Cute Vid
— Ace

I don't see many details, but apparently this large dog, "Emmet Thunderpaws," greets his master, returning from deployment.

In related news, Rick Perry just emailed to say "a huge black dog jumps up on our soldier."

Thanks to gg.

This is why I love dogs - their sense of loyalty and trust.  They are better companions than humans at times.

50 Man, young whippersnappers REALLY know how to hurt a guy... My wife's niece from Omaha calls looking for help writing her college entrance application essay for NYU. She starts out by asking how many times we took her to New York City. I said I thought about five times, and she says she was looking at the photo albums we made each time she visited. Then comes the part where she thought she was flattering me... "I'm looking at the 2000 visit album! You've changed so much!" With a dark foreboding of what was to come, I asked, "Uh, in a good way?" "You WERE a Good Looking Guy!" *sigh* I think I'll have some prune juice, a nice glass of warm milk, and go to bed awful early tonight...

51 I owned a dog with a person. They went a way for six months and when he cam back the dog was above average happy. Then after things calmed down, he sat in my lap, looking at the other person and started making a weird howling noise. Same thing happened when she moved across country and I didn't see puppywuppy for 2 years. I think they remember just fine and then the accusations begin with the howling: where the fk have you been? I've missed you! You broke my heart when you went away. Dogs really are a gift from God.

About forty years agos in Pasedena Ca some parrots escaped from a pet store when it caught fire  and there are now  literally hundreds of wild parrots in Pasedena

Coconut Grove is the best right after South Beach . I love the Cuban coffee too. I moved to NJ  in 07 and still have my truck regitered in FL lol Oh yes and the parrots are funny to watch because in the natural state they live in flocks they bicker and squawk when fighting for position in the palm trees.  I have only seen peacocks roam free while working in the Bahamas on Cat Cay.

Love this video and all of soldiers/Marines coming home. Thunderpaws knew he was out there before he saw him and that was so cool.

I love dogs, especially big dawgs, little yappy ones not so much (I do like Eddie on Fraiser). I know my dog is in heaven waiting on us to hurry up and give him some more treats (Goldens are never, ever satisfied when it comes to food).

Re: our moron Vietnam Vets, thank you for your service. My cousin was in the Army somewhere in the jungles over there, riding helicopters. Our entire family greeted him at the airport with signs, much to his great embarassment, but I am sure he appreciated it. Thankfully he did not witness one of my brothers throwing up on a businessman's shoes who was waiting to catch a flight.
