Andrew Breitbart Launches Crowdsourcing Effort On #OWS Emails
— andy

UPDATE: Here's the link to the email archive. Enjoy.

Original post follows:

Last time Ace worked on something this big with Breitbart, a Dem congressman wound up resigning and the seat flipped to the GOP to boot.

So expectations are high.

In keeping with the new media notion of crowdsourcing–enthusiastically embraced by the mainstream media when trawling through Sarah Palin’s emails–Big Government will be providing readers later today with links to a document drop consisting of thousands of emails.

The email archive, created by a private cyber security researcher, appears to contain messages shared by the left’s anarcho-socialist activists during the strategic and daily tactical planning of the “Occupy Wall Street” and broader “Occupy” campaign this fall.

Big Government received a tip about the existence of the archive, and we were able to contact the individual who compiled and posted it. He will describe the archive, and how he obtained the emails, later this morning exclusively on Big Government.

Through “crowdsourcing,” the media and the public will then be able to discover the truth behind the “Occupy” movement. (emphasis added)

More juicy details at the link, and we'll update with the document drop when it's available.

This is gonna be fun.

18 Just because they planned it that way, and it turned out that way does not mean that any one ever heard of it or is guilty of anything. If you're a democrat. If you're the tea party, it doesn't matter if it never happened, you're guilty anyway. See how easy peasy I worked that out for you. No sense in even doing this because it is almost like work or something, and that would be unfair to the #OWS jerks too. They are always being treated unfairly by people that work. The above is the Pre-written defense for any of the news media that ever would actually mention the results.

When asked about the SEIU organizer, Benjamin MEDEA- whose organization is supporting the demonstrations- said he was not part of it and the likes of Van Jones and Stephen Lerner did not want to even touch it,despite Van Jones promising an October Offensive and progressive uprising.

Jones held a rally outside  of the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. on October 5, 2011.

She also didn’t see a problem with unions being involved in the ‘Occupy’ protests which ask for Wall Street money to be taken out of politics.

Barack Obama was the single biggest recipient of Wall street Cash ever and unions are very, very generous donors to Obama – those same unions now involved  in the demonstrations in New York City.

also at breitbart

they want only their own money influencing the administrations actions i spose, of course the same old miscreants are not involved in this totally organic uprising.

56 Patrick Bruner, a spokesman for Occupy Wall Street, said that on Thursday night protesters tried to deliver a petition with more than 100,000 signatures to City Hall, calling upon Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg to allow the Zuccotti park occupation to continue. On Thursday night, the A.F.L.-C.I.O. sent a message to members asking them to show up at Zuccotti Park early Friday morning to support the protesters. That's a nice park you got there. Colorado Highway Patrolmen are forceably removing the last of the Occupy Denver illegal campers from the state-owned portion of Civic Center.  The campers were very smart to use state property.  If they had set up camp on the city-owned side of the street, the Denver 'shoot-anything-that-moves' Police would have culled the herd hours ago.

That reminds me of a story...

One of my older brother's buddies from HS had joined the Marines.).  Now, for some reason, he was on a bus in uniform, and some drunk dude on the bus started harassing him.

JW (the friend) tried to ignore the guy until said idiot actually physically attacked him.  JW defended himself, and the guy ended up with a couple of broken bones.

Now, JW was willing to let it go at that point.  The guy had attacked him, he'd defended himself, and several witnesses (including the bus driver) had seen it all.  Unfortunately for the poor sod, the bus driver was a former Marine.  He called the cops.  The arresting officer?  Also a former Marine.  The judge who ended up with the case?  Also a former Marine.

And the lesson, kiddies?  Never assault a marine- even if he doesn't kill you, it won't end well for you.

Same thing really, but much more sinister than a jerk using the temple of government to photograph his junk.  That the jerk was junk-tweeting FROM THAT POSITION was pretty shocking to many--that we have deliberate political destabilization from within the system should be frightening.  I.e. yes Virginia, these people are not just stupid and crazy, but evil.

The global nature disturbs me with the relationship to the proposed global tax by the same crowd, also reffed at breitbart sites.

