Civility Watch: Democrats Can't Help Themselves From Pushing The Murder Button
— Ace

It was a scam, of course. Drudge's crafty headlines make it clear, on the off chance it wasn't before.

Jesse Jackson says the budget fight is the Civil War all over again, because apparently we have $4 billion earmarked to enslave blacks. Or something.

"[T]his really is a Civil War fight,” Jackson said. “This is making the federal government dysfunctional on the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. These guys will support three wars. They’ll support tax dodgers. They’ll support the wealthiest Americans getting tax breaks. They want to cut into education and health care. This is an ideological battle.”

Jackson said those trying to shut down the federal government are doing so to make an “ideological-religious point.”

“This is a Civil War fight,” he said. “I think Time magazine has it right. This is the 150th anniversary of the 1861 Civil War. Now those are determined to shut the federal government down to make their point — their ideological-religious point.”

He repeats "Civil War fight" twice in case you missed it the first time.

Tally: 2 war, 1 fight, enslavement 1

Eleanor Holmes Norton says the proposed budget cuts are like "bombing innocent civilians."

“We are absolutely outraged. This is the functional equivalent of bombing innocent civilians,” she said.

“It’s time that the District of Columbia told the Congress to go straight to hell,” Norton continued...

Tally: War 2, fight 1, enslavement 1, bombing 1, war crimes 1, straight to hell 1

Granny Rictus McBotoxImplants says it's a "war on women."

“There is actually a war on women,” the California Democrat said...

“We have to create a drumbeat across America.”

Tally: War 3, fight 1, enslavement 1, bombing 1, war crimes 1, straight to hell 1, drumbeat (for war) 1

A lefty FaceBook campaign to dump trash on Boehner's house.

Tally: War 3, fight 1, enslavement 1, bombing 1, war crimes 1, straight to hell 1, drumbeat (for war) 1, campaign for malicious vandalism 1

Dingy Harry Reid says the GOP wants women to get cancer.

"Republicans want to shut down the government because they think there's nothing more important than keeping women from getting cancer screenings. This is indefensible and everyone should be outraged," Reid said on the Senate floor.

Tally: War 3, fight 1, bombing 1, enslavement 1, war crimes 1, straight to hell 1, drumbeat (for war) 1, campaign for malicious vandalism 1, gender-discriminating bioterrorism 1

Dingy Harry also says this is throwing women under the bus.

Reid, D-Nev., said it is "shameful" that Republicans are trying to move "an extreme social agenda" that will "throw women under a bus even if it means it will shut down the government."

Tally: War 3, fight 1, bombing 1, enslavement 1, war crimes 1, straight to hell 1, drumbeat (for war) 1, campaign for malicious vandalism 1, gender-discriminating bioterrorism 1, gender-targeted vehicular manslaughter 1

Louise Slaughter says GOP freshmen were elected to "kill women."

In Â’94 people were elected simply to come here to kill the National Endowment for the Arts. Now theyÂ’re here to kill women.

Tally: War 3, fight 1, bombing 1, enslavement 1, war crimes 1, straight to hell 1, drumbeat (for war) 1, campaign for malicious vandalism 1, gender-discriminating bioterrorism 1, gender-targeted vehicular manslaughter 1, government conspiracy to commit serial killings of women 1

Okay, now I'm just being sort of silly because I'm bored. And that's just today.

But whatever you do: Don't use heated rhetoric that conjures images of war and might inspire violence!

On the other hand, Obama merely calls the budget fight -- which most other people would call his "job duties" -- a "distraction."

A "distraction"? His actual job duties are a "distraction" to him? A distraction from what?

Why, scenic Williamsburg, of course!

Thanks to lacyunderalls for pointing out the Louise Slaughter claim, which really buttons it all up.

1 How many women have abortions?

How many individuals are in the armed services?

When you look at it that way, it's pretty clear who's being targeted in this "civil war."

In fairness, the Democrats have no idea what was in the bills they passed from 2008-2010, so who knows what kinds of crap we are currently funding?

2.4 people in the armed forces

Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) said today that the new Republicans elected to the House of Representatives last November came to Congress "to kill women." She also likened Republican efforts to prohibit federal funding of abortion except in cases of rape, incest or where the life of the mother is endangered to actions taken by Nazis.

20 "Now those are determined to shut the federal government down to make their point — their ideological-religious point.”

I never thought I would EVER type these words, but he is right- Jesse Jackson is RIGHT!

The Democrats are determined to shut down the federal government to make their ideological-religious point that eugenics and the defense of child molesters is more important than anything else the government does.

That whole "it sounds like someone kicked him in the head," is a sign that's he's attempting to be logical. Whenever liberals sound as if they've gone insane, they are either

1. trying to be logical
2. really have gone insane

As best I can tell, there's two reasons: one political, and one ideological.

The ideological one came first, "Abortions BAD!" the political one came second- once it had been latched on to as a "sticking point" by the media, anything other than sticking to their guns would look like capitulation.  They've received a lot of heat from their constituents (us) over such capitulations already this year- I doubt if they're in any hurry to take any more.

My answer is to take that exact amount of funding, and offer an alternative whereby NEA, Dept Ed, ect. have their budgets reduced (or eliminated) by amounts designed to offset PP funding.  Then you can ask, "So which sacred cow will it be?"

Posted by: Lemmiwinks at April 08, 2011 01:03 PM (pdRb1)

This reminds me of something.  We're all familiar with the Preznit's wonderful "57 states" gaffe, ne?  Completely ridiculous, right?  I realized a few weeks ago why "57 states" has sounded so familiar for so long.  There are 57 member states in the Organization of the Islamic Conference, which has a permanent delegation to the UN, and which "...attempts to be the collective voice of the Muslim world (Ummah)" (Wikipedia).

