If I did it, I would make about 15 dollars an hour, and work maybe 15 hours a week. It would be from home, so it's not a bad deal for extra income. He's worked at his company for 5 years, and they have a good merit based raise program, but they've also lowered starting pay a few years ago. The fact is that liberals don't understand that neither this world, nor humanity, are perfectible.  You'll never achieve fairness, you'll never achieve parity, and, along the way, the only thing you'll do is impoverish an ever-growing segment of society.

As long as wealth is not involuntarily redistributed, the poorest of the poor always has a chance, however slim, to climb up the ladder.  The moment you start stealing my life from me (in the form of the money I earn in recompense for my labor), then you actually make it yet more difficult for the poor to rise up out of their poverty.  All the while, you're not stopping "the rich" from accumulating more power- who do you think would be doing the redistributing?  You think Barack Obama, who is a stuttering clusterfuck of a miserable failure, is on your side?  Get a clue- he's either as stupid as you are, or he knows that socialism just makes the prosperity divide wider, and wants to ensure that he's on the "right" side of it.  No matter what that costs you.

A personal story for the resident retard....

Neither my wife and I came from money.  I came from a very middle class, at best upbringing.  My wife came from dirt poor.  There are 4 kids in my family, 8 kids in hers.  My ex wife came from upper middle income with 4 kids.  My wife and I both paid for our own college education and got degrees in stuff that has value.  Some of my siblings and most of my wifes siblings did not choose to do the same.  My wife and I are now very comfortable.  We live in a very nice house in a very nice neighborhood.  One of my siblings rents a mother in law apartment and has almost nothing to her name and even though has been offered employment that will increase her income substantially, she chooses to keep working at a job that covers her minimal expenses and gives her plenty of time to sit and watch tv.  My wifes siblings have a range of success and lack of, from multi millions to currently in prison.

So tell me this Einstein... how would society be better if my sibling who did not go to college, who does not have enough motivation to work more than 1000 hours a year was given part of what I have made after I put myself through college and I worked, 50, 60, 70 hours a week for 20+ years building up my business from nothing.  How would giving my wifes sibling money she has earned, while he was making the choice to break the law time and time again make society better.

Actions have consequences and once you take away those consequences, people are no longer going to do the hard things that should work out well for them in the long run.  I would have rather sat on my fat ass watching TV each day like my sister often does but then I did not want to rent a crap hole of an apartment the rest of my life like I had to when I first got our of college and was working 2 jobs so I could make something of myself.

Take some personal responsibility for your life and yea, sometimes people get lucky and they are in the right place at the right time or the wrong place at the wrong time or were born to the right or wrong parents.  Life is not fair and never will be.  Stop trying to make it fair because doing so just causings issues for those of us who are the ones busting our humps to make it better and rewards bad behavior for those not making the effort.