Yeah Maybe, BUT, Todays Military takes a dim view of personal getting into fights especially in Uniform.   Yep. In the old Marine Corps the first thing asked of a Marine charged with fighting was "did you win the fight?" If the answer was no, then all hell broke loose. Loss of rank, liberty, SRB entries and a horrific chewing out including descriptors such as pole smoker, homo, and other acceptable forms of alternative sexual behavior. If you answered yes, you were verbally reprimanded not to do it again - wink - wink.

The possible relationship between abortion and breast cancer has been examined in over thirty published studies since 1957. Some studies have reported statistically significant evidence of an increased risk of breast cancer in women who have had abortions, while others have merely suggested an increased risk. Other studies have found no increase in risk among women who have had an interrupted pregnancy.

Firehorse - I agree with your opinion. Sportswriters are honest in that they know that they report on a horse race. All other journalists pretend they are more important and intelligent and deny that they merely report a horse race. The worst are those that won't report the horse race objectively because their horse lost. See NYT-WAPO.

258 Somebody watched to much Seinfeld:

Hi Free Folks,

This is a pretty radical proposal but I am gonna put it out there.

No demands. Instead, we will live and practice and be the change we want to
see. Our only "demand" is an invitation to all New Yorkers, all US citizens,
and perhaps all peoples around the world living under corrupt, exploitative,
violent and oppressive political or economic systems to JOIN US. Anyone who
feel dis-enfranchised, voiceless, or lacks basic human rights or liberties
should JOIN US. Anyone who wants to have a planet that will continue to
sustain life should JOIN US.

Liberty Plaza, quite simply, is a liberated zone, and we are forming a new
government in opposition to the dominant systems. We are practicing direct
participatory democracy, and we INVITE YOU TO JOIN US!

The logical conclusion is admittedly a polarizing, but if Libyan "rebels"
can claim to be legitimate government of that state, why can't we lay claim
to a new legitimacy? We are a new state that explicitly rejects violence.

I appreciate any responses or feedback on this suggestion.

272 From the Daily Mail: (oh and CBS)

From CBS:

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Just a few hours after protestors learned they’d be able to stay in Zuccotti Park indefinitely, violence has broken out as a group marched away from it.

Protestors, apparently jubilant over being able to stay in the park after their furious cleanup efforts, took their brooms, flags and signs and started fanning out at around 7:30 a.m.

1010 WINSÂ’ Steve Sandberg reported the protesters were saying things to the effect that now that theyÂ’d cleaned up the park, they were going to clean up Wall Street.

A group of protesters headed south on Broadway toward the New York Stock Exchange, carrying their brooms. Police were taken off-guard, Sandberg reported. The group swelled quickly and wound up in a confrontation with police as they tried to gain access to Wall Street. The standoff occurred near Bowling Green as they turned left on Beaver Street.

284 "37 ... Barack Obama was the single biggest recipient of Wall street Cash ever and unions are very, very generous donors to Obama – those same unions now involved in the demonstrations in New York City." So ... you don't see the internal contradiction there? As in: one of these things is not like the other? Let's start from the beginning, as Winnie the Pooh liked to say: the Obama re-election campaign announces $70 million in donations this quarter, saying most of that's from individual donors giving under $250 per. Meanwhile, the Koch Bros. go public saying they've already committed $110 million to defeating him, with more to come - if "necessary", up to a billion. Meanwhile, Karl Rove's group, which already has a war chest of $88 million, from only 4 donors, announces a second Super Secret Squirrel fund to raise and spend $240 millions aimed at defeating him - again, presumably from a few megadonors. So that's, what ... $498 million against $70 million. Obie's got Wall Street all wrapped up? Riiiiigggghhhhttt. Hey - How 'bout an AoSHQ Superpac here?

Posted by: Rex the Wonder God at October 14, 2011 07:11 AM (vahvH)

285 Every time the military is deployed they are the ones piping up about it possibly being another Vietnam. They are also the ones who keep droning on about the Civil Rights Act, racism, women's rights, and pretty much every other social wedge issue from the 60s. It was their heyday, the time in their life when they felt relevant, and it's impossible for them to accept that the world is different now. They call themselves progressives but they sure do seem to live in the past.

