4  why do they do that?!!  idiots

that dude was great!  that is how the anthem should be sung

Posted by: navycopjoe hating on the cheeseheads at January 23, 2011 11:02 AM (pYurd)

10 What's with all this singing...and those flags...and the PLANES OMG thePLANESaresoscary!

Such a distraction for the players, that signing needs to stop so we can get the flags off the field and play FOOTBALL!  That's what's important.

Posted by: John Madden at January 23, 2011 11:02 AM (/izg2)

11 I have to root for the Bears.  I lived in Chicago for 13 years, including the year they won the superbowl.

Posted by: Pampers Co. at January 23, 2011 11:03 AM (H9ZAp)

19 I'm sorry, but that guy reminds me of Celine Dion the way he cheeses up every damn note of one of my very favorite songs.  It usually makes me tear up a little.  When he sings it, I find myself cringing a bit.

F-A-V-R-E.

He's the reason we've scripted a Jets v. Packers Superbowl.

It's a fitting tribute to the greatest NFL player of all time. This will help us usher him into the TV Studio...

You are welcome.

I'm looking at mine from 1977 signed by Walter Payton and the rest of the team given to me by my grandfather.  Although I never really rooted for the Bears, its one of my most valuable possessions.

My only question: How come we can NEVER have a commercial with more than one kid anymore that isn't a virtual racial menagerie, with the token black, hispanic, Asian, and Martian if available... but a perverted exercise in child sexual voyeurism is OK if it isn't "diverse"?

So I'm guessing there is a "message" that has some sort of "progressive" meaning.

Well damn, if some moviemaker shoehorns some kind of political meaning in a movie which is promoted because of all its 'splosions and high leg kicks to the face, I have to just sit down and listen to that wisdom.

Because fiction -- fiction -- that's where the liberal mind thrives.

The great liberal project, the great minds, the superior intellect has been reduced to messages in popcorn movies, monologues on low-rated cable stations and a complete unwillingness to compete in the marketplace of ideas.

331 So here's the thing about Barry and the Bears (or Chicago teams in general).  It's such a fucking joke.  I

the years I lived in Chicago.  It's a fabulous city, despite the machine politics.  But there is nothing about Obama and M'chelle that screams "I love Chicago."  They clearly identify with - and want to be identified with - the NYC fashion and intelligentsia circles.  How many times have we seen them at a glamorous night out on the town in Chicago? Ever?  I don't recall seeing them touting Tru or Alinea or even Charlie Trotters for pete's sake.  I don't recall her swathed in some Chicago designer's clothes (although perhaps I missed that).  In short, there's no evidence they love that city.

So I hate them even more for that, because Chicago is a brazillion times better than NYC.

So there.

Cutler is an ass.

Even though the Obamas seldom go back to their “home” in Chicago, the entire block is cordoned off all the time and you have to have a security clearance to enter that block. A friend’s family lives a few blocks away and she told me about it when she got back from visiting. Apparently there’s a synagogue somewhere near his house and every member of the synagogue had to be cleared. No word on whether the Black Panther members were similarly frisked.

Nothing compares to the first round of Th-Sun back-to-back games. Can a 16 seed upset a one seed? No. But it doesn't stop us from watching, hoping, and praying that it actually happens this year.

Yeah...third quarterback is an "emergency" position that doesn't count against the total number of players available on the roster...unless they choose to activate him.  If they do put him in the game, NFL rule (not sure exactly which) says the other quarterbacks are done.  So if Hanie gets hurt, the Bears are screwed.

997 Truck, I guarantee you that Obama was NEVER a Bears fan.

Never a Sox fan, never a Cubs fan, never a Bulls fan and certainly not a Blackhawks fan.

He's not FROM Chicago, he just ended up there with the wookie and was allowed to run rampant on the south side with his ACORN buddies for years.

No one that I know from Chicago would claim him as one of our own.
