— Ace Huh? Didn't they get into office running against Bush's policies?
Her theory -- which is Obama's theory for explaining his own failures -- is that Bush simply left the Democrats in too big a hole for them to dig out of. His policies -- not hers, not Obama's -- have us with a persistent 10% unemployment rate and the country wrongly blames her when it should be blaming Bush.
I assume that's her theory. Who knows what the hell she's talking about. She doesn't.

Not that their policies could lead to anything else, but maybe next time they'll think about that before they promise to lead us back to the Halcyon Glory Days by completely trashing the country.
But that would require actual self-awareness, and they don't possess that.

The last republican budget had a deficit of 168 billion and unemployment was 4.6. Then Dems took over and in 2007 they doubled the deficit. In 2008 they purposefully destroyed two million jobs in the three months following the minimum wage hike. In 2009, Bush never even SAW the budget much less sign it. In 2010 the democrats quadrupled the deficit they doubled in 2007 to 1.7 Trillion. Further, the cause for the economic recession is the democrats Community Reinvestment Act and their protection of it while it was failing. Everyone knew it would fail. Republicans tried over and over and over to avert the crisis by fixing Freddie and Fannie but Frank and Dodd would simply not allow it. So the economy went bust.
They inherited nothing from Bush.

Of course they don't know. And now, the one they like to use despite the fact they had no knowledge of about what they were speaking is gone, too: It can't have been EEEEVIL BOOOOOSH tax cuts, because even the Democrats are now on record as saying they're better for the economy than higher tax rates.
At a previous place of employment, I had a liberal buddy (odd that we actually could both argue relatively coherently) who tried to pull that out on me once. After I'd demolished him (rhetorically, of course) he never tried that one again.
He never would accept, however, that people should be responsible for their own health care, not dependent on a Nanny State to deliver it.

CBO Says Repealing ObamaCare Would Reduce Net Spending by $540 Billion
The Congressional Budget Office, in an email to Capitol Hill staffers obtained by the Spectator, has said that repealing the national health care law would reduce net spending by $540 billion in the ten year period from 2012 through 2021. That number represents the cost of the new provisions, minus Medicare cuts. Repealing the bill would also eliminate $770 billion in taxes. It's the tax hikes in the health care law (along with the Medicare cuts) which accounts for the $230 billion in deficit reduction.

Bush gave us "No Child Left Behind" and the Medicare prescription boondoggle. Both of which are big government, anti-individual liberty programs...
which are leftist things to do...
which is always a failure of any leader...
which led to Pelos and Reid...
which is why the US has been corkscrewing out of control into the Sea of Third-Worldistan.
Shorter Pelosi: "You fucked up. You trusted us."

Never have understood how in any scenario Pelosi could get much higher than senior class president or so. At some point you have to figure the Peter Principal will kick in, even in the world of leftist moonbat politics. That she was two heartbeats away from the Presidency is one of the more mind boggling things I've ever witnessed in the political circus.

What is she going to do, admit she screwed up? No. Will the media admit they enabled this disaster? No. Is any Democrat going to say "The government is too big, there are too many public servants, and we can't do anything about it because we are toast without the unions?" No.
The only thing left is Bush, UFOs, and zombies. She doesn't want to piss off her last supporters, so it's Bush.

Other than destruction and blame - and the march towards progressive communism - what the hell are the democrats good for?

This may come as a surprise to the old hag, but Democrats were the ones doing the digging. Between the time Bush left office and last November, Democrats almost doubled that hole's depth.

Perhaps Nancy is right. Perhaps after 18 months of Obama's policies and 36 months of Pelosi's policies, people wanted to go back to Bush's (Miss me yet?) policies. Obama, Pelosi, the Black Caucus, Holder and Clinton have been a disaster.

That must be a Burning Bush to do all of that.
