Another Candidate Match Game
— JohnE.

ABC released an interactive candidate match game of their own. Again, eleven questions on the following subjects:

• Two on the economy (jobs, taxes)
• Three on security (Afghanistan, Pakistan, U.S. border security)
• One on health (Obamacare)
• One on energy
• Four on 'hot topics' (AGW, gay marriage, abortion, education)

It seems a little easier to discern which candidate lines up with which answer in this survey, so you'll have to try not to wishcast your results.

Fear not, your results are non-binding. Take the test here.

I see a trend here.

I have a theory- Mitt Romney is from a black hole.

Think about this- the laws of physics break down completely there. Schroedingers cat is both alive and dead visibly and in the same space.

It completely explains how he can effortlessly change positions often within the same sentence.

It's insanely easy to game it though if you're already familiar with the views of the candidates.

108 Thanks for the "welcome" 'rons and 'ronettes!  I don't feel like a newbie, because I've lurked for sooooo long.

Sorry to disappoint most of you, but I actually look forward to reading the comments. (Hi, Andrew B.)

First thing in the AM, and last thing at night before I hit the sack.

Jypsea, I'm right up Route 32, just over the Carroll line.  Or as I say under my breath, lilywhitecarrollcounty. LOL

110 I got Perry, Santorum and Bauchman.... just like in the other poll...

112 109 Hiya, Kathy from People's Republic of Maryland...we just recently successfully defected from Columbia, PRoMD here to Middle Earth, Omaha.

I'm a graduate of OMHS.

Now in Utah.

113 "lilywhitecarrollcounty. LOL" Ha!Ha! Indeed! Good on ya for de-lurking!

114 Y-Not~how is Utah for ya? That was on the short list for retirement but I think we've settled on Boise. Closer to family in Nevada.

115 @116
Mostly positive.  We've been here 17 months now so a few of the cultural things are grating a bit... but we're in Utah County, which is more insular than Salt Lake.

But certainly in most respects we like it.

117 i don't know what to make of it.

118 I have not been to Idaho yet (although I plan to), but my understanding is that our weather is better.

Posted by: Y-not at December 19, 2011 06:28 PM (5H6zj)

119 I have to tell you, we are (unexpectantly) loving Omaha. These are the sweetest people. And they do like to decorate a house with Christmas lights around here. Taxes are high. We got sticker shock on the taxes here. Coming for the People's Republic of Maryland, no less. That's why we're not retiring here.

120 The problem with anything involving OKC is that it has already been severely discounted and even if  facts were unearthed, there is so much smoke, you could never get to the fire.

My bad for bringing it up. This still does not prevent me from thinking that Holder shouldn't be extradited to Mexico for crimes against Mexico.

Posted by: sTevo at December 19, 2011 06:35 PM (VMcEw)

121 yeah, i'm pretty firmly in the camp of our leaders getting prosecuted in our own country if they are found to have commited a crimanl act.

122 As a Perry supporter, I got Bachmann, Newt then Huntsman?!.  Guess should have said AGW was a fraud to eliminate him.

Posted by: waelse1 at December 19, 2011 06:42 PM (1M81x)

123 anyway re okc it's a little tough to think it's possible, just don't know, it's a lot to swallow.

Posted by: willow at December 19, 2011 06:42 PM (h+qn8)

124 And if you get Newt or Romney, which statements of theirs is matching with?  They have taken both sides of many issues.

Posted by: waelse1 at December 19, 2011 06:43 PM (1M81x)

125 Bachmann, Perry, Newt The other poll was better, and I'm not just saying that because I liked the other results better.

Posted by: BornLib at December 19, 2011 06:54 PM (zpNwC)

126 Bachmann is the winner

Posted by: Mal at December 19, 2011 06:56 PM (WgpyU)

127 You know why she is the winner because she is the only conservative in the race.

Posted by: Mal at December 19, 2011 06:57 PM (WgpyU)

128 they made Obozo about 8 shades darker than he is.

Posted by: avi at December 19, 2011 07:03 PM (iSFyV)

129 Paul. I guess my get out of Afghanistan position is inline with his, but there were no questions on Iran or terrorism that would have revealed his crazy.

Posted by: California red at December 19, 2011 07:07 PM (DXTKe)

130 they made Obozo about 8 shades darker than he is. Is that who that was? He looked like a man, so I figured maybe Cain.

Posted by: t-bird at December 19, 2011 07:07 PM (FcR7P)

131 Bachmann, Paul, Huntsman

Paul... again? And then Huntsman?!

So in this one, for me, Huntsman replaces Perry. Help me, Obi Wan. You're my only hope.

Probably. Then you would have gotten Paul, Perry and Bachmann, instead of Newt and Huntsman.

133 1) Ron Paul???

2) Rick Perry

3) Newt Gingrich

134 Took the poll. Got Perry, followed by Paul. *shrug*

Posted by: benning at December 20, 2011 02:14 AM (AK9VF)

135 This one was pretty hard with the average score being only 1.92. I got a 6 - but in my defense I'm been very busy the last few weeks and so my normally obsessive news reading has

Posted by: corsets at December 20, 2011 04:30 AM (Wj3p5)

136 I got Rick Perry, with the runners up of Newt and Ron Paul.

Not bad. I'm sure I'd vote for vagina-neck Ron after Rick and Newt, and before everyone else. He's my watermark.

Posted by: King Rat at December 20, 2011 05:07 AM (Da6a7)

137 Came up Bachmann, Perry, Gingrich  for me.
Sounds about right.

Posted by: 1idvet at December 20, 2011 07:27 AM (xUxh3)

138 I got Bachmann and Huntsman from both systems. This one gave me Perry as the other guy, while the former test gave me Santorum. I guess Bachmann has good policy positions, but loses on other factors.
