Asa Hutchinson Cvcksplains His Corporate-Friendly Position on Chemically Castrating Children
— Ace

As Tucker Carlson accurately tells him: "You're pro-choice on chemically castrating children. What changed?"




Jazz Shaw at Hot Air writes:

Hutchinson tried to argue with Tucker over the contents of the bill, saying that if the bill only addressed chemical castration (puberty blockers), "I would have signed the bill.” He went on to expand that definition, saying that if the bill were only about "procedures… sex reassignment surgery, I would have signed that bill.” But what else of any significance is left in the bill aside from those procedures? He kept describing the bill as being "overly broad” and coming between a doctor and a patient. But that’s precisely the line that Democrats use when arguing against laws limiting or banning abortions. And isn’t a prohibition against surgical procedures or the prescription of drugs also "coming between a doctor and their patient?” (The things he claims he would have been fine signing off on.)

Tucker really hounded the Governor on this, returning to questions about the lack of research data on the long-term effects of these procedures on children. But as much as Hutchinson tried to claim that he "would have signed” a bill that only prohibited the surgeries or drugs, he then went on to give a textbook liberal explanation of why it’s "important” for parents and children to have these options. Honestly, my head was spinning by the time the interview was over and Tucker Carlson was obviously disgusted by the time he signed off.

Shaw notes that Hutchinson is "term-limited" and therefore politics are not a reason for this.

No, but the fact that he'll be needing a new high-paying job next year very much holds a clue to his behavior.

For anyone who's a governor, the only possible future career paths are the presidency, the academy, or, of course, serving on the boards of corporations.

Sure, mere Congressmen can become sleazy lobbyists, but that's too low-rent for a former governor.

Hutchinson has never been discussed as a potential president and has no entree into academia. Particularly now that the academy has purged all non-Marxists. Certainly you can't be a Republican serving in a university's administration.

That leaves the Corporate Parachute for Asa.

Now, you're not going to believe this wild coincidence, but one of the largest retailers in human history, Walmart, just happens to have its headquarters in Arkansas, and, you're definitely not going to believe this next coincindence, Tom Walton, an heir to the Walmart fortune, has very strong -- oddly strong! -- opinions on the gender of children.

Could there possibly be some connection here? Certainly Tucker Carlson seems exceptionally skeptical -- he says as much -- when Hutchinson claims he was not contacted by any corporate interests, not a single one, on this issue. Including, specifically, Walmart.

And yet Hutchinson knows Tom Walmart and Tom Walmart is extremely interested in children's putative right to participate in genital cosplay.

The Ruling Class, like the Ruling Class all throughout history, is extraordinarily focused on the sexual liberation of children.

And as was almost surely the case with Kristi Noem -- the word was passed to Hutchinson that his future corporate career could be derailed in a hurry if he didn't play ball with the trans lobby.

Whether the word is being passed by a corporate donor himself -- doubtful -- or, more likely, one of his lobbyists or lawyers, the word is being passed. Big money if you veto this bill, no job prospects if you don't.

This is a system of direct bribery of high public officials by megacorporations and it must be stopped.

And also, someone at some point has to record the threats and promises being made to him or her by corporate fixers.

And then a lot of very wealthy people need to go to prison for ten, fifteen years per conspiracy and bribery charge.

Public corruption is one of the many crimes the FBI and DOJ no longer bother prosecuting. 

Because the Ruling Class forbids it.

And no one can be considered for president who has not proven his willingness or even eagerness to tell the suborners and bagmen of the Ruling Class to go fuck themselves dead.

Publicly.

Any policy that limits individual opportunity also limits our state’s potential.”

The whole system is rife with this kind of bribery (board seats, media positions, publishing etc.). This is another area where conservatives were sold a bill of goods: the idea that endless corporate money could flow into politics and it would not affect anyone's behavior so long as it was all transparent. Oh, it's far more than just a valid question, and your speculations describe precisely why.

Transgenderism is related to sexuality and sexual identity, by the rules of those agitating in this area. This is a serious fucking problem because it begs some extremely uncomfortable questions. The fundamental basis of all of the progressive agitation around what they define as "gay rights" (marriage, public accommodation, wedding cakes, et. al.) is that they compared it to race. The underpinning of *all* of their positions is the "born this way" thesis - that sexuality is 100% nature and 0% nurture.