The question is WHY? I think I can supply an answer.  The Vietnam era was the time of the mainstream media's greatest influence on society - as a practical matter alternative media didn't exist - the big 3 TV networks effectively were all there was. The Big 3 networks brought the war into peoples homes the way that printed media never could. Those same big 3 media networks are the ones pressing the Vietnam echoes; they want their influence back. They pine for the days when Walter Cronkite could spew a few lies and change the course of history.Their problem today is that the openness of the internet means that people can and do call "BULLSHIT" on them. They don't like that - hence the stories about Internet Predators every chance they get. For the children - we must be silenced.

Speaking of bullshit and the TV networks: have any of the rest of you seen the NBC ad where they are talking about "a new program giving you the news with a 'slightly tilted' perspective? Can we guess the direction of the 'slight tilt'? Considering that NBC news is more of an echo of the soviet era PRAVDA than anything else - the 'slight tilt' they are talking about must mean reading old politburo 5 year plans out loud.

Hey Rexie,

I think you missed the "tense".  The statement said Obama "was", not "is".  That little factoid is for the 2008 election cycle, not today - so your research is useless.  We've also seen anecdotal evidece that Wall Street is abandoning Obama this election cycle as they see what a SCOAMF he is and how his policies is killing the U.S. economy.  Your research would, in fact, bear this out.

314 Found this note identifying a key organizer or OWS http://therealrevo.com/blog/?p=58273#more-58273 So, we were talking about Halloween, kids and trick-or-treating and a friend of mine jokingly asked, “Do you think Linus will be in the pumpkin patch this year?” Linus first appeared on the scene in October 1950, which means he would have been about 19 in 1969 when he attended Woodstock and lived in a tent fashioned out of his blanket. As such, he will not be in the pumpkin patch this year. He is now 61 and nearing retirement age. He will be down on Wall Street living in his blanket-tent once again protesting the fact that, at retirement, his lifelong passion of Blanket Sculpture had not provided him with a ‘living wage’. Even with his organic pumpkin farm income, highly subsidized by the USDA, Linus cannot understand why he is in debt. He is trying, really, really hard. The $150K he went in debt to get his Masters in Tibetan Cotton Weaving and Hydroponics has left him jobless, and unable to pay the cruel banks who, for whatever reason, seem to want to get repaid for the loan. What a scam! Greed, Greed, Greed. His sister, Lucy, got a degree in psychiatry and is a practicing physician but won’t “share any of her success” with him, which is a major down-twinkles for Linus. He is joined at OWS by his good friend, Charlie Brown, who is now a local organizer for PETA having witnessed the cruelty of Snoopy being forced to fly his Sopwith Camel in an illegal war against an innocent people merely to protect the profits of “Big Oil”. Charlie’s girlfriend / lover / spiritual advisor Patricia “Peppermint Patty” Lopez-Effron-Natsheh-Brown is modeling nude for PETA, but scandalously living with Linus in his tent. Charlie is wondering if he should have stayed with that bitch Violet instead, but in retrospect couldn’t stand being with her since she “sold out” to the system and took that soul-crushing job as medical transcriptionist. Meanwhile, his other friend Edward “Pigpen” Bannister has launched a lifestyle revolution embraced by virtually all of the protesters on Wall Street. His other friend, Schroder, took out a $135K loan for four years at Oberlin Music Conservatory, and has his masters in Performance Art. He now performs – when sober—at the Hyatt out on the interstate in the piano lounge. He is living in his mother’s basement, and for the life of him cannot figure out why they can’t communicate or get along. It must be a generational thing. Her generation had it so easy with so many jobs and not so many wars. Or something like that. All she does is stand at the top of the stairs out of sight yelling “Wah, wahh, wahh wah” which he thinks translates to “Get a Damn Job!” –but she is older now and much less coherent these days. So, no, sadly Linus will not be in the pumpkin patch this year although his heart remains in the right place and his motive is identical: Wishing as hard as he can for some unknown entity to descend upon him and provide him unlimited with toys, candy and cash. If that doesn’t work, he’ll go door to door demanding that others give him things, all the while complaining that someone else got a bigger candy bar, an extra piece of bubble gum, and life just hands him rocks.
