— Ace Debuting in October (or at least that's the plan).
Apparently they're not watching videos anymore, but instead are watching reality tv.
First I was put off by this, but then I realized I don't watch videos myself and don't really want to so Beavis and Butthead's commentary on R. Kelly and Kellis or whoever would probably be a drag for me.
Also, the B&B compilations always omitted the videos, because they never secured the rights to those, apart, I guess, from the general license MTV had to air their videos. I'm thinking (hoping) that reality tv is so cheap and so desperate for cash they've signed the rights over this time around.
Is it good? Eh, the clips are okay. Not really top-drawer B&B. The cartoon/story parts were always a little lame, and this one's slightly better than lame... but it features Cornholio, so that's a big deployment of a fan favorite, and it's still only okay.
The show's strength was always the on-the-couch-making-comments part. There's only a brief one shown here, about Snooki from Jersey Shore. I guess I have hopes, but not expectations.
Get More: Beavis and Butt-Head, MTV Shows
Thanks to CAC.
Some old clips.

The clip wasn't that great... until they got to the "Jersey Shore" part.
"This is like, a family tree. If your family was made of whores."
"If they, like, did this chart long enough, they could find out where herpes began"

There is (was?) a "King Turd" fan collection on the net comprising every episode of B&B with music videos intact. I managed to grab all 12 or so DVDs a few years ago without Viacom sending me a C&D.

There is probably a reason they have been gone for 14 years. Just sayin'.
And MTV? Really? Does anyone even watch that channel anymore?

Yeah...the original B&B was always just them doing stupid things, unknowingly, then ending up bleeding or succeeding at things unwittingly. With Beavis on stage, it seems he actually knows what he's doing and is in control, to a point.
C'mon, Mike....you can do better.

My little brother was able to Butthead and I was able to Beavis (and a decent Hank Hill impression) much to our parent's dismay..

I'm the only one in my family that can do that.
I've had a few online gaming sessions where I had the group rolling with my Hank Hill.
Dammit Bobby!!!!!

Mike Judge was on Howard Stern once a long time ago. Stern was pissed because during the interview, Judge said how hard it was to do the Beavis voice and it hurt his throat. When Gary had him do the liners after the show, he had him do the Beavis voice over and over and over........needless to say, it was a 15 minute rant on what a fuckin moron douche Bababooey was.

Mtv, from about '82 to '84 everyone thought it was the best thing ever and then they just got sick of it.
Not sure if it was quite the same time period, but USA's Night Flight was pretty damn good. Weird programming though. You never knew what you were going to get.

Bizzarro hosts, weird movies, and a band (The Angry Somoans) that was always too drunk to play anything.

Yeah, it was the same time period, actually a little before Mtv i think, i used to watch it every weekend. It lasted until the mid 90's i think, great show.

Bizzarro hosts.
You must be thinking about something else. It only had a female announcer, and no band. But you are correct on the weird movies. Plus shorts, cartoons and anything they could throw at the screen.
It was...different.

Wikipedia article on Night Flight:
Dynaman was awesome. There are, or used to be, clips of it on YouTube. Hilarious redubbing of a long-running Japanese TV show. (Later seasons were used as the basis for Power Rangers)

The first time I saw B&B I was running around with 2 of the stupidest mofos you'd ever want to meet. It just so happened that one was blonde (Mark, aka Doobie) and the other was a brunette (Kelly, aka BUTTHEAD).
They broke into a house and stole the TV, VCR, food and toaster oven. Getaway vehicle: motorcycle. 9 months in county and 2 years probation.
Previously, Doobie had dropped out of high school and joined the Marines. Friday night, at his going away party, he smoked a joint. Saturday morning he was never going to be a Marine. Monday afternoon he was in the US Army on his way to boot camp. He was later cashiered out of the Army after he tried to drink one too many flaming shots of 151 and missed his mouth and then tore up the barracks and punched his Lt.

50 years ago they would have sent him to Leavenworth, not back to the civilian world.

Leavenworth would probably have been better for him long term since he, and Butthead, are both dead now.
