Bill Whittle has a new video out that once again shows his mastery of distilling complex themes and arguments down to their brutal essence. His latest feature is a Voter's Guide to Republicans which explores some of the often repeated falsehoods that the Left attributes to the GOP. Apparently, the claims that Republicans are Fascist, racist, Nazis are untrue. H/T Prof. Reynolds

I am just sitting here in my hobo blind (a large refrigerator box in the alley just off Main St.) waiting for a prime 40 oz. buck to stagger by. The unseasonably mild weather has caused the hobos or as I like to call them, "Outdoorsmen"  to be extra active tonight. Maybe the hobo lure mixture of Night Train and urine I sprinkle liberally about has also caused them to stir. In any event, I, like Chuck Norris, do not sleep. I wait.

When the productive hours of one person are donated for the benefit of another that is called charity.  When the productive hours of one person are confiscated for the benefit of another that is called slavery.

After all this time, it is still the charity party v. the slavery party, and we might as well just say so.  The slavery party just never gets very far from their roots and there is no point in pretending otherwise.

The charity party still lives.  The slavery party is still undead.

In addition to what Mr. Whittle says in this vid a few more dots can be connected to illustrate the neo-slaver.

First, Time is the key ingredient in every decision we make.  Time is so important that we use it to punish prisoners when other forms of punishment fail to do the job.  Time is the thing that makes us all equal.  We are all born naked and we all die without taking material goods with us.  The Time between our birth and our death is all we get unless we can figure out how to get time from other people.  That is why slavery is such a powerful impulse and so many people choose to practice it.   Our mortality and finite Time is also why slavery will never truly be defeated permanently and will continue to rise again and again in the future.

We can get Time from other people by charity, trading for it, or by stealing it.  To trade Time we invented money, which is really nothing more than Time Coupons.  Slavers prefer to steal Time from other people rather than trade fairly for it.  When the subject of Time comes up, slavers will always try to change the focus to money, so they can use class warfare as a way to confuse people and hide their real intentions.

Second, there is nothing new about any of this except for the many name changes.   Slavers used to just call themselves what they were proudly, and that worked for them for something like 5,000-10,000 years.  Finally, a group of people arose (primarily Christians) who opposed slavery and won the battle to a sufficient degree to cause a lot of slavery to go underground.  The primary way to hide slavery in modern times has been a series of name changes, including Totalitarianism, Fascism, NAZIism, Communism, Progressivism, and Socialism.  In each case, the primary tenant of slavery* remain, but they are repackaged and disguised within the "new" political system.

* Slavery is the confiscation of the Time of one person for the benefit of another thru the control of the victimÂ’s choices.  In the most famous form, the choice control takes the form of “you will work, or I will beat you to death.”  Note that the victim still owns the victimÂ’s body, and in fact still owns the choice, but the choice is controlled such that it is only the selection of something horrible or something worse.

** It should be noted that Abolitionists did win major victories in the war against slavery, to the degree that individual slavers are not common, and slavers are no longer able to sell other peopleÂ’s children.  However, slavery has moved from an individual-based system to a government-takeover based system.

Note that every one of these “new” political systems uses designated bogeymen as a central element of obtaining popularity and control.  In many ways, the “1%” is to the new U.S. leftist what the “Juden” was to the NAZI form of the slavery party.

Annoyed with the clips I saw of the debate questions.  Here is what it might be like if someone applied those type of gotcha questions to you..

Sir -In march 1994 you said to your wife, quote "my goodness honey, our boy throws like a girl,  we should keep him out of sports..." but in July 2002 after a a soccer game you told your son he quote "is a great athlete and you were very proud of him?"

Again Sir - in Dec 2006 to her face, you told your Mother in law how much you appreciated her for watching your children so you could take a vacation.  But mere days later in January 2007 to a coworker you said you wish she would stop meddling in your lives and die already? Followed by both of you laughing... (rolls video... gasps from audience)  Sir do you wish all old ladies would die or just ones you are related to?

How can anyone hearing these two disparate statements, believe or trust anything you say? 

Yet we expect our political leaders to be able to square everything they have ever said ever.

16 @joffen This is a conservative site and so their are few people who would be happy if their guy got the knob slobbering in debates like Obama got.  There really is not a significant group here on that side of the issue.  I thought peregrine explained the difference well. 

*If that were true, he'd be asking questions about how the candidates will tackle the country's problems, not asking about how they are attacking each other.

Seeing this replay of 2008. (first pres election I really paid attention to) has been infuriating and its very much looking like its going to end up just as shitty as that one.

The trick is to have just enough of that Government and no more.  It is political overreach that does humanity in every time because "those to be governed" keep on refusing to grant their consent, but the pols do it for them anyway!

I also fear this may be true.  Being a slave removes all personal responsibility which is an onerous burden to many, if not a majority.  Far easier to say "The man made me do it!".   A free individual cannot blame others but must accept the outcome of bad decisions and press on as best he can.  A slave must also accept bad situations, but is never responsible for them as the Master has made all the decisions.

27 OMG - the Iranians just explained how they landed our drone. They simply jammed the GPS signals from satellites from reaching it, and generated fake signals that made it think it was somewhere it wasn't. That's scary, because we are now SO GPS dependent one wonders what other havoc they can play with our military around the world. But WORSE is this: this weakness was "long known" to the military. LONG EFFING KNOWN???? Jesus H. Christ, did our folks not think it would occur to people sooner or later that GPS can be jammed? It freaking occurred to ME last week as I was using my car GPS when I got a "searching for satellite" signal to wonder what the Army would do under those circumstances. Now we know. Heads should roll for this. And oh yeah, Obama is an utter pussy for not ordering an attack to destroy that drone. He should tell tehran they have 2 hours to deliver it to the Swiss embassy in Tehran or we firebomb everyone of their oil facilities.
