Thanks to JohnE., stolen from the sidebar. (I have been reading news for two hours trying to find something interesting. I figured I had to get something up now, even if I had no comment on it.)

35 Matt Taibbi and Dylan Ratigan follow in the grand tradition of such luminaries as Walter Duranty and Julius Streicher. Unfortunately for them, they do not quite understand that they and the outlets they work for no longer control the message. A monumental pimp-slapping is coming their way next November and they don't see it coming. My concern is the backlash when the world their illusion is smashed.

43 28 Can we call them the Judenrat media now? Posted by: Bob Saget at October 17, 2011 11:34 AM (SDkq3) Incorrect terminology. Judenrat refers to the Jewish councils that were the intermediaries between the Germans the the Jews in the ghettos. They are more like Quislings and Fifth Columnists (ha!) or the Kapos. I really hate to use Holocaust terminology as it demeans the memory of the victims.

Reposting from other thread:

A Tale of Two Occupations (the difference between the OWS supporters and those who truly love this country):

Â…most of America has been watching in disgust as you and your friends wallow in filth just a few blocks from the site of the World Trade Center memorial, insisting that your First Amendment rights take precedence over everyone elseÂ’s while demanding that you be allowed to continue acting this way indefinitely.

You and your friends are perfectly willing to seek shelter under the protective umbrella of the United States Constitution, while at the same time doing your level best to start a revolution which you hope will tear down the very system that affords you those liberties in the first place.

.................

On morning Joe this morning, Mika's father said this:

http://tli.tl/8i1l85

I think it would be increasingly helpful if there was a movement to publish, worldwide, lists of who make, largely through speculation, enormous amounts of money almost instantly, and basically hide the fact from their social context. You know, how many Americans are really fully aware of how many other good people, letÂ’s say like Warren Buffett and others, who really donate a lot of their earnings to charities, to philanthropy? But how many more are there in the hedge funds, in the banks, in a variety of other places, who, on the basis of speculation, literally make millions of dollars that would take a century or two for the average person ever to make? IÂ’d like to see those lists. And they shouldnÂ’t be that difficult to produce.