But if sexuality - and transgenderism counts - can follow trends, then this throws the "born this way" thesis out the window. It is an irreconcilable difference. The transgender issue is either overblown on behalf of an extremely tiny, inflexible, consistently-sized minority or it is legitimately *becoming* a bigger issue because more people are becoming transgendered. If it is the former, then it is oppression by the most vocal minority. If it is latter, then the "born this way" rationale for a bulk of the previous agitation is proven to be false.

The circle cannot be squared and this question will never be openly discussed as a result - it's a no-win scenario for them.

Akshually, lead pipes build up a mineral coating and after a short time that keeps lead out of the water. Now, the Romans did use lead as a sweetener(!) in their wine, but that didn't cause their decline.
Their decline was largely due to entrenched groups being more interested in maintaining their status than doing what's right. Senators had the choice to raise real Roman legions -- but having to spend more taxes that ultimately came from their pockets AND tighten the labor market by calling up the Roman people they hired -- OR handing a barbarian chief the title "general" and a patch of land inside the Empire. They took the second choice.

And, in the end, the people of the Empire changed. It's hard to maintain support for a supposedly divinely-inspired government when the people have changed religion and reject the very basis of your legitimacy.

Parents and schools and psychiatry are better off explaining adolescence to kids as the temporary situation it is and helping kids develop talents and abilities and good health skills like diet and exercise. I think the guidance and supervision part is badly neglected by all adults in many lives.

I think the only time I can remember getting actual pain meds was when I had kidney stones almost 40 years ago. Heck, I had 2 ruptured disks and they gave me a bottle of tylenol-codeine one time. Sadly, it's hugely abused. Only thing I could recommend (and with great trepidation) would be poppy pod tea. Tastes like shit, but works about the same as ty-co's. Downside - 4x the half life, extremely addictive like all of them. Upside - easy to get.

She's determined that her daughters must be, too. Apparently it makes her feel more normal or something? So she's had them in therapy and taking drugs their entire life, basically. Every single thing they do that she finds problematic is proof, PROOF of their autism. They're on the spectrum, dammit!!

Hint: they're normal kids. Very, very bright normal kids who don't respond well to how they are being raised, but know no better.

This kind of person needs to be run out of society. Assume her problem is legitimate and that social distancing matters. It doesn't, but roll with it for the sake of argument.

She's in an environment where social distancing is impossible (an elevator). She then freaks out because someone enters the elevator with her because the new person is too close. She then demands that the other person leave and freaks out when the other person refuses.

The correct answer was for *her* to leave. She can *ask* the other person to leave. If the other person refuses, the right response is to step off herself and wait for the next car, not throw a temper tantrum and start hitting people.

Yeah its a real thing, I didn't mean to imply she was a retard or was faking, just that she is autistic and was determined her kids must be too.  I think her being raised like that screwed her up badly.

I got hooked on a very high dose of Oxycontin back in 2001 before I had my very successful C6-7 Diskectomy and fusion. I called a friend of mine and told her how much trouble I was getting off the stuff (I had been on it for about 4 months and my surgeon tried to ween my off the stuff in just a week) and she said: "Well, whatever you do, don't chew them. It's like heroin!!!"


Now, why the Hell would she say that? I didn't chew them, but I can't say I wasn't tempted just to see what that was like. Did finally get off them, and now avoid all pain meds completely.

Pixy, here's another for the pile. It looks like sometimes the main page will link to the article via "ace.mu.nu/article-headline" and sometimes via "ace.mu.nu/{number}"


When it uses the headline approach, we run into a collision with another default behavior (apparently, based on some quick testing) where a non-existent URL doesn't return a 404 but instead just goes to the main page. This is easy to demonstrate, just go to "ace.mu.nu/{random crap}" and it will land you on the front page.

Clicking the "Comments" button when the "article headline" approach is used does exactly this, because that page apparently doesn't exist. If you go through and fix capitalization, though, you can get to the page and see the comment box. I did this and posted a comment, but after the refresh the URL reverted to all lower case and I return to the main page. If I return to the capitalized URL, my comment does not appear. It shows one comment on the main page, but it doesn't render.

I am *guessing* that this is related to the fact that my comment took and is in the database but it is associated to the all-lowercase URL instead of the capitalized URL, which is where the content actually resides in a navigable way.

You can see this for yourself. Here is a link that will take you to the post and give you a comment box that works, but your comments never show up while the comment counter on the main page continues to increment:
