Belated NCAA Bracket Final Final
— Dave in Texas

Sorry bout that, I've been chasing my tail all week on planes and trains and automobiles.

1 Boeheim's Aneurysm DALE 43 of 63 119 119
2 Behold A Pale Unicorn Albert's Beanie 38 of 63 111 111
3 Vatican Assassin Warlocks Josh 37 of 63 110 110
4 buzzion buzz 36 of 63 108 108
5 My BigEffinDeal Bracket KenM 43 of 63 88 88

Format is Correct picks (x of y), points and possible points.

Congrats to Boeheim's Aneurysm, who showed us all how it's done except for that UCONN pick over Butler. But hey, even President "Screw Military Families" didn't see that one coming.

5 Remember, Obama was dealing with teams coached by leftovers from the Bush era.

8 Obama's picks would've worked out better had Patrick Ewing been playing center.  IYKWIM

As one who doesn't follow NCAA basketball I can't speak to any of this, except to say CONGRATS to Boeheim's Aneurysm.

10 Kansas was like a car spinning its tires in the ditch, and Bill Self was standing on the side of the road and....aw, screw it, I'm going on Vacay!

11 I'm not getting your format, here, DiT.

You say, "Format is Correct picks (x of y), points and possible points."

But everyone seems to have x < y && p == pp.  How can points = possible points if you picked less than 100% correctly?

12 Somewhat OT Jay Mohr is on deck in Jim Rome's Smack-off right now.  Tune in if you can, Delta Smelt!

13 Shit. I had Kloppenhopper in the finals.

14 The possible points was a running count of a picker's max possible score if all remaining games tilted his or her way. It reflects how many teams that picker had left alive.

It becomes a meaningless stat when there are no remaining games, but during the unfolding tourney, it helped identify the walking dead who had good scores at that moment, but a limited future.

OT, but come on.  This is some hilarious stuff.

Do These Pics Show Obama’s Had Brain Surgery? Wacky New Theory Says ‘Yes’
There are the birthers who question ObamaÂ’s nationality. And now there areÂ…the brainers?

It seems the latest theory surrounding Barack Obama is the presence of what appears to be scars on his head. Scars that, if true, haven‘t been explained and some say show he’s had brain surgery...

20 C:\My Documents\New Tone

Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) said today that the new Republicans elected to the House of Representatives last November came to Congress "to kill women." She also likened Republican efforts to prohibit federal funding of abortion except in cases of rape, incest or where the life of the mother is endangered to actions taken by Nazis.

Poor Gabby.

So none of you read my message on the yahoo wall and none of you heeded my edict ? Ok, I will repost ;

" In accordance with my new mandate via the FCC and with the backing of the 9th district Court. The scoring will ammended so that the team with the LOWEST percentile, is the winner. Like in golf. Get over it bitches, I won! "   56 Sycasuse Orunjemin  Bill   34 of 63    59 59   Lowest score, I won...that is all.

22 Yes, possible points is redundant when the thing is over, but I repeat myself.

23 Why don't the Republicans propose that Planned Parenthood be split into two independent parts -- one for women's health care and family planning, apart from abortions, and another for abortions only. Then have the government only fund the first part and codify that the second part will never ever receive federal money. That should be fine with the dems. We have compassion, we just don't want to fund abortion mills.