Perhaps the 57 states debacle was simply Obama's first inclination toward showcasing his blatant dhimmi-tude.

I say if this is what they are using as their tool against cutting, USE that BACK, say ok fine, but SIGN the BILL. what was the $ of the bill? have we ever gotten a clean clear number?

We can bring it back up  later, after educating the Youth, through music, advertisments using whatever media channel possible  to take it on . In the meantime we need to cut. Take away their useful poltical  toy

I'm sure the Dems would accept that if they had to because they are the masters of money laundering. They'd easily find a way to funnel money to the abortion side of the house.

Stripping the moral factor out of the equation, why exactly should my tax dollars be used for an elective procedure? Don't tell me that Planned Parenthood is performing thousands of medically necessary abortions. Real doctors do the medically necessary ones, not abortion mill doctors.

It's a legal procedure but 95% of them aren't necessary, so that 95% should be paying for it themselves.

From Big Government:

Planned Parenthood CEO's Mammogram Claims Are False

In the wake of undercover evidence revealing Planned ParenthoodÂ’s abusive and illegal activity, the AmericaÂ’s biggest abortion business unrolled a massive PR campaign to defend its $363-million-a-year taxpayer subsidies.

[ . . . ]

Planned Parenthood has been insisting that they provide invaluable health services to “millions” of America women.

[ . . . ]

Yet this is blatantly false.

We got a tip from former Planned Parenthood director, Abby Johnson, that Planned Parenthood does not provide any mammogram services. Just to be sure, our investigative team called up 30 Planned Parenthood clinics in many major metropolitan areas. Every single one of the clinics told our actor that no, they do not provide mammograms. “We don’t provide those services whatsoever,” one staffer in Arizona said. Another in Wisconsin remarked, “We are just a surgical center, we don’t really do health services.” In Overland Park, KS, at Planned Parenthood’s “Comprehensive Health Center,” they said, “We don’t actually have a, um, mammogram machine, at our clinics.”

We called 27 states total. In none of those states does Planned Parenthood provide mammograms.

Because that would be completely ineffectual.

Let's say you have a company that has two major functions.  Right now, your company brings in X amount of funding from the government that can be spent on either function, Y amount of funding from "private donations," and Z amount of funding from services sold.  Now, the government changes things, and says your "X" funding can only be used on one of your two functions.  Don't you just take all the money from Y and Z and put that towards the second function?

You either have to defund it completely, or ignore it.  Funding "only part of it" is the same as funding all of it.

Time for a new meme:

The Republican budget is...

A secret war to ass rape your daughters.

Most over the top wins.

The Republican budget is...

Our very own Armenian genocide which will deny cancer striken blind orphans access to high speed rail, a fate worse than death for our Must Vulnerable Citizens.

173 By the way, Williamsburg really is nice, and a great place to visit. I got married there, even. I was going to take a day trip there today and/or tomorrow, but Obama ruins everything. What a pain to have him on the loose down there.

174 Don't forget Hank Johnson, who said the Republicans will tip Guam over.

176 You put all the dem responses to the budget together and it's not a critique of a proposed policy so much as beat poetry with a martial theme. --------------- Civil War fight bombing innocent civilians war on women the GOP wants women to get cancer this is throwing women under the bus GOP freshmen were elected to kill women. dump trash on Boehner's house. Civility.........(Bongos, finger snapping) --------------- Hey square. Who blowed up the owl? You dig? A'right.

Dump trash on Boehner's house. Civility......... --------------- (Bongos play us out to much semi-angry finger snapping from the half awake audience, the poet pushes the microphone stand over, throws his/her beret on the floor, and leaves the stage shaking his/her head so theatrically that his/her goatee/giant fucked-up ear-ring wags around...a sad edgey bass-line slowly fades out) Hey square. Who blowed up the owl? Where da outrage? And man, that Palin bitch is real real stupid. You dig? A'ight.

I don't know how Jesse Jackson can even call himself a Reverend anymore.

By using the same logic that gives First Knight Obama Leader of the Unicorn Brigades title of "Leader of the Free World". Some things you can fake with the other party completely aware its a fake and still come out satisfied. Just ask some of the Moronettes.

179 Camel toe alert.

I didn't want to be the first to point this out. I really didn't.

180 "Camel toe alert. "I didn't want to be the first to point this out. I really didn't. " No shit. I wonder if that shitstain, Princess Barack, asked his tailor to tighten the crotch of his trousers like that.

@159: "Hey, that's awesome! But South Carolina tried that in 1861. How'd that work out?"

For the first couple of years, pretty well, actually.

182 I hate these people. Hate them with every fiber of my being. Hate them with every breath I take. Hate with a fury that exhausts me. I'm so exhausted by them I can't even gin up a decent Facebook rant anymore. All I can manage is sputtering profanities. And that makes me sad.

Posted by: Dumb_Blonde at April 08, 2011 01:37 PM (h8L/r)

They aren't worth that - laugh at them instead. As Elvis Costello said in "Red Shoes"

I used to be disgusted, now I try and be amused

Plus, they hate to be laughed at more than being hated.

184 "These guys will support three wars. TheyÂ’ll support tax dodgers. TheyÂ’ll support the wealthiest Americans getting tax breaks..."

Wait.  Who's he talking about?  Sure sounds like the current administration.

185 158 135 You need to apologize to the memory of Seabiscuit -- he actually came up from nothing, worked hard, and accomplished something...and he, while not the most attractive horse, was still far better looking.

You're right.  That was thoughtless of me.  I denounce myself.
