DCCC Conceding NV-2, Panicking In NY-9?
— Ace

Geraghty notes that the DCCC has withdrawn most of its troops from Nevada-2, voting on Tuesday, in an apparent sign that they don't think the Democrat can beat Amodei.

On the other hand, they're pouring a lot of money into NY-9, meaning they think they can win, but need to get those Democrats red hot to vote.

4 Something tells me NY-9 will come down to a 300-vote difference, after which 2000 absentee ballots will all show up with a vote for the Dem. GOP will not contest.

Hopefully if the Dem does win, he wont be the frothing jerk he's replacing. But maybe Ø's 10th jobs speech might cause the Dems to lose interest in voting and we pick up a seat.

11 I'm donating all the proceeds of my next single, "I'm A RINO Stoned Cowboy", to the Dems in NY-9.

And remember, you can't spell Scarborough without "ugh".

Posted by: joey scarborough at September 08, 2011 01:05 PM (Ou4YC)

12 turner should win.  but you never know about "dirty tricks" from the other side.

It won't matter though cause they have to get rid of two districts, one up state and one down state and this will be the down state one.  but that doesn't mean turner won't be a positive during his time of service.

17 Sorry. I'm out of pudding, Dr Varno. There's been a shortage in the stores around here for some reason.

Posted by: ParisParamus at September 08, 2011 01:09 PM (RShGI)

20 Even if the GOP candidate doesn't win he made the Dems spend money on what should be a safe seat. Not as much of a win as taking away the seat, but still a win.

I was in the car a while ago and heard a Paulbot from Oregon call the Schnitt Show.  Dude sounded stoned (surprise!).  When Todd asked him about Paul not having a problem with Iran having a nuke, the guy said, "Yeah, but that's only one negative thing."
