WV AG: 11/2 Rx OK
— Ace

KKK RIP; replacement TBD.

West Virginia's attorney general says Gov. Joe Manchin can put the late Robert C. Byrd's Senate seat on the ballot this November.

Manchin requested a legal opinion from Attorney General Darrell McGraw, who issued it Thursday.

...

Manchin may now call a special legislative session to settle details such as candidate filing and party nomination deadlines.

7 The entire West Virginia Republican caucus can meet in a phone booth in Charleston.  At least the next pork-swilling Dem(agouge) won't have Sheets seniority.  Manchin's a shoo-in if he wants it.

Ace is already three sheets to the wind.

Get it? Sheets. Because Robert Byrd was a member of the Klu Klux Klan. And they wear sheets. And I'm implying that Ace is drunk. Three sheets to the wind is an expression for that idea. And it's a post on Robert Byrd. Who was in the KKK. Who use sheets...

Am I over-explaining this?

29 Ah, the Democrats.  The seat was going to be up for grabs in 2012 until the top Dem in the state decided he wanted the seat.

Then all of a sudden, why we had to have the election right away, especially so we don't have any of those nasty campaigns with one of those undesirable Republicans getting any name recognition or anything.

Funny how the law says whatever they want it to say.
