really is a handsome beast though, there's always a bit of a glint in his eye when you go near him."
Darius is the son of current record holder Alice and the grandson of earlier owner of the crown Amy.
Three and half stone is around 50 pounds. Guinness apparently confirms this is the biggest rabbit ever recorded, and also notes his length is "over four feet."
Thanks to rdbrewer.

And now I comment here.

Rabbits are like goats, they'll eat anything and denude the landscape. In Australia they constructed the 2000 miles long 'rabbit proof fence' to keep them away from farmlands.

96 Actually, bunnies don't have as hearty a digestive system as one would think (grass and grain crops are high on their menu, hence the reason they seem like they'll eat anything due to the negative impact). Cruciferous veggies are not good for bunnies. Rabbits do eat their own poo (when young especially) to try and build up the intestinal flora required to break down fiberous foods -- most herbivores do this as a matter of course. They'll also eat it if there is nothing left to eat or what's there isn't giving them the proper nutrients in an attempt to keep themselves going. Goats aren't so "eat everything" as a lot of people think (in fact, they are mighty picky in their hay requirements -- if you want them really productive you have to feed them a very high quality legume and stay away from stemmy stuff). If they're starving, sure, most animals will eat just about anything to try and keep alive, but it wouldn't be good animal husbandry.
Yes, we've had rabbits and goats. Yes, we ate them.

Do we reallly think that little girl - and a Ginger at that - could hold 50 pounds worth of Killer Bunny that easily? I don't think that even Michelle O, with her man arms, could hold 50lbs of Rabid Rabbit without at least looking squinty-eyed.
Or is it racist of me to say that?
Silly me. Of course it's racist to say that.
Posted by: DocAnvil at April 05, 2010 10:23 AM (JUwNh)
I have a dog that weighs about 50 pounds. It is a significant exertion for me or for the vet to pick up the dog when it needs to be examined. I doubt that a little girl would be able to lift a 50 pound animal with as little effort as is shown in the picture.

118 No, I didn't starve them -- I fed them well...so they could feed me well.
And yes, they were delicious -- so were all those cute little baby lambs, goats, calves, piggys, chickies, duckies, and geese (except I waited until the fowl got growed up). Shot and ate Bambi too (along with some of his little woodland friends) -- all delicious. Oh, and some of their hides came in handy too -- custom deerskin chaps are just teh bomb.
Yes, yes, I'm going to PETA hell; don't care.
