If we want to win, we have to get as serious about winning as the left.

Why, for example, isn't the Republican house talking about some sort of "windfall" tax against the entertainment industry? Or how about a top to bottom investigation? If you want to talk about business corruption in America there is no question as to what industry is the worst offender - nepotism, casting couches, "tax evasion", fraud, etc...

And the next Republican president should instruct the FBI to form a specific task force to look at how tightly integrated labor unions are with organized crime...

I saw a piece online within the last couple of weeks, it was a story on demographics, and which countries are growing & have young populations, and which countries are getting older.

Russia is one of those countries that is getting older, and is losing population. A hundred years of communism has squashed the life out of people's spirits.  There are more abortions in Russia than live births.  Alcoholism is rampant. 

Moscow still has a sizeable population, but the countryside is depopulating.  A photo illustrating the story was of a farming community someplace in Russia. The elderly farmer was still using oxen & horses to plow the fields.  It's like nothing has changed in the hundred years since communism took over.  Still living in the stone age.

I own a business.  We recently fired an employee for basically not showing up to work repeatedly.  He filed for unemployment.  We filed all the evidence they requested and he was denied by the state agency.  Slam dunk.  However, there is a free appeals process in place that goes to the court system.  So, of course he appeals.  So now I have to retain my lawyer and go to court to give testimony under oath.  Same exact info I gave last time by fax.  It will cost me several hundreds of dollars and probably half a day to re-win this case.  Thanks to LauraW, now I know what the little douchebag will do next.  Why not?  Its free right?

Most people have no idea the amount of financial risk that smaller business owners assume every day.  Between Obamacare (not just the hated 1099 provisions), extra regulations, higher taxes, and shit like this, lots of folks like me are saying "Why the hell am I doing this?"
