Yes, it was very unsettling to me as well.  I was looking for a very powerful visual to describe what's about to happen to these people.  What's truly sad is that no matter how much they pay, how high taxes for the "rich" get, it is already not enough to sate the beast that is our government and things will never get better.

Regarding the scene from the film, I think the director took a turn for the creepy when his movie stopped being cinema and suddenly become torture porn.  It would have been ok if the scene was about half or maybe a third of the length, but dragging it on for 10-15 minutes isn't pleasant to watch.  He should have cut away or ended it a lot sooner.

This kind of talk used to leave me speechless. Now, two years later, I'm beyond speechless. This guy STILL does GET that this isn't the idea of "some pollster" - that's it's simply WHO OBAMA IS!?! Where does he even GET such an idea?

Just think of how desperate this guy must be to WANT to believe that Obama isn't REALLY like this. Is it the MSM? Have they been painting a vastly different story about Obama that somehow was believable for this guy in spite of the facts? Or is this guy telling himself that to believe Obama is a socialist makes him a racist? What is it?

Well, at LEAST he's figured out that he can't support Obama - as an institution, or something - even if he still insists on believing in Obama, as a person.
