I agree with you wholeheartedly on the hypocrisy issue, ace, especially with regards to the vacations. I didn't see anything hypocritical in the Xmas decor issue, because I don't think that the Obama's are out spending anyone taxpayer money on the decorations; I think most of it is recycled and donated, work done by volunteers, etc. I am probably wrong about that.

Tree is finally done, and looks spectacular. There must be a dozen ornaments the kids made during various stages of growing up, they always have a prominent spot. Some of the glass balls (for real glass) date from the early teens, having been in the family since forever. And there is still some real lead tinsel, lovingly placed.
